Incredible experience all around. I was scrambling to find a heart shaped cake. I gave them a call and the owners were super responsive and very happy to help. They even gave me options for different types of heart cakes. The price was super reasonable, especially for a custom cake. When I went in to pick it up they were incredibly kind and it was obvious how much they cared about the final product. Plus the cake tasted AMAZING. Anytime I need a custom cake, I'm coming back here.

It was our first time ordering a cake from BiBi pastry and cafe for my brother's birthday, it was just perfect the size was what we wanted and the design was amazing and exactly what we asked for, the lady who helped us I forgot to ask her name by the way, she was extremely sweet and kind very helpful, the ambiance was very clean, definitely will try it again!!!!

I brought in flowers for decorations and she went above and beyond with the design. As for the flavor of the cake, 5/5. Not too sweet, perfect texture, and tastes fresh. I am a first time customer and I appreciated the service and accommodations lots! Since it was also my first time ordering a custom cake, I was super excited to see how it came to life. I was so excited that while we were communicating, there was a bit misunderstanding with the edible print that I was not able to notice early enough to fix the little things that would have made it even better. It wasn't too bad of a mistake but I would have liked to communicate more! As for the cake, I would have liked it with more filling or fruit spread instead of just the sponge cake and one type of fruit, so it was a bit pricy for how simple the cake itself was. I'm guessing I am paying more so for the decor of it which I will respect. The cake I requested was heart shaped with the edible print, white fresh heavy cream, and black lettering and bows. The purpose was to surprise the birthday girl which did exactly that, so I was happy with the outcome overall :)

This is the closest I'm going to get to a German bakery in my neighborhood . There are sweet cream filled rolls in cakes, as well as wonderful cookies to choose from. You pick what you want and it is weighed, you pay by the pound. This little gem is tucked in the corner next to Flapjacks. It's a little hard to see if you've never been there before. Ample parking unless it's a Saturday or Sunday morning when Flapjacks is full.

I sent them a picture from online and they gave me a discount and also communicated they couldn't do gold color for decor but it was a nice surprise that they found away to accomplish it. I LOVED THIS CAKE! The design was absolutely amazing! My daughter just turned one and we had her birthday party a few weekends ago. I've never had to order a cake but found them on instagram and all the amazing photos of different cakes. This was a white cake with strawberries and bananas with a cream type filling. Multiple compliments from everyone who ate some saying it wasn't heavy and wasn't overly sweet. So I saw this place had good reviews so I gave it a try. The lady was very very nice. Had good customer service. But the one star is for being wayyy overpriced!!! I paid $149.00 for a cake that was very very plain. I wanted a pastel green color but wasn't told that it was mint flavor. Mint flavored frosting for a cake is NOT good. The cake was definitely not worth $149.00

Cute pastry shop where the pastries at the counter are priced by weight! The man at the cashier provided service with a smile. It was about $5-6 for a coconut roulette roll, nut tart, and baklava paying in cash.

This was brought into my office and wow was it delicious. I had the pistachio roll and a cream puff of some sort. All was very delicious and not too sweet just a nice delicate pastry that went amazing with my coffee. I can't wait to go here and try something else. Our dear neighbors gifted us a box of various pastries and cookies from BiBi Bakery & Cafe. First, the presentation was exceptional. The pastries and cookies inside were all delicious! Great with coffee, tea or just as a treat. The pastries were light, flaky and sweet but not too sweet. Delicious. The coconut macaroons were amazing and so were the raisin cookies. Top shelf quality. I've probably sampled 80 to 90% of Armenian and Iranian bakeries in Los Angeles greater metro and there is no doubt that Bibi in Sacramento is by far the best. Quality, freshness, hard to find pastries and absolutely pefectly made authentically: fresh, high quality, and based on authentic, old heritage recipes using low - appropriate amount of- sugar. I did not have a good experience trying this pastry shop. There was an older man working whose name was Reza, not sure if he was the owner or just working there, but he was very rude and disrespectful. Terrible customer service! I bought about 2 pounds of their pastry, expecting them to be fresh as I was buying them for some guests I was having over. The quality of their pastries is not good and they were not fresh at all. read more

I found BiBi Pastry & Cafe when I decided to save my sanity and not make my own custom cake for my daughter's 7th! I called just a week before the party and would have understood if they couldn't take the order, but they did!! Wonderful luck and the ordering process was so easy. They took payment over the phone and sent me an example of an edible print cake they had done before. When I needed to change the pick up time they were flexible which was also so appreciated!! My husband went to pick the cake up this morning and said everyone was so kind. They even threw in a few baklava for us!! Delicious. Will definitely be ordering cakes from here in the future - the design was exactly as specified and the whipped frosting was light and not too sweet or overwhelming. read more

Very satisfied with our experience. I have two sons who birthdays are 6 days apart and needed two cakes. I reached out to them weeks ahead of time and they were responsive and able to make two cakes for us. My sons were absolutely thrilled when they saw their cakes! Made their cake dreams come true. The frosting is perfect. It's nice and light and not too sweet like the store bought cakes icing. The cake was light as well and wasn't overly sweet. They were so attentive towards the details and checked up on us various time to make sure they were getting everything done to our expectations. I found this bakery from instagram. over the thousands of bakery, I choose this one because the cakes caught my eye. I requested for a hulk cake for my son's first birthday, texted the baker and she answered all my questions. I felt very comfortable with my decision and went with this bakery. I simply texted her a photo of my cake, went in to pay for it the next day, and on the day of my son's party...it was exactly what I wanted. Your child's first birthday party is the most important especially the birthday cake. She did so good and the cake was delicious!! This was the first cake my guest have completely finished after cutting into it!! Light and fluffy, and not super sweet! My guests were even asking for seconds!! I am definitely going back here for all my cakes needs from now on! Customer service was excellent; her husband gave us some pastures to try too and it was so yummy!! Oh! We would have missed this little place - tucked into the corner of an unassuming little shopping center. We had stopped stopped at Flapjacks for breakfast and noticed the sign as we left. Nice variety of unique cakes and pastries to take home. I got baklava and a little nut filled pastry and my friend took a slice of one if the roulettes and a coffee flavored cake. Gentleman was very pleasant. We were happy with our choices and will be back to try other things! read more

I've since moved out of state, but during my last visit in January this year, the treats and drinks were just as delicious as I remembered. This was always one of my favorite spots to spend a few hours catching up with girlfriends over tea and pastries. The ambience is lovely and gives off fancy tea party vibes, making it perfect for casual conversations, book discussions, or just relaxing with something sweet. My personal favorites are the rose macaron and the mont blanc desserts. If I'm feeling hungry, I usually order the ratatouille, and the vanilla bean French toast is amazing when I want something sweet but filling. Matcha is always my go-to drink here too (though it's on the sweet side, so I don't think it's ceremonial grade). I remember my first visit; It was when I stopped by later in the day looking for a birthday cake for my son's 8th birthday about five years ago. I ended up choosing their chocolate mousse cake on a whim since it was one of the cakes they still had on display, and it turned out to be a good decision. My son loved it, but it was too chocolatey for me so he ended up having most of the cake. Still one of the memories I remember most from here. It was something I kept in mind that if I wanted more options and variety, I should arrive earlier in the day. There are a few downsides that keep this from being a full 5 stars for me though. The parking lot is very small and street parking can be difficult, especially during busy hours. The place gets crowded very easily, which is why I usually preferred walking there when I lived nearby. There's often a guard stationed at the front kindly holding the door open, though I imagine that's also due to the neighborhood. Pricing is definitely on the expensive side, but honestly that's fairly expected with a patisserie. My biggest issue is that service can noticeably decline when they're overwhelmed. Depending on when you visit, the line can get absurdly long (almost out the front door), and I've experienced slower service and even had my drink mixed up with another customer's order once. Since I order oat milk due to lactose intolerance, getting the order correct is pretty important. Thankfully, when the bakery isn't overly busy and adequately staffed, the employees are attentive, friendly, and very helpful with the ordering process if you have questions. It is still one of the Sacramento bakeries I miss after moving away. It was so lovely to have a bakery down the street from home.
