a birthday cake
Lisa L.

I came in to get a cake made for my daughter's 21st birthday they were friendly and sweet. I found a pic of a design I was thinking about. Changed the colors picked a time to pick up the cake. They did the rest. Day of pick up I was so excited to get her cake it was little bigger then expected. It was super cute space for a couple shot glasses and it had the whipped cream filling it was light and super yummy thank you I & C!!

my family and I have come here for the past few years for our birthday cakes, they're so good and aren't dry inside like most cake places.

My only complaint is that they sometimes run out of stock because they're THAT good! We don't care much for the donuts as they are a bit dry and there are many other great donut spots that serve soft fluffy donuts. The kolaches and staxx are what keep bringing us back. Staxx have been a favorite in our family for years. My kids have loved their sweet breads since they were babies, so there's definitely a lot of nostalgia attached to this place for us. It's one of those spots that has become part of our family's little traditions, and we always look forward to coming back!

The donuts were sloppily made and didn't even have the cute mochi bead shape as pictured on their website (and every other mochi donut place). They were small and greasy. Next time, I will order from Tomo Tea House - $35/dozen so still pricey but I know the quality will be great. The gal working there when I picked up was also super unfriendly. Why? The customer service, vibe, and unforgivably - the quality of food - was totally disappointing. North Natomas doesn't have a lot of high quality food places so hoping this location gets it together. But I likely won't be coming back to check.

I really enjoy Pastry Cat!…read more I have been to their popups, so I was happy to hear that they opened up a brick and mortar spot. It's located in the new Sutter Park home development. It's kind of a weird spot, since it's in the middle of track homes. Parking can also be a pain. We got in early on Saturday so there wasn't a wait at all. You order, pay, and then grab a spot. There is seating outside, but there's also a small dining area inside. BFF and I ordered the kimchi benedict (I think that's what it was) gravlox toast and a couple of drinks. I got a cortado and she got the hojicha latte. The cortado was good, and bonus points for the super cute latte art. The gravlox was super good. Good quality fish, and the flavor was really good. The kimchi benny was kind of weird. I don't think the kimchi+the croissant worked for me. I also got the hubs a garlic knot and a blueberry croissant. He really enjoyed both. I definitely wanna be back to try other things.

Maple Bar Rating 8.3/10…read more I do love me a good maple bar-it's my weakness-it's actually the only donut I will eat-if a boss or a co-worker brings in a box of donuts to work and someone beat me to the maple bar that day-guess what?...No donut for me that day. That being said, when I see a donut shop and I have some free time,I will make a quick stop-That happened today when I was out running errands and I saw this donut shop in Natomas was still open. I walked in and saw so many donuts on display but eventually locked in on my maple bar-the employee took a few minutes to come up front, which as a Yelper I didn't mind as it gave me time to snap a few pics of their offerings.Once she took my order of 2 maple bars, she charged me $5.50 for 2 maple bars, which's seems pricey but oh well-in the past I've enjoyed the maple bars here-so whatever. Like I mentioned I do like the maple bars here, they are so light and not overly greasy-they are sweet but they are supposed to be,they are a maple bars-I guess what I like about the maple bars here is I don't feel like crud after eating them here like I do at some other shops, they are delicious, light and sweet-always hit the spot-though a bit pricey. In closing-if u ever find yourself in Natomas and want to have a maple bar or whatever other type of donut that floats your boat that day-I'd recommend stopping here-they are pretty good. PS-I noticed the sign no longer says Natomas Donuts-it now says PGA Donuts-so not 100% sure what's happening at this location-but the maple bars recipe has stayed the same.

Later on in life-that all changed the 1st time someone randomly brought a Nothing Bundt Cake to a party I was attending-I was hooked. Funny thing-they are rather pricey-so I never feel very comfortable asking someone to get me a birthday cake from there, but I tell ya what, whenever a cake from there is revealed at a party, another level of party is truly achieved. Lately, I've just been getting the mini Bundlets, which are the personal-size cakes from Nothing, and they truly satisfy someone's sweet tooth without encouraging overindulging. This particular trip landed me at the store on Truxel Road in Natomas. This is my home store and one I go to pretty frequently--maybe once a month, more if I have visitors from out of town. This shop is pretty awesome, as the employees are always so friendly and the store is always so well organized and clean. They keep their display cases full of cakes and flavor options every time I go there. Very high-quality store. This particular visit was a tough choice, as I usually go with the Lemon Raspberry mini bundlet but they were advertising a Strawberry Cheesecake Swirl version and I just couldn't resist. The pictures truly don't do this cake justice--it is so sweet and so sugary while the cake maintains that perfect moisture one only gets at Nothing . It was love at 1st bite and sadness at last bite-so darn yummy. I would like to tell you the cost for one of these mini bundlets, but I had a reward and it was free -which made the cake taste even sweeter. In closing, if you're ever in the Natomas area and want to try out a Nothing Bundt Cake, feel confident that this location will give you a great product and quality customer service.
