Rosca de Reyes (small size) - Perfect for family of 4-5
Ricardo R.

Great Rosca de Reyes! I googled where to find the best Rosca de Reyes in Sacramento and El Trgal popped up with the best review with the most number of reviews and that signaled to me: "Consistency" Service was really good and attentive. The only caveat might be that it is a small store so the variety might not be that great. I will go again to check but it got a 10 for the Rosca!

Baby shower themed conchas!

I highly recommend this place! Friendly, tasty, and open to customizations. I had a fantastic experience with this Mexican bakery! I was specifically looking for blue conchas for a special occasion, and they were the only ones in the area willing to make them--and at a very reasonable price. Not only were they accommodating and professional, but everything was ready right on time. The conchas were fresh, soft, and incredibly tasty--exactly what I was hoping for. Affordable aswell. This is a small business in the Sacramento area that deserves the business give them a try.

Best conchas in Sacramento :) their jalapeño cheese bread is also so bomb! Definitely worth it!

Tres leches cake.

I was looking for a delicious Tres Leches Cake for my husband birthday since that's what he wanted I found this bakery with good reviews so I decided to try it and he was not disappointed the cake was fresh and perfectly balanced not too sweet not too soggy and the couple that helped us I'm assuming they're the owners we're just really nice she didn't hesitate on giving us samples of different kinds of Mexican bread without us asking for them which was delicious so we bought a few pieces as well The bakery is small but very clean we will definitely drive the 25 to 30 minutes to buy more Mexican bread or Tres leches Cake

Pan Dulce

We just moved from LA to Sacramento recently and have been in search of a quality panadería. We found this small mom and pop owned business by accident and decided to give them a shot. By far the best pan dulce we've had so far and we've tried a few. Conchas were soft, fresh, and delicious! The owners are really nice hard working people that recently opened up their business so go ahead give them a try and support your local panadería! 10/10. P.S They'll be selling pan de muerto and roscas.

Hours posted on here are not correct. I drove over an hour to here on a Monday and they were closed. No hours posted at the business either.

Small little place. Not what I expected. Service was a frozen stare. No prices anywhere. Good luck. Few options. Expensive.

I haven't tried their baos or pastries yet, but they do have a limited selection of options that look pretty good. I usually come here for their fruit basket cakes. The fruit is fresh, the icing isn't overly sweet, and the sponge cake isn't dry. Their fruit basket cakes are perfect for birthdays or even celebrating just getting married, lol! I've never had any issues ordering cakes from here. My orders are always ready on time, and the staff is friendly!

Large, very clean. All of the employees were friendly. It has a little bit of everything. It has a bakery, sandwiches, soups, stews, other items as well. They even serve an afternoon tea. I decided to go for the chicken and mushroom congee. (rice porridge.). I also got a green onion hotdog roll to take home with me. To drink, I had a green tea with lemon. The congee was amazing. A rich complex flavor. It had a little bit of ginger in it, you could definitely taste the ginger, but it did not overwhelm the rest of the porridge. The chicken was good, and for the mushroom, they used black mushrooms, which have a deeper flavor than regular mushrooms. So very good. It looked like a small bowl, but I couldn't finish it. Some came home with me, and it reheated very well. It also came with Chinese donuts to put in the porridge. Chinese donuts are a little bit different. They definitely taste like a doughnut, except they are not sweet at all. They are savory donuts, and are perfect to use as a crouton, so to speak. The green tea was very good, and they didn't overdo it with the lemon, and that hotdog roll that I had later, the pastry was delicious with just a little bit of a "chew" to it, they were definitely high-quality hot dogs, and it wasn't just green onion. They had something mixed in, I'm not sure what it was, but it didn't taste raw like green onion can. Just a great lunch. I'll be back. Thanks.

The staff here are truly talented when it comes to their culinary creations. I believe it was Miranda or Mei who helped me, and she was so efficient! Management and baker understood exactly what we wanted and helped make our custom cake just the way we envisioned it. Another wonderful bonus is their rewards program! I earned a stamp for every $15 spent and was able to redeem my stamp card for drinks on top of my purchase. What a great perk! There is so much to choose from refreshing drinks and delicious pastries to beautiful cakes and even frozen goodies that you can take home and enjoy later. The best part? Everyone at the birthday celebration kept asking where we got the cake because they loved it so much! Of course, we proudly told them T&5 Bakery! The banana bread had this wonderful caramelized exterior that complemented the tender banana bread, and the strawberry cupcake was baked perfectly and topped with a frosting that wasn't cloying in any way. The brown butter chocolate chip cookie was deeply flavored, and the coffee cake hit that mid-morning craving just right. I also appreciated the lovely touch of being able to get just as much coffee-flavored glaze as I wanted on the top.

My boyfriend and I finally had the time to come on a Monday (after the gym lol). We ordered a couple of items to try and I'll tell you I was full after a couple of bites and it carried me for the rest of day. We ordered jalapeño cheddar and classic sausage patty, egg, & cheese biscuit sandwich and biscuit 2 pack: blueberry and brown sugar biscuit. While picking up my boyfriend was recommended the cinnamon roll and he caved and got it! We had our pickup time at 7:30, but we showed up a little early and got our food around 7:20. There was a bit of a wait since there were some people ahead of us, so I'd recommend you going a bit earlier than your time just in case you're in a rush. We headed home to try everything. We really enjoyed the biscuits themselves as they didn't leave a dry or grainy feeling in your mouth. They had a good crust while being airy and light inside. The sandwiches were good, but they were anything crazy. Size wise it is small for the price you get, but I get it. It's all house made and fresh. We definitely think the biscuits themselves are the standout. The blueberry and brown sugar biscuits were a sweet tooth's heaven. The cinnamon roll wasn't too sweet either and had great texture and basically melted in your mouth. I never knew about midtown bakery before midtown biscuits so I would definitely come back to check out their other items, while getting those biscuits!

Review update. I've…read morenow had three visits to Faria. The first one was in the previous intimate location very close by. I stop by this bakery while getting in my morning steps before unit meetings at the Med Center. This roomier spot opens early enough for me to squeeze in a coffee and breakfast treat. The atmosphere here is warm and inviting and they now have a patio to enjoy the morning sun. I've been using their kiosk tablets to order which is convenient. The early morning crew always have welcoming smiles. The coffees I've had is consistently well made and caffeine laden. The Black Sesame Kouign Amann Latte was a first for me. That delicious flaky buttered pastry was perfect with the black sesame latte. I haven't gotten any of their famous pastries during my morning sit-downs here... but, I got to taste two peculiar breakfast items. First one's the Matcha Granola and Latte. This healthy breakfast fare is an amalgamation of matcha drenched oats, dried nuts & berries. Very good! The other one is the Mceggggg (yup, 5 Gs) which is an upgrade of the Mickey D's staple. This sandwich requires a hands on huge bite for consumption. The aioli with the steamed egg, grilled cheese, tomato and soft brioche were a scrumptious combo worth a try for the foodies out there. Faria is truly one of Sacramento's Oak Park gems. Can't wait to get another breakfast here.

The iced vanilla lattes were really good. The pastries were the highlight. The almond pain au chocolat was perfectly flaky, and the filling was absolutely delicious. The very berry pastry was my favorite. The cream was light, fresh, and had just the right amount of sweetness, and the fruit on top tasted fresh and sweet. The hash brown bread with ham and cheese was very dense and filling, making it a great savory option. I loved the self-serve pastry setup and appreciated how large the bakery selection was. While some items looked a little fresher than others, there was still plenty to choose from, and everything we picked was delicious. The bakery itself was very clean with plenty of comfortable seating, and I noticed they even offer WiFi, making it a nice place to work, catch up with someone, or just enjoy a coffee. It was fairly busy and a little noisy, but there were still plenty of open seats. Parking was also easy thanks to the large parking lot. The only downside was the service. The staff wasn't unfriendly, but they also weren't especially welcoming. I also had trouble hearing the employee calling out completed drinks, so I ended up waiting around 10 minutes. It's possible our coffees were ready sooner, but I didn't want to crowd the pickup area. Our total came to about $30 for two coffees and three pastries, which felt reasonable for the quality and portion sizes. Overall, this was a great first experience, and I'd definitely stop by again the next time I'm craving a coffee and pastry.
