If you are looking for a healer, Kim is your magician! I was introduced to this incredible studio by a colleague/friend of mine, and she spoke very highly of Sukha Happens. Of course, me being a true yelper, searched and discovered many great reviews. It was then decided, I've got to schedule. The online scheduling process was extremely user friendly, and immediately sent an email confirmation with the details of my deep tissue massage appointment... I've been working heavily lately, so I knew I was in severe need of self care, my only hope was that Kim could help ease my physical discomfort. I arrived 15 minutes early for my appointment, the door was unlocked, and upon entry I noticed the cleanliness of the yoga studio, and the organization of the many products offered. In addition, there was the amazing scent of sage burning (spiritual satisfaction) so now my senses are heightened and anticipation is rising. A short moment later, out came Kim with a very bright smile and open arms. We had a great opportunity to briefly get to know one another prior to my treatment while also completing the registration. I told her what I needed her to focus on, and she made note of it. During my phenomenal treatment I was mentally taking back to childhood ages when I could float in the bath tub and all of my body was relaxed, a time where there was no pain, no hurt, no job, no bills, and certainly no stress... I love love Stormey's massagesI am 68 years young and work out frequently so I have the usual aches and pains!! I have a rotator cuff and bicep muscle injury and Stormey has helped me tremendously with the inflammation. She has used a variety of techniques to help me live almost pain-free! She combines deep tissue, shiatsu, traction and stretching exercises for a whole body experience. The spa has a very calming and serene feeling to it. Due to muscle pain/injury in neck, back, shoulders and arms from a car accident, I have been in need of some healing/relief. I was determined to get an appt. with someone soon to relieve my pain, however didn't want to settle with just anyone, I found Sukha/Kim thanks to yelp!! Let me just start by saying I LOVE KIM! :) From the second I walked in and formally met her, I could feel I was in great hands. Kim has a positive, peaceful energy to her that I felt right away. That alone instantly set the tone for me. My massage was exactly what my sore body needed. She hit all the deep points in my muscles where I was hurting the most without me telling or showing her. Points in my muscles that were bruised, that I DIDN'T even know were there. She just knew! My next appt. is already booked for next week. I have chronic pain and really struggled finding things to help my pain. When I had my first appointment I left here feeling amazing, I continue to see Kim for my deep tissue massages. I have seen Stormey as well and she does an amazing job too. I recommend anyone coming here to get a massage just to relax or to get your body to calm down. Multiple sports injuries/martial arts injuries were capped off with 2 fractured vertebrae from a surfing accident. Now that the fractures have healed, I am trying to avoid fusion surgery. Kim is the massage therapist who has made it possible for me to live with the injury and not have the surgery. Kim is the best, both technically and spiritually.
