I used to come here to get my haircut (a year ago) because I didn't know of any better places. The stylists were "okay" but definitely not worth the hefty prices.
I mean geez, I'm a dude! How friggin hard is it to cut a man's hair and why are you charging me over $30?!?! Coming here and paying those crazy prices used to make me miss the old days when I'd go to a barber, get my haircut and a straight razor touch-up for $10.
Being the naive donkey that I am, I kept coming back to Suissa for years and shelled out tons of money for haircuts and some pomade. One day I had enough...
I bought a container of pomade and then changed my mind after I remember I still had some at home. When I came back to the store (the same day) to return the item, I was informed that they do NOT take back items.
"What? Why? The container is unopened an there's no where in your store stating that a customer can't return an item." was my response to the receptionist.
"I'm sorry, we can't take it back. If you want, you can speak to our manager."
"Yes, I'd like to speak to the manager right now."
The receptionist dials a phone, mumbles something and hangs up. "I'm sorry sir, the manager is unavailable and won't be here for another hour. Can you come back?"
"What? Can't I just talk to the manager on the phone?"
"Sir, you need to come back in one hour."
Oh damn....you're gonna get it now. "Fine, I'll be back"
One hour later after visiting a few of the mall stores and wasting time I headed back to Suissa. A new receptionist is now working the desk. "Hi, I'm here to see the manager about returning this item"
The receptionist disappears to the back and returns accompanied by a gentleman. We discuss returning the unopened pomade and he informs me that they're unable to process returns because the credit card machine isn't designed to accept refunds. I smell bullsh*t.
I keep pressing and he says that he WON'T refund the item. I stat to get really salty...
As I'm arguing with this man, I see there are other customers in line behind me waiting to buy some products. I turn around and tell them, "Don't buy their products because if you don't like what you buy they won't refund your money."
The customers behind me are shocked and I can see some of them are starting to question their decision to buy here. I press on and tell them, "You can probably find that stuff for much cheaper at Beauty First or even online. They all have better return policies than this place and aren't jerks to their customers."
The man gets frazzled and goes to the back room. While he's gone I tell the customers my story and some of them put their products back and leave the store. A blond woman arrives from the back room and kindly asks me hand over my receipt and pomade. She opens the register and hands me refunds my money in cash.
"Thank you, I don't understand why you folks couldn't just refund my money when I first asked. You guys need to clearly post that you don't accept refunds to avoid this with other customers."
"We will sir and we thank you for your suggestion. Have nice day."
"Thank you, you too."
Since that day, I have never returned to Suissa salon and I have NO regrets. Stay away from these jerks who think customer satisfaction is beneath them. Take your money elsewhere for better service, cheaper products and much friendlier stylists and staff. read more
