Somehow, Liz always finds a way to give me the look I'm going for, even with my thick, wavy hair! She listens to what I want, offers great advice, and somehow manages to turn my sometimes questionable ideas into hair I absolutely love. Elissa was able to do a bunch of highlights and lowlights to give me that transition from my full dye to natural color to keep the color I loved, while helping me be able to wait longer in between appointments. However, I decided to take a chance on this place because I had messed up the color of my hair. I have asian jet black hair so I previously tried to do an ombre and it turned out brassy. I went from brassy brown ombre to gunmetal gray ombre. So a few things I noticed: 1. When I originally emailed in to see if it was possible to fix my ombre to a gunmetal gray balayage, Joseph had told me that he didn't recommend it. Which shows me that his reputation is pure. He wasn't going to lie to me and pretend that he could do it just to get a new customer. He told me to wait and get my hair to a certain point. 2. After some back and forth about setting up a consultation, we finally set one up. He was extremely professional and patient with my schedule because I kept shifting things around. 3. Consultation: Aileen made me feel at ease immediately. When she talked to me she knew exactly what I wanted and admitted that this would be the first time she's ever done a gray balayage, but walked my through the color palette and how the process would work. I admit that I was scared, but her admittance to this also showed me that she was honest and if she didn't think she could do it, she'd make it known. I could tell that she was proud of her reputation. 4. GAME DAY(aka appointment day)- Although the salon is very simple, I think that it is perfect. There isn't flashy whatevers around, just a really cool hair dryer that evenly distributed the heat. I was also super happy that I wasn't put in front of a mirror to stare at myself for 3 hours. Instead, they had me sit at a table filled with magazines and in front of a TV. Aileen was extremely thorough and patient. I have a lot of hair. I constantly fill a bucket with just a trim. She painted each strand of hair like it was a painting. I was very nervous the whole time, but Aileen knew what she was doing. As soon as I saw my hair, I couldn't help but freak out. IT WAS PERFECT. The color was everything I had wanted and more. My hair looked shinier and healthy even though it had just gone a pretty tough process. Final Thoughts: I am so impressed.with their professionalism and care. They clearly care about their reputation and their clients. Advice: With a beautiful product comes a hefty price. The only thing I'd have a con about this place is the price, but I understand why.... I mean... come on.... Aileen painted EACH strand of hair one by one. To start with the positives: the salon is incredibly clean, the front-desk staff and the owner are very nice, and booking an appointment was seamless. Unfortunately, my actual hair experience was devastating. I went in on a Friday afternoon right before my birthday weekend, excited for a refresh. My hair was already at a nice shoulder-length long bob, and I explicitly asked for just one inch off. My stylist, who I believe was named Amira, seemed hesitant from the start. As she began cutting, she started adding unrequested layers. By the time she reached the front, I realized things were going terribly wrong, it was far shorter than what I had asked for. Once she blow-dried it, the full extent of the damage was clear. The back was longer than the front, chunks were missing, and the layers were completely unblended. Because I have finer hair, the texturing made the bottom look incredibly thin. When I pointed this out, she tried to claim I already had short pieces in the front, which was simply not true to this extreme. I was on the verge of tears, at which point the owner, Joseph, kindly stepped in to try and fix it. While I appreciate his effort to make it better, the hair was already cut too short to properly salvage. He trimmed the back to make it more even, but the front remains uneven, choppy, and missing sections. I left the salon holding back tears and feeling incredibly self-conscious for my birthday. Despite the severe mistake, I was still charged full price for the service. The cut is too short to even pull back into a ponytail, and I don't know how it can be fixed at this point.

Extremely Disappointing Experience with Zero Compassion…read more I had a haircut scheduled with Cara at 11:00 AM today. At 7:00 AM that morning, my 3-year-old daughter woke up with a 104.2 fever. Any parent knows that means an immediate call to the pediatrician or urgent care. At 7:15 AM, I emailed the salon explaining the situation and asked if I could please reschedule to next week. Their response was simply that their policy requires charging 50% of the service cost for missed appointments, and that they would "gladly reschedule" once the fee was applied. (see image attached) While I understand that businesses have cancellation policies, this response felt surprisingly rigid given the circumstances. Then, about 20 minutes before the appointment, my daughter began violently vomiting everywhere, making it impossible to bring her with me and confirming that she needed immediate medical care. Despite all this, I still went to the salon briefly to explain the situation in person, hoping that speaking face-to-face might allow for a little understanding and how they should consider extenuating circumstances to retain customers. I explained that my child had a 104 fever and was now vomiting, and asked why there wasn't any flexibility. The front desk called the owner, but instead Cara came out to speak with me. What followed was honestly shocking. Her response was chillingly cold and essentially she said policy is policy over and over. Frankly, it was incredibly weird and off putting. There was no pause, no concern about the situation, no attempt to work with me -- just a flat statement that the charge still applies regardless of the circumstances. Mind you, at that point I was already in the salon, so it wasn't a cancelled appointment at that point. I was seeking non robotic clarification. She said it so many times that I felt pushed out. It was weird and creepy. I fully respect that businesses need cancellation policies. However, the complete lack of empathy or discretion in an obvious medical situation involving a small child was deeply disappointing. Policies matter. But how you treat people when real life happens matters more. If you choose to book here, just be aware that there appears to be no flexibility even for legitimate emergencies.

Carissa was my stylist and worked her magic with my hair. She listened to what I wanted and even used her expertise to offer ideas.
