We found this place for our wedding (after I said yes to the dress at the bridal shop next door) and we were so pleased with the tasting, I ordered a birthday cake for my fiancé. He loves Dinosaurs so I told them to just make it "look good" over the phone and they nailed it. I appreciate that they asked if I wanted a realistic Dino or cartoonish. They blew me away with the decoration, the detail was amazing. It blew people away and the taste did too! Normally cakes that look this good don't taste great, not the case here! We got the rainbow/sprinkle cake with fudge center, oh the fudge! So good! My mother-in-law picked up the cake and mentioned how nice the service was. I appreciate them so much and look forward to the big day and the cake!! read more

Cupcakes are absolutely amazing!! & I've had many cupcakes in my days. Lol. The cake is soft & moist but not too soft where it's falling apart. It's just perfect. The frosting is nice & flavorful. Not too sweet. I ordered the triple chocolate, vanilla, salted caramel & pink champagne. read more

During "happy hour" cupcakes are only $1. They have a pretty good assortment of cupcakes on display. Only downfall is that the frosting is too sweet and the cupcakes can be a little on dry side. Otherwise, I would come back again. read more

I really like this location for sugarlips! Very cute and compfy:) Cupcakes are super delicious! Happy hour Wednesday 4pm-5pm & Saturday from 1pm-2pm..... $1. WHAT??? That's right just a buck, and this is ALL the cupcakes, not just a select few. Thumbs up! read more

Hands down the best bakery in AZ. Delicious cupcakes and other goodies fresh in the case everyday, and totally amazing custom cakes that look like they came right off Food Network! I love seeing what seasonal and holiday flavors they have in the bakery case each week-the best time to try them is cupcake Happy Hour, when you can get them for just $1.50 each. Definitely give them a try! read more

I ordered a cake for my friend's retirement party. I sent a few photos in email & gave a brief description of what I'd like to see. We got the cake today & it was perfect! it looked wonderful and tasted great! Thank you so much. I would love to add a photo, but can't figure out how to do it read more

My wife and I ordered a cake for our son's first birthday from them, we had to cancel the order and they still charged us 15% for doing nothing. If I was told about the potential change upon ordering I would have waited to pay at pickup. Needless to say, after complaining all I got was a "sorry the policy is on our website". I didn't order the cake from the website I ordered in in person, I told them. The policy was not disclosed to me at the time of ordering and pre-paying. "Sorry" was all I got in return. At the least don't prepay for your cake, better yet, do business with someone else. read more

Really really impressed by both the super helpful service and the amazing quality of the cake! I ordered a cake to be delivered to my husband (who is a pilot) for his birthday as I was not in the country, and they were incredible helpful and the end result was beautiful and delicious! read more

This bakery is the absolute best!!!! They are so dedicated to making your order just the way you want. I value their attention to detail and their customer service in addition to their incredible cakes! Every flavor is spectacular and the cake itself is the perfect texture of moist and fluff! Along with the cake, is the absolute best buttercream frosting! Smooth, creamy and never too heavy! We have purchased our wedding cake, birthday cakes, and special holiday cakes here for the last 11 years as well as countless cupcakes! They are the best and I will always recommend them to any and everyone! read more

Wow. I love this place. These wonderful women made me the most beautiful and tasty wedding cake in the entire world. 100% from start to finish. We love you and if it was acceptable to buy wedding cakes once a year I would but I'll stack to the other tasty treats they make. Much love, they're the best. read more

Great place for unique cakes and cupcakes!! There is a large variety for every taste. Adorable shop too!

Went in for cupcakes today and I was not very impressed. Honestly my wife and daughter make better tasting cupcakes at home, with a box of cake mix from Walmart. The staff was friendly enough, but we will not be back for cupcakes. read more

Amazing service great cupcakes and cakes went here to order custom cakes and everything was perfect

In AZ for Spring Training and as a self proclaimed cupcake aficionado, had to stop by and try these beautiful little treats. Lovely decor and ambiance, great display with beautifully decorated cupcakes in an ample variety of flavors. Took home 4 flavors: pineapple coconut, pink champagne, salted caramel and raspberry lemon. Cakes were all moist with just the right amount of tasty frosting.. Only criticism is the frosting on the salted caramel was a bit grainy and lacked that salt flavor to cut the overwhelming sweetness of the caramel. Definitely worth a visit! read more

We bought a dozen assorted cupcakes for a birthday party. They were the hit of the evening. Everyone loved the one they chose. It was fun trying the different cupcakes. They are so pretty. This was a party for someone turning 30 years old. Great treat, good portion size and the whole dozen were gone by the end of the evening. We will buy there for future family events read more

I LOVE chocolate and had to get the triple chocolate cupcake this weekend. It was DELICIOUS! Will definitely be back.

Absolutely loved their service and goods. I've been skeptical over finding a good bakery, my 4 year old needed a birthday cake for her 5th bday party... last minute. I was able to place an order on a thursday, and have it ready that following Wednesday (definitely give more notice though, I felt terrible requesting a custom order with such limited time!) My daughter was able to create the cake with the team member (I'm so sorry, I forgot her name) and come up with the cutest unicorn cake! 3 layer Strawberry with vanilla filling... delicious. Moist. Excellent service. I also reccomend the white chocolate cranberry cupcake! We couldn't leave without buying more! we will be back for future birthdays, events and our wedding we are planning! (I promise to give way advance notice this time haha) read more

Happened upon this place on my way out of the plaza after having lunch. Just so happened to be their happy hour cupcake sale. YUMMY. I picked up 6 cupcakes - 2 pink champagne, 2 triple chocolate, 1 sprinkles & 1 vanilla. I will definitely be back...more than likely for the HH deal (I'm a frugal gal!). If I need a specialty cake, I'll definitely hit them up. read more

Sugarlips did a phenomenal job with my son's Daniel Tiger themed birthday cake. I didn't have a clue as to how I wanted it to look.... Just how much I wanted to spend. They went ABOVE AND BEYOND my expectations and gave excellent service. The cake was delicious and they even threw in a free smash cake for the baby! Highly recommended! read more

This was the 2nd time I ordered a cake from this bakery and they did not disappoint. My son's birthday and smash cake were amazing. They exceeded my expectations. It was exactly what I wanted and tasted amazing! I would also like to note that I did not want fondant. I got a quote from another bakery who not only told me it could not be done in buttercream and was $70 more than what I paid with Sugarlips. read more

We had a wonderful experience with Sugarlips Cakery from the beginning of our order to the delivery of my daughter's wedding cake. We had a specific design in mind which Melodie and her team were able to bring to life. It couldn't have turned out better. The only negative that may have made our experience a little awkward is that the cake may have upstaged everyone else in the wedding party. Lol. read more

I have had single cupcakes before from this company and also had cake from two baby showers.. they were very good. I am getting married so I thought what better of a place than one I know is good. So I set up a cake tasting ($25 for the tasting) my fiancé and I show up for the appointment 5 mins early. They seat us in the back and bring out 3 cupcakes cut in half with three scoops of the mousse we pick. They said okay she will be right with you. So we sat there and waited for over 10 mins no one came out so we started to taste them. All were so dry they just crumbled. The only thing that was somewhat good was one of the mousse. So already we were kind of disappointed. It was like they had been sitting out or cut and placed in a fridge the night before and then taken out to sit. So we got done trying them and still no one came out. So we got up to leave we had another appointment. I told the lady upfront no one came out and she said oh but you were early (it had been 15 mins at this point so 20 in all after my appointment time) She was like well I can tell someone to come out. I continued to tell her that we had another appointment to be at and she said "ummmmmmm okay" and walked away. So we left I called later that day to speak to a manager they said she was busy and would give me a call back. Waited a week never heard anything so I called back, same thing. So I wouldn't recommend this place. Not very customer friendly and didn't represent themselves well for the tasting that cost 25 bucks for 3 cupcakes... read more
