I have always loved Sugarlips cupcakes, and even used them for my wedding and numerous bridal and baby showers. But today I went in, waited an hour in line for happy hour, and was #2. The guy who was #1 bought every cupcake in the case, and was super rude about it. Children behind me were crying, and everyone was so disappointed. I understand the owners want to sell everything and make money, so they don't make a limit on how many you can buy, but come on. This customer knew he was buying all of them, and was laughing at those who were waiting. Can't they just make the limit like 3 dozen, and then have them get another number, so they can wait and get more but everyone has a chance to get some? This guy bought 108 cupcakes. My wife and I ordered a cake for our son's first birthday from them, we had to cancel the order and they still charged us 15% for doing nothing. If I was told about the potential change upon ordering I would have waited to pay at pickup. Needless to say, after complaining all I got was a "sorry the policy is on our website". I didn't order the cake from the website I ordered in in person, I told them. The policy was not disclosed to me at the time of ordering and pre-paying. "Sorry" was all I got in return. At the least don't prepay for your cake, better yet, do business with someone else. read more

We found this place for our wedding (after I said yes to the dress at the bridal shop next door) and we were so pleased with the tasting, I ordered a birthday cake for my fiancé. He loves Dinosaurs so I told them to just make it "look good" over the phone and they nailed it. I appreciate that they asked if I wanted a realistic Dino or cartoonish. They blew me away with the decoration, the detail was amazing. It blew people away and the taste did too! Normally cakes that look this good don't taste great, not the case here! Absolutely loved their service and goods. I've been skeptical over finding a good bakery, my 4 year old needed a birthday cake for her 5th bday party... last minute. I was able to place an order on a thursday, and have it ready that following Wednesday (definitely give more notice though, I felt terrible requesting a custom order with such limited time!) My daughter was able to create the cake with the team member (I'm so sorry, I forgot her name) and come up with the cutest unicorn cake! 3 layer Strawberry with vanilla filling... delicious. Moist. Lovely decor and ambiance, great display with beautifully decorated cupcakes in an ample variety of flavors. Took home 4 flavors: pineapple coconut, pink champagne, salted caramel and raspberry lemon. Cakes were all moist with just the right amount of tasty frosting.. Only criticism is the frosting on the salted caramel was a bit grainy and lacked that salt flavor to cut the overwhelming sweetness of the caramel. Definitely worth a visit! read more

I have had single cupcakes before from this company and also had cake from two baby showers.. they were very good. I am getting married so I thought what better of a place than one I know is good. So I set up a cake tasting ($25 for the tasting) my fiancé and I show up for the appointment 5 mins early. They seat us in the back and bring out 3 cupcakes cut in half with three scoops of the mousse we pick. They said okay she will be right with you. So we sat there and waited for over 10 mins no one came out so we started to taste them. All were so dry they just crumbled. The only thing that was somewhat good was one of the mousse. So already we were kind of disappointed. It was like they had been sitting out or cut and placed in a fridge the night before and then taken out to sit. So we got done trying them and still no one came out. So we got up to leave we had another appointment. I told the lady upfront no one came out and she said oh but you were early (it had been 15 mins at this point so 20 in all after my appointment time) She was like well I can tell someone to come out. I continued to tell her that we had another appointment to be at and she said "ummmmmmm okay" and walked away. So we left I called later that day to speak to a manager they said she was busy and would give me a call back. Waited a week never heard anything so I called back, same thing.
