Stopped by the shop for the first time. I bought 2 slices of pie on the day before Thanksgiving. A cherry and a pumpkin one. I heated my cherry pie and put cool whip on top..so very disappointed I bite into a seed or pit. I called the girl just said sorry to offer a reason or a refund, she said oh just stop another time and I could order another. Very expensive for this too happen. read more

Amazing pies. Lovely shopkeeper. Beautiful, retro decor. I'm not so much a fan of the barbecue next door, but this place was almost enough to make up for it. The Mississippi mud pie is heaven on a plate. My boyfriend and I devoured the slice we were sharing in short order. I honestly wish we would have bought a whole pie - it was so rich and good. I'll be back. It'd be a nice place to stop buy for special occasions. If only they had a location in the city! read more

I'm mad at myself for ordering a whole Sugarfire Pie before looking at the price. I never would have guessed anyone would or could charge $28 for a pie and still make eye contact, but here we are. Don't get me wrong, the pie is good. There's a reason I went there in the first place, but for $28, it better knock my socks off, and it just didn't. I mean, it's hard enough for me to imagine paying that much for TWO pies, much less one. Now that I know, it will never happen again. I'll just make my own from now on or just buy by the slice. read more

The prices are high, but the pies are good. You get what you pay for, most of the time (Have eaten pies from here 3 times). Mississippi Mud Pie is my favorite, and they also make a mean Key Lime pie. I would encourage everyone to stop in and try for themselves, beauty is very much in the pie of the beholder. read more

If you have dinner next door at Sugarfire you have to pop in next door for dessert funky fun atmosphere. Friendly staff and great dessert. We had the Key Lime Pie which was so good. As good as what you might get in Florida. Also enjoyed the cobbler and Oreo pudding. It won't disappoint. read more

Sugarfire Pie - Next time I will have to try the smoked chocolate chip cookies. - Ice Cream & Frozen Yogurt Near Me - Olivette, Missouri

Wowza! 1st, how convenient to grab some sweets after a yummy bbq meal?! 2nd, the retro atmosphere was right up our alley! Finally, the sweet confections were all so delicious it was hard to choose. I had the hand dipped cinnamon ice cream & a slice of Sugarfire pie. I took my husband home a slice of the apple crumb and a "whoopie pie". I helped him eat it! read more

The best whoopie pie I've had! Smells delish and all lies looks amazing! Very cute place to hang out also.

Really good desserts. They have a great selection to choose from and I've never had a bad experience.

DELICIOUS! It is a little more than I would normally spend on pie, but totally worth it. I had the classic cherry pie and the slice was big enough for me to split and eat over two days. They had a nice variety of pies available when I went in. They also sell whole pies too. read more

Sugarfire Pie - Cherry pie was delicious! (Can't remember the flavor of the chocolate one). - Ice Cream & Frozen Yogurt Near Me - Olivette, Missouri

This is the greatest place to get desserts in the entire Midwest. The pastry chef is super awesome and friendly. I don't know her name but she has awesome hair. The cookies are so fantastic. I'd recommend getting a pie shake since it's the only place I know of in the world that puts an entire piece of pie in a shake. Seriously, awesome staff and fantastic desserts. read more

The pie was exceptional. The Sugar Fire pie just melts in your mouth. The coconut cream pie has a beautiful coconut taste without an over sugared taste. The portions were big. I shared with my cousin. read more

Sugarfire Pie has a really cool atmosphere, it's fun place to stop for dessert. We ordered the cherry pie with crumb topping and the gooey butter slab. The cherry pie crust was delicious. The cherry pie filling was different for us, truly just cherries, not much "slurry", the sugary delicious gel that typically mingles with the cherries themselves. Different, not bad, good. The gooey butter slab was eh. The primary taste to it was flour. The serving sizes were good. Our friend got the cinnamon icecream and loved it. When we go back I want to try the salted caramel ice cream and my other half wants the strawberry bread pudding. Service was friendly and efficient. read more

We stopped by for dessert and ordered a slice of cherry and a blueberry handpie with ice cream. The crust is perfect! They had a great variety and I will definitely try the "pake" next time! read more

This place is a an add on to the sugar fire barbecue experience located just 2 suites down. I was expecting a little bit more when I walked in. The suite is highly decorated and that's cool but they were extremely limited on their desserts. Can't say I look forward to going back and having dessert. Hopefully they'll up their game. read more

Pies taste great, customer service; very low. So, my grandma went in that morning and got a pie in a clear plastic to-go pie container. I go to get the same pie in the evening and i get this big ugly boxed up pie. I have to open myself to see it. 64 dollars later and still no smile or thank you or gratitude. I picked up my pride, i mean boxes, never to return. I am african amercian my grandmother is white. Ask for the clear container pies : if you dont pie may be a day ;old and frozen. read more

If you love pie, yes, yes you should drive from anywhere to get it here! The slices are huge and delicious. They offer ice cream, shakes... you can buy whole pies too. After you finish with dessert you can head next door to Sugarfire BBQ for your main course! Yes, the BBQ is amazing too! read more

It was our first visit yesterday and we were so disappointed. There were only four options and the two we chose we not good. Also asked for sugar and cream for coffee. With a little attitude a was handed a cup of sugar from the back and was told no cream. We will not go back. read more

This was my third visit to Sugarfire Pie since they opened. I was really excited to be in the Olivette area so I can stop by when I visit the Sugarfire BBQ location next door. I started by getting lunch and bypassed the pies they had in store in favor of going next door for dessert. I expected all the creative pies I saw the previous two times I was in such as stacked pies or inventive flavors. The pies they had in store were nothing spectacular and the only creative flavor was bacon cheddar which I don't eat pork. The place was empty and the girl at the counter was less than enthusiastic to see me. She just stared at me while I contemplated what to get offering no pleasantries or suggestions. I got the Sugarfire Pie which was buttery and flaky pretty delicious. Not sure it warrants the $5 price tag however. Next time I will likely just grab a slice at the BBQ side and skip the pie shop altogether. read more

We live close by and stop in occasionally for our sugar fix. Always good service, especially compared to their next door counterpart, and the pies are amazing. I normally get the Mississippi Mud, but the Pecan Pie and Gooey Butter are super delish too. read more

This place is way overpriced! I really enjoy sugarfire barbecue, so I thought the pie place would be awesome. I was so wrong. I paid over eight dollars for one piece of cake that had pie inside of it. I was shocked to see how tiny the slice was! My husband ordered The sugarfire pie and it was tiny as well. Mine was dry and my husband's was bland. We left feeling ripped off that we spent over $15 on two very tiny pieces of not so good pie. read more

Ordered the praline bread pudding to-go on my first (and probably, final) visit here. Staff/Service: I was nervous about the long disheveled and mostly unrestrained hair of the gals behind the counter (who handled and served the desserts), but they were friendly, used gloves, and managed to keep their hair out of my dessert. Ambience: I really liked the retro theme they had going in the decorations and enjoyed seeing the floor model tv. Price: I'm not used to paying $7.90 for dessert, but the bread pudding was, in my estimation, the size of 5 servings. I would have been happy to pay $4 for 1/3 of it. Product: The bread pudding was huge, heavy as a brick and appeared to be 1 part bread and 3 parts butter. I didn't care for how doughy the dessert was so I baked it for awhile in the oven at home-still very gooey and not really to my liking. It tasted so much like butter that it kind of felt like eating very heavy, undercooked, doughy garlic bread sprinkled with sugar and pralines. The Bourbon in the sauce helped me get more of it down but the whole thing oozed with butter which made my stomach frown. I liken the experience to my last visit to Six Flags--when it was over I was dizzy and felt like I could possibly hurl. I ended up throwing 1/3 of it away. I guess I'll have to add Sugarfire Pie to my list of things I'm too old to handle. (I'm only 34, BTW). read more

$28 for a pecan pie? It better be the best damn pie I ever had. And it wasn't. It was fine. But even at $8 for the pie I'd only give it three stars. It was unfortunately nothing special. And at that price I won't be trying again. read more

Great deserts. Can't go wrong with any of them but I recommend the pake. Staff was friendly and selection of deserts was better than I expected. read more

This is the best BBQ I've had in a long time. The atmosphere is authentic and fun. There's outdoor seating which is enjoyable.

Had to a stop by after getting barbecue next store. These pies are delicious, the staff was very friendly and welcoming. The apple pie was delicious and love the thing sliced apples and ten crumb topping, my new favorite. Can't wait to come back and have this again . read more

We came here for some dessert after eating at the Sugarfire Smokehouse next door. I had a slice of the Sugarfire pie. It was good, but a bit TOO sweet. Although, I can see how someone with a real sweet tooth would love it. Might try the key lime pie next time. The employees were very nice and helpful and the place was cute. Would recommend. read more

I love Sugarfire BBQ, but Sugarfire Pie is a bit overpriced for what you get. The pies are good, but nothing spectacular. I've had both the Cherry & Mississippi Mud. The latter tastes just like a brownie. $30 for a whole pie is just way too steep. I've had cheaper and better pies from diners or farmer's markets. My favorite thing about this place is the decor. The staff isn't that friendly either. It's okay to smile, guys! I probably won't be back. read more

What can I say? A restaurant with all pie (and some other treats): what's not to love? I only wish my stomach were bigger.

I wanted to try the chocolate pecan cake since saw photos from other reviews. It is a cool concept but $6.00 for a piece seems just a tad high. The cake was very dry and tasted like it was a day old although the girl told me everything is baked fresh daily. It looks really good but was very dry and was the opinion of all three that tried it. read more

Oh my Lord, I just ate at sugar fire for the first time. I'm in a sugar coma . I had a slice of Mississippi mud pie ,it was great.

This place rocks, Best pies I have had in several years. Every time I come down to STL from chicago I stop here. No matter how many times I eat their pies they keep getting better and better. Key lime and their sugar fire pie are my top ones. read more

Have tried the pie slices twice now and crust still not cooked. You cant produce pie and not understand how it has to be cooked.

It was absolutely amazing. Hands down BEST BBQ in StL. The Wacha Burger was intense. Peppered Bacon, Smoked Brisket, burger patty came together so well. Friendly staff, fast service. read more

Hate to say it but just so underwhelming. Good prices but everything we got was dry and lacking flavor. Red velvet whoopie was so dry and no flavor but the icing, the homemade pop tart was dry and not much filling in it, and the dolly pie thing was just gross. Like a slab of candy slammed into a bowl and and called a pie. read more

Without doubt one of the best barbecue I've had. Only wish that it was more friendly to a first time visitor. I felt a little lost.

Purchased half a pecan pie today (6/13/15) This pathetic half pie deserves, at the most, only a half star. $28.00 per whole pie is a joke. I'm from the South and know how a pecan pie should taste - this was nothing close, In fact, their pies are a rip off. Save your money; perhaps an Aldi's frozen pie would be more tastier. Obviously they have convinced St. Louisans that their barbecue is premier and its ok and just that ok but don't fall for their pie scam too. read more

Can't believe the reviews are so low. I have had pies all over STL, and Sugarfire Pie has the best in the city, IMO. Their oatmeal cream pie is THE BEST EVER!!!! I've had them at Pint Size, Pie Oh My, and several other places, and Sugarfire has these on LOCK! I can't visit without leaving with both oatmeal cream pie and a hand pie. Hand pies are soooo delicious: they had strawberry/blueberry one recently that was just the bomb!!! Pie-wise, I like the pecan pie and their fruit pies, but the sugarfire pie is the best!!! Still need to check out the key lime pie... Also, their gooey butter slabs are delicious as well. Can't go wrong, really. I have yet to try the custard. I get what they're going for here, pie and ice cream, but I just can't see a time when I'd want the custard. Just gimme all the pie!!! read more

I got the key lime pie. Very small and slim slice. The pie was good but overpriced for what you get. I probably won't be back for more.

The pies are really yummy here. Unfortunately, we arrived later in the day and they didn't have many left. We tried the mud pie, Sugarfire pie, and key lime pies - the Sugarfire pie was our favorite. All of them were dense and rich, and worth the price. I wish they had more variety, but what we had was good. read more
