Just had my first airbrush tan EVER at Bronzed. I'm going on vacation soon and wanted to test-drive a tan, so I'm not the most pale person on the beach. I also didn't want to use a tanning bed, and thought that an airbrush tan would be a great, non-cancer-causing alternative. I saw Bronzed's great reviews on Yelp (and the 2 for 1 tan was a bonus), so I decided to give them a try. It was an awesome experience! The front desk staff was very friendly and answered all of my newbie questions, explained my tanning options, and I was brought back to tan on time. I chose the express tan (being able to shower within a few hours of being tanned is definitely worth the $10 extra; I felt a little sticky afterwards). The room was very clean and there were disposable sandals and thongs to use during the tanning process. The girl who tanned me (sorry, she told me her name twice, but I'm terrible with names) was great. She didn't make my non-model-looking self feel uncomfortable to be mostly naked during my tan and was very professional. The whole process took about 20 minutes and I was on my way home. Checkout was simple and easy, and I love that Bronzed offers online appointment scheduling, so I could easily schedule my next visit. I went here and was turned away because I let the front staff know I work at urgent care and see patients due to covid and was told I need to be tested or have a negative test since my job doesn't require full PPE for receptionist. I was a little nervous of turning out orange as my previous spray tans from other businesses have done so. My roommate suggested I go to Bronzed before my trip to Nashville. I went, was greeted right away, and was taken to get my tan right away. My sprayer was very nice and made me feel fine/comfortable while being sprayed. My tan came out great, I got the medium color as I am Italian and typically get dark in the summer. My only criticism would be that the spray rooms were a bit dark. Also, it was hard to dry with the hose provided at the end. I wish there was another type of fan etc. to help with the drying process. Make sure you go home immediately after -- you will be sticky and do not want to sweat at all. I showered the next morning and I felt much better. The tan came out great and was even all over. Overall though, good experience! I will be back next time I need a tan. read more

The entire sugaring process was well explained by my sugarista (esthetician) and I found it to be less painful than a traditional wax. I have only been tanning one other time so I really didn't know what to expect. Well I was pleasantly surprised. This place was amazing and she took her time to make sure everything was perfect. It could be super awkward while getting sprayed but she made me feel so comfortable. And the results are amazing. I got my 1st spray tan ever at sugared + bronzed for a wedding I was in at the end of April! I absolutely loved it and am trying to come up with an excuse to get another one! I went here for my first time getting sugared and I'm not going to lie, it hurt 10x LESS than hard wax. I had initially went to my first hard wax appointment a year ago which was excruciating. My first time coming back and getting sugared was so much more pleasant. I definitely recommend sugaring, it's less painful (still not as comfy the first time round but gets better I promise) and definitely quicker. Kasia was amazing and certainly made sure that she kept talking to me through out the entire sugaring process so I was distracted which helped SO much. I have gotten both spray tanning and sugaring services at S&B and have been so impressed every time with the friendliness and helpfulness of the front desk staff and every technician, and really pleased with the results of every service! I have done both the standard and express bronzing and both worked extremely well through sweat, salt water, sleep and chlorine. The staff are helpful when you're deciding what shade to go with for a particular event. As for sugaring, definitely recommend it over hot waxing! I never received a Brazilian before and after a day of research I sugar and bronzed . I was super nervous about the though of hot wax waxing down there so I thought that sugar, water and lemon couldn't hurt that bad and I was right! Of course since I never got a Brazilian done, the first one hurt, but I just left my third appointment and couldn't be happier. They make you so comfortable and make it so easier to carry a conversation. I signed up for the monthly membership and it's 39 a month. Tried S + B for the first time back in November for sugaring and I'm totally hooked! I work in the city and the hours at S + B always allow for me to pop in before or after work, their time slot options are great and they're super flexible if you need to reschedule. The entire staff is so sweet and very welcoming from the second you walk through the door. I've been sugared by two different people so far and they both were amazing; made me really comfortable, explained the process, and kept me distracted with a good conversation during my sugaring! The staff here makes sugaring as painless as possible (yes it hurts sometimes, beauty is pain they say lol). If it's your first time waxing/sugaring expect to be in some discomfort during the process! For those who are used to waxing you MUST try sugaring! It's quicker, it's cleaner, and all natural. I also found it was less painful than waxing. Now it's still hair removal so there is some pain involved. The staff was extremely friendly and the price is very reasonable. Mindy did my sugaring and was great! I came in for a wax and was shocked at how great this place was. There was no hot wax, no strips, and no sticks. They use a combination of melted sugar, lemon, and water to take the hair off your skin, but not leave and burns or scars. My technician's name was Mindy and she took great care of me. Shaina has done my spray tan every time I have went, and she is a total sweetheart and always make me feel so extremely comfortable. I had a terrible experience. The people at the front desk are young and not friendly. I have never been sugared before and they did not ask my if I have been here, ask me if I have been sugared. They were to busy gossiping among themselves. I went into the room and got undressed and the lady came in to sugar me. Not knowing what I was in for she began and I was shocked I was not warned. I got less than 1/4 done and needed to leave. There was no preparatory explanation of the procedure to me. I would not recommend if you have not done it before. read more

I've been to this salon about 3 times now and have always had a great experience! About 2 weeks ago, I came in for a bikini and underarm sugar and spray tan. First of all, the prices are SO reasonable for center city. The girls who work here are great and make you feel comfortable the whole time. I had a situation where it was raining the night of my spray tan and when I got home I noticed rain drops on my arm. PRO TIP- you can text the salon to ask any questions you have after your service! I texted them pics of my arm and they were texting me after hours to let me know what they recommend doing. (Side note, my arm looked totally fine!) Also, I'm going on week 2 and my bikini sugaring still is just about perfect with very little hair growth, and I got many compliments on my tan! I'm not going to lie I was somewhat nervous about coming here. I've been getting Brazilian sugared for quite some time now and couldn't find many places in the area that specialized in it. I was also concerned about their experience given the split tanning services. Long story short and a little TMI. They did a great job and got everything, didn't miss a spot! It was a good experience, definitely a lot more spa like compared to other places I've been to which I really enjoyed and the price, you can't beat it! I'm used to the pain so that didn't bother me too much but the wax could be slightly hotter for ease. Also to note they do sugaring the right way by using a ball instead of strips, this part is very important. I'm definitely going back. Would love to see them expand into other cities. read more
