This place was recommended to me by a friend that I know is particular about service so I didn't have any reservations when booking but I did still look at reviews and was pleased to see that others also had positive experiences. I browsed the website, which was easy to navigate and then made an appointment online. Also, I was excited to see that one of the service offerings was for 2 of the services that are my usual (underarms and Brazilian). I was able to get an appointment scheduled for the next day. When I arrived, I was greeted by the owner who was pleasant and very down to earth. She escorted me to the room where my services were rendered. We chatted while the services were happening and music played softly in the background so everything seemed to go fast... Hard wax is used, which is what works best for me. Note to all - be sure to read the tips on the website to ensure that you prepare accordingly for your appointment (especially for those new to waxing or not seasoned at getting waxed) and heed the follow up text messages for after care. I came in for a wax before Thanksgiving. It was my first time, but I'd been recommended this place a year prior by an uber driver. I had the absolute best time, everyone was warm, I felt like I was around my good folks, the vibes were great. Only one person in at the time, but everything flowed beautifully. I scheduled my wax the night before with Tyisha, the owner. The receptionist was very welcoming and friendly. The studio itself was cute and cozy. I did not wait long to be called in. Just had my first bikini wax with Ashley and it went so well! She was extremely friendly and very attentive. She took the time to explain what she was doing and chatted with me the whole time to keep me relaxed. Their online reservation platform was very easy to use and they had a touch-less checkout process using my card on file. So happy they're so close to me in S. Philly. I absolutely love Noire Salon! Aside from being beautiful and serene, the services are top notch! I had my eyebrows waxed and my hair braided and loved every second! Tyisha, the owner, is so charismatic, a great listener and this is the first time in life, that my brow waxing was painless!!! She apparently uses a hard wax so your skin isn't pulled off! I've been getting my brows done here for two and half years. Never late for an appointment. After unexpectedly spending a night in the hospital I called to reschedule my appointment. The receptionist says I can't reschedule - I'll have to pay another deposit. Then she said she'll call me back and never did. This really put me off and I'll be looking for a new brow place. Good customer service can make or break a business, and I'd rather spend an extra $5/10 somewhere else who values customers and understands extreme circumstances. read more

Noire provides an inviting atmosphere and exceptional service. I followed my waxer, Alyssa to Noire because she's great at what she does, is understanding, and very warm (always has great conversations). I was pleasantly satisfied after my first visit waxing services are great-- the wax that is used is a type of honey wax that is so smooth on the skin. Your skin won't feel like it's burning or irritated. This is much different than other experience I've had at other waxing salons. Alyssa is great with informing you why this wax feels so much more tolerable than others as well. Also, as soon as you walk in, you're offered a glass of wine. Great perk.
