The airbrush artists at Sugared + Bronzed are all very nice and make you feel comfortable while getting spray tanned. Love that the solution is organic! The management is also wonderfully helpful and environmentally friendly, encouraging you not to use the disposable items unless you really need to, so I brought my own shower cap. Excellent. I've been avoiding waxing since my last traumatic af experience nearly 8 years ago and was really ready for some horror pain when I showed up to S+B today. Jenny did an amazing job on me, and I cannot stress the difference in sugaring vs waxing, I believe largely due to the fact that the sugar focuses and grips to the hair, rather than skin, reducing the pain dramatically. I've been getting waxed down the street for years, with no real complaints. But the 2/$49 new client offer caught my eye when this new 3rd Street location opened along my route to Bar Method and AuraCycle. I'll admit, this seems a touch more painful than waxing (by a tiny margin!), but the results are just so much better. It takes significantly longer for regrowth of my hair to begin after sugaring. I dont see the ingrowns I would suffer from in the past. Love it! Plan on being a repeat customer. It's closer to home, cheaper than waxing, and staffed by really friendly people. I recently moved to the LA area and was super hesitant about going to a new spot for my brazilian - I had been going to the same person for years back on the east coast. I happened to walk by Sugared + Bronzed one day and saw that they had a two for one deal for new customers and decided to give them a try, and I am glad I did! I had never tried sugaring until now, and I regret that I hadn't done this sooner - it's SO much better than waxing! No ingrown hairs, less pain, and my skin feels so smooth after. The salon and ladies working there are wonderful as well. The rooms are very clean and inviting and the ladies are extremely friendly and made me feel comfortable from the second I walked in. I really like this location. I came in for a wax and spray tan since the last time I got either was pre-covid. Everything was clean and the employees were so nice and helpful and accommodating. I got my wax and spray tan in less than 30 minutes. I took a shower after 24 hours and my tan looks amazing! I would definitely highly recommend this place. read more

I have been getting sugared for a few months now and after scheduling appointments all over Los Angeles (and Orange County!), I can honestly say that this is my favorite location in LA. Parking is easy with the lot behind the salon despite the fact that it is a highly trafficked area. Not to mention that they validate for the first hour and a half when appointments are usually only 20-40 mins! In terms of sugaring, I have had great experiences with all of the sugaristas here. They are easy to talk to and for the most part extremely meticulous, which I appreciate. I will never go back to waxing after discovering sugaring. Yes, the first time definitely hurts but it gets a lot easier after that. You just have to make sure you go consistently (and don't shave in between, which will undo the work you've done!). If your pain tolerance isn't really high I recommend taking ibuprofen at least 20 mins before your appointment. It definitely helps me through my appointments! All in all, I'm a sugaring convert and Sugared + Bronzed is my salon of choice. The girls do great work, prices are reasonable (especially with the membership which is awesome), and the salons themselves have been impeccably designed. What more could you ask for? read more

It was 9pm Thursday before Memorial Day when I had the brilliant idea to get a fake tan for the holiday weekend. After some frantic online research, I realized no salon would be able to accommodate me before leaving for a trip the next day. (Procrastinator tip: These places book up *weeks* in advance of major holidays and festivals. Plan accordingly.) Then a miracle happened. I texted Sugared + Bronzed the next morning and they agreed to squeeze me in! Even though it was their soft opening and they were fully booked, I walked in at 11am and left 20 mins later with an awesome tan by Slo. My experience at the 3rd St location was great! Surprised at how pain free and quick the process is. The sugar paste that's used is not hot, sticky, or heavy like wax.
