I highly recommend going to Nathalie as an injector. She held my hand through the process of getting lip filler, which I am admittedly a huge weenie about, and made me feel so much more comfortable. She did such an incredible job with my lips and gave me the hydrated and subtly juicy pout I was looking for. She also did my botox injections, and what really made me trust her is that she suggested I do a lower unit count than I'dpreviously had at this location, because I didn't like the results last time of being too frozen. Honestly I came here for the first time to try botox and was a little disappointed with my experience -- it felt very impersonal. I came because I saw there was a free 20 unit promotion. When I got here it honestly felt like people were just shuffled through. I think my injector also over injected me. My forehead felt so heavy and frozen but not in a good way. I could have used less units and better placement. It was placed too low on my forehead. A good injector makes a big difference on experience and result. I've been to other places like Raw Beauty Aesthetics in Woodland Hills and my experience there was so different. They're personal and they don't try to oversell you. On November 11, 2021 I went here for micro treatment of cheek filler and some Botox. She (the nurse practitioner) wanted to use 2 ccs of Volumna in my cheeks. I declined because I only wanted a micro treatment. She said she would create symmetry by putting a little more on my left cheek. Well, now I have a lopsided face. One side has significantly more volume than the other side. When I called , they said it will cost 900$ to fix. Also, they will not return the 100$ they took from my checking account for my membership. I am a teacher and I have spent my hard earned money on THIS? I am disgusted by their practices and do not recommend this place. Go elsewhere. I'm canceling my membership now before they cause me more anxiety. read more

I saw their ad on an Instagram post and had to learn more. I went in (7/16/2020) to get a complimentary consultation. I was greeted warmly and my temperature was taken with a touchless thermometer and I was asked to sanitize. The interior of Alchemy 43 is clean and aesthetically pleasing. I was at the 3rd Street location. There is plenty of metered parking in the front and free tandem parking in the back of the building. Ally handled my consultation. She was extremely knowledgeable and answered all my questions thoroughly. I did not feel rushed or pressured at all. This was my first time inquiring about injectables. Anyone who is injecting is either a Physician's Assistant, Nurse Practitioner, or a Registered Nurse. There was no hard sell or any type of pressure whatsoever. Bonus! There is a membership you can join and it is $99 a month - and your money goes into an Alchemy 43 "bank" so it's not such an expense to get your injectables. Along with saving your money for you to use whenever you would like, you also save 15% on your service and get a complimentary filler on your anniversary! Both times, Nurse Su did my procedure, and let me just say... Su is AMAZING! She does such a great job, and both times I've walked out feeling incredible. I've been to this location a few times and each time the staff is so friendly, the space is clean, warm and inviting. The reason for my rating is the pricing and quality of work. I've gotten both Botox and filler here and here is my experience with each. Botox: They like to "areas" of your face here and will tell you why you need the whole area. Example being if I just wanted my forehead they will tell me I need my crows feet too. I understand the way Botox works and that if you don't treat certain areas it's pointless to treat others, but I'm in my 20's and the crows feet are non existent. This happened each time I would go here. They would recommend a ridiculous amount of units that were totally unnecessary. They double the amount I get going to injectors at plastic surgeons office and I think it's just so they can make more $$. I noticed no matter what I would go in to get I would always be quoted over $700, and I think it's because I spent that my first time there, and so they thought I would be willing to spend that each time. They injected so much Botox into the center of my forehead it was truly not needed. I know those muscles are strong but again, double what any other injector would do. When I would ask for less I was made to feel like they couldn't really customize my treatment and they kept saying "this is what's standard". I was kinda made to feel like I was uneducated or being cheap but after discussing with a different injector and reading the other reviews it seems like this is common. Filler: I got my lips filled here and the injector was kind and seemed very knowledgeable. My injection went smoothly and I was instructed not to touch my lips and just ice them. A few days after I noticed my lips were getting hard and the filler was creating little hard balls in my lips. I brought this up at my follow up and they said this is not normal and you should have been massaging them. I told them I was instructed not to and she said each injector will tell you something different but you really need to make sure you massage them because it's not normal that they're hard. My lips were hard for months and I can still feel a few of the little balls in my lips (4 months later). My filler has already started to migrate on my lower left side, as I've noticed the skin underneath my lip is raised. So on one side it's hard, on one side it migrated. These are things that are most likely only noticeable to me, but when you're paying this much for an aesthetic treatment, you want good results! I've had a friend come here and she didn't have any issues with her filler so it can just vary person to person. Everyone is different and your body will react differently. I would just like consistent aftercare instructions from all injectors so I'm not made to feel like I should have done something differently. Please keep in mind this review only applies to filler and Botox as I did not receive any other treatments here. read more

Let me start with the good: everyone I've dealt with here has been friendly and it's always super clean. I've been coming here for about 4 years, since I moved to LA. I had only ever had Botox once before so I didn't have much to compare it to. I would best describe this place as the Starbucks of injectables. There is a sense of safety and a certain standard of care because it's a chain. If I'm in some fly over town and want coffee I'll look for a Starbucks. But if I'm in a city, there are definitely local coffee shops with much better quality products and knowledgeable service. So this place is fine but since I've started trying other places (I'll get to why I started branching out in a moment...) for Botox I've realized there are much better places (I mean we are in LA) and surprisingly they are often cheaper. I'm not talking "Medispa" in a strip mall with a group on here... I'm talking about the offices plastic surgeons... offer Botox at $1-2 less per unit! So why I stopped going here is because of how they changed the pricing structure. Before you used to be able to more or less pay per unit which is what seems to be the industry norm. For example I have been getting "lip flips" for years which is 4 units i.e. $52 if they are still charging $13 per unit. The last time I went in I notice a sign that said "try a lip flip $120"... I asked about it assuming this was some sort of insane 10 unit lip flip (which I didn't want). The girl who was treating me explained that no it was just a normal lip flip but they changed the pricing structure to "per area" instead of "per unit"... basically tripling the cost. She was super friendly about it and explained they had a huge upswing in people coming in for only lip flips because of some Tik Tom trend and it wasn't worth their time to just see people for 4 units. So then I nicely asked... okay but I am getting about 25 other units, can I just pay per unit on my lips like I have for the past two years? And she said no, it's not my choice, it's corporate, it's our new pricing structure. Needless to say I skipped the lip flip and never returned after coming here for years. I recently started getting Botox again because I was visiting a plastic surgeon for tattoo removal and was impressed with the place. I was BLOWN away by the difference in my treatment. First off it was significantly cheaper. Secondly my treatment took twice as long. There was time spent studying my face, explaining options, Botox placement, symmetry etc. I was cautioned against getting too much instead of pressured into getting more. The areas being treated were ICED before hand to minimize pain (they have never done this at Alchemy 43!) and I was booked for a free follow up to make sure I had the results I wanted. I also was injected in completely different areas for both lip flip and brow lift than I was at Alchemy 43. My lips looked more or less the same between the two places but this time I didn't lose the applied to fully pucker my lips for the first month (only really noticed while using mouth wash) like I did with Alchemy lip flips. And the brow lift! Wow! The brow lifts at alchemy did little to nothing for me and this once completely opened my eyes. Alchemy weirdly injects in outer edge of brow where this new place injects in the scalp by your hair line and it makes a world of difference. Anyways Alchemy 43 is fine. There new pricing structure is complete rip off. Nothing bad will happen to you there but it's a total conveyor belt business. read more

First time getting Botox and I knew I didn't want a lot - I didn't want a frozen face. I already have pretty great skin for my age and just wanted a conservative amount to try it. I explained this to the practitioner. She literally ignored me and told me she would give me her recommendation and then I could discuss price with the office manager and decide what I want. To be clear, my desire to stay conservative had nothing to do with the price and everything to do with not looking a typical frozen face Weho queen. So after she tells me she recommends 68 units - which is really a crazy amount for me - I repeated I wanted to be conservative and if I want more, next time I'll do more. The practitioner goes on to explain I need to do more for the first time, and then every 3 months come back and they can do less. I get they're trying to upsell but this was crazy. Then the office manager comes in and explains why the practitioner is recommending this amount. I almost left. In the end I got 58 units and I'm very happy with the results (and would have absolutely not been happy had I got the additional 10). But because they're so pushy they lost a potential repeat customer and I won't be back. read more

Checking in was prompt, the consultation with the nurse was quick but attentive and the session lasted in total about 25 minutes. I wanted to start with one to see the effects. I have seen too many people that look like cartoon characters with overdone filler. She did not want to explain anything, and was just plain rude. Super bummed about this place. I figured since I work close to here I would start coming here before / after work instead of going super out of my way to another location that does this type of work. I called this location prior to booking to make sure how much the units of Botox were as well as letting them know I received a text that I referred a friend, over the phone the girl told me they had a holiday discount offer of $10 a unit for Botox, and she also gave me the green light regarding my $100 off referral that I had, so excitedly I booked my appointment before going into work. My appointment was at 11:30am, I get there at 11:20 and get checked in immediately, takes me into the room and I wait until the video consultation, I let her know I had done this already as I was a previous patient and she told me that they're doing it again.. I said ok fair. It was 11:35 at this point, did the quick video consultation and finished. She told me it would be another couple of minutes, I'm sitting there before work hoping I would get this done quickly.. and on time. 11:50 rolls around and I'm still waiting, so I leave the room to ask the receptionist what's going on and I needed to leave to go to work, she kindly understood and said she'd talk to the doctor. Doctor comes in a little before 12pm, tells me I need 20 units for my 11's which I then told her I do not need that many and typically don't use that many if we can lower them especially because with the price they were quoting me was $290! I was confused and asked why it would be that much? She then proceeds to tell me it's $14/unit and that my referral of $100 needed a minimum spent. This was not the information I was told over the phone which I explained. I wasted 30 min of my time waiting and got nothing done oh and was completely late for work. Would much rather stick to my "out of my way" place than to come here again. Communication and consistency should be important within team members so that situations like these do not happen, also, very unprofessional to have a patient waiting nearly 25-30 min after their appointment. read more
