The ambiance inside was very cute and I loved the exposed brick and different seating areas. We went for our anniversary and were expecting maybe something written on the dessert plate. The queso was good with what tasted like homemade chips. I wish there were more ingredients inside the queso. The BLT was good. The fries were nothing special. The tenderloin pasta was delicious and I really liked the sauce. The banana cheesecake wasn't really a cheesecake at all, but it was still OK. The service was sweet and attentive.

How it still looks amazing and tastes even better! Bartender was ready when I got arrived and got me right in and out! Very calming atmosphere while I was inside briefly. After reading review I was excited even though I'm not a big foody but I'm satisfied..FOR SURE

There is some parking around the back, but it does not look like there is a ton of it. Anyways, we sat down and ordered some drinks. This place is really chill. Within five minutes the manager came by, introduced himself, and gave us some recommendations. He spoke very highly of the short rib, so that is what we both ended up ordering. They were freaking amazing. The food came out fast, the service was great, and the presentation was excellent. When you have a kitchen putting out good food, a staff that is kind, and service that just flows, everything comes together perfectly. This place is a great example of how a restaurant should be run. They were even kind enough to give us desserts on the house, and of course they were fantastic. We had to pack them up to go, and I was literally rushing back to the hotel to get the ice cream in the freezer haha. If I am in the area again, I will definitely be coming back.

Sugarbacon for the WIN!! Friendly staff, attentive, and incredibly accommodating. The crew made us feel so important at our family celebration. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was great, loved the bar area with brown leather chairs. It was perfect for a wedding welcome gathering. Every detail was handled with professionalism and genuine hospitality. This restaurant helped make our son and Daughter in law's wedding weekend unforgettable, and we are deeply grateful. If I could give more than five stars, I would. Highest possible recommendation! Thanks a million, Sugarbacon!!!

I really loved the Christmas decorations and cozy vibes here! The staff was really great in suggesting drinks and also taking the time to take pics of us in front of their tree. The drinks here are delicious. Every drink we had-which were variations of an old fashion were top notch and I highly recommend coming here for the drinks and comfy seats! I had high hopes for the food but wasn't impressed, which is why this is only 4 stars. Both the escargot and bacon fell short on expectations. They were good but not something I'd recommend. The flavors of yummy smoked meat throughout the restaurant got me hyped up so maybe we just need to try one of their main dishes. They also have a spacious patio that looks good to eat when it's warmer. I believe they had heaters but the atmosphere inside was more of what we were looking for.

The ambiance was fun & chill. Not to loud. You're able to talk and visit with guests at your table. The good and the drinks were definitely worth going back for!

It's 10/24, 6:45pm and I'm still sitting in the booth sharing this...that's how great this place is! The food is amazing and our server, Lissa, has been incredible. A gent, who I believe is the manager, even stopped by to check on us and the experience. He invited us to return for brunch which we will do! Everything has been top tier for a relaxing, quick dinner. Drink menu? Spot on. Appetizers? Get the sugar bacon. And the truffle fries? Mandatory....even if it doesn't go with your meal, add it to your Starter order. Perfect mix of great flavors, warm service, and a comfortable atmosphere. Already planning my next visit.

Have been here for brunch and dinner, and this place does not miss! The location is fantastic in the bustling McKinney Downtown, is very family friendly, and great service. The ambience is very vibey and decorative based on the season inside, but most importantly the food is fantastic and fresh. The steak burrata salad is a generous portion and I've been back for it multiple times!! Every guest I've taken here loves their dish, and the owner is also very nice.

Great service and atmosphere. Menu options all sounded great and decided to go with the brunch menu. Had the Sugar bacon appetizer, the espresso martini, and the brisket toast with truffle tots! Amazing flavors for all! My husband had the Proper Brunch Burger (delicious and expect to make a mess). Will definitely come back when in the area.

Heard great things about this place- but service was not the best- fries were cold but we asked for a redo- better the second time around and didn't have a lot of interesting options to choose from. Kind of bland. Friends were pretty sad about their chose. They didn't think the entree matched the menu description and the flavors didn't mesh well. They were thrown off by the off putting color the avocado cream. A miss this time for us.

A very sad avocado toast actually put

Came here for brunch. Service was great. Our server was wonderful. My food was very disappointing. Ordered the avocado toast. What I got what 4 pieces of toast with barely anything on it. I'm pretty sure the toast was not sourdough either. Tasted like regular cheap white toast. I had to ask for a side of avocado to actually put on the toast.

Chicken Alfredo

One of the worst dining experiences of my life. The waiter was rude, unhelpful, and abrasive. On top of that, had a special "Valentines Menu" that was the only thing we could order from, then were out of half of the items on it and offered no alternatives, just told us it wasn't available after we had placed the order. The food was not good, and not as described either. We left paying entirely too much and extremely unhappy. Very very disappointed and would not recommended to anyone.

Hi Debra! Great question, we currently do not have gluten-free options but we will pass this note along to the chef to see what we can do!

Our Butcher’s Cut is currently Bavette. The Bavette is the cut from the bottom sirloin and is lean, while leaving the steak juicy and flavorful. We marinade this steak prior to grilling and serving. All of our meat, including the Bavette, is prime… Read more

We are going to have to look up who is going to be playing and have another married date night. The only downside to the evening was unfortunately the host at the front door. Once seated we waited nearly an hour for the food, and it arrived with one good plate, and a $55 "Wagyu" which was a small, twisted piece of sinewed, chewy meat with cold, soggy veggies and mash. Sent it back, and my wife was finished by the time the replacement came - which again, was about as 'Wag'yu as a pup's tail. They kindly removed cost of my meal, and we got anniversary desert. Nice building and staff working hard - just set your expectations accordingly.

Warm wood tones, beautiful lighting, and that perfect upscale-yet-cozy feel make the whole place feel special. The location is ideal too -- easy to get to and surrounded by that lively Shops at Legacy energy without any of the chaos. But the food? Next level. The elk tacos were straight-up fantastic -- perfectly seasoned, tender elk, fresh toppings, and just the right amount of heat. I could have eaten a second order without hesitation. Then came the chicken fried steak, and it did not disappoint. Crispy, golden crust, juicy and flavorful meat, and that classic creamy gravy that tastes like it was made with love. Every bite was pure comfort food elevated. Everything about the experience felt thoughtful and elevated, yet still warm and welcoming. It's got that Texas feel to it, but cleaned up a bit. Comfortable, but still a little polished. The food was really solid across the board. You know how brunch can sometimes just be... fine? This wasn't that. Everything tasted like someone actually cared about it. Good seasoning, cooked right, and just enough creativity without overdoing it. It still felt like brunch, just done properly. Drinks were great too. Not over-the-top, just well-made and easy to enjoy. Definitely the kind of place where one turns into two without much convincing. Service was smooth--friendly, attentive, but relaxed. Nobody hovering, nobody rushing you out. Just a good flow to the whole meal. We ended up sitting there longer than we planned, just hanging out and enjoying it, which probably says the most.
