I've been going to sugar studio for about 6 months now, and I always get the basic eyebrow wax. I've seen about 4 different people and ALL of them are great!! I know it's good to stick to one person while shaping your brows; but, with my crazy schedule it's hard to. Every single one of them has kept the shape of my eye brows perfect and take their time doing them. I always thought that paying $10 elsewhere was expensive, but I pay $15+tip with absolutely no hesitation. You truly get what you pay for! Love this place! I will recommend to all my friends! I highly recommend sugaring, if you've never tried it definitely do so. I had Karli and she was awesome! I've been getting sugared for the past four years from a spa in Seattle. I can tell the inexperience and hesitancy in the Brazilian sugaring from Jen. The eyebrow wax was horrible. I just asked to get a minimal bit done, I didn't want a shaping, I have had my brows done for the past four years by the same woman and I didn't want the shape changed. What I got? Hello 1920s pencil thin brows. That was irritating. I kind of think some of the problems I experienced were due to lighting. The lighting of the place was a dim lit spa feel. Good for waiting areas and lobbys, bad for waxing. I've always seen the spas I go to use the bright client lights with the magnifying view lens . . . I'll just drive to Seattle to get it done by a pro. Really inexpensive pricing, that was the good thing. read more

Very subpar massage, technique was really bad and the use of rubber gloves made for an uncomfortable feeling. Front desk was nice and welcoming and therapist was positive and nice but she just did not know how to massage and i left feeling no relief after spending almost 100$ , was a waste of time and money and I will not return. On top of that they send automated text response that asks for feedback and nobody responds to that feedback. read more

I recently moved here from San Diego and so glad I found Jen at Sugar! She does an amazing job. I almost immediately felt comfortable. Before she begins, she offers a lavender hand massage. AMAZING! It's very calming. If you have never been sugared before, I feel that it's less painful than waxing and the hair doesn't grow back like waxing. If you're new to the area, the studio is on the top floor, so you have to go up some stairs, just in case you get confused. I love Jen and SO happy I found this place! Ohhh...they also offer a punch card. After 8 sugars, you get one free. The cost for the Brazilian is $45. Not bad at all!!! read more

This place is so wonderful. I had an extended bikini sugaring with Jen and she was amazing. Being my first time, she was quick to make me feel comfortable with a relaxing lavender hand massage. Sugaring is sooooo much less painful than waxing. (This is coming from someone with a very low pain threshold). She was very fast and thorough. I also booked a sweet and simple facial with Melissa. I cannot say enough positive things about that experience. She took me through the process step by step and was very informative about my skin. I booked the "my honey is coming home" package for next month which includes a Brazillian, a sweet and simple facial, a mani/pedi and a custom airbrush tan for $110! I have been getting waxed by Jenny for years now. She is absolutely wonderful and knows how to make a customer feel comfortable. Her studio is adorable and she has some great products. When living on whidbey I was able to go to her all the time. I live a little farther away now but still find myself driving over an hour just so I can see her because she's that good! read more

I am new to the area and wanted to find a place to get my brows done. I consulted Yelp reviews for a good place in the area and found Sugar Studio! I tried to call a couple of times and got voice mail. I didn't realize that she does not have a receptionist and therefore is unable to answer when she is with a client. Upon leaving a message she did call me back and I was able to make an appointment with her. Before we started, I also received the lavender hand massage, which was very relaxing and she did a wonderful job on my brows. They now have the great shape I was looking for and she even trimmed them so they aren't quite so unruly. Needless to say, I have found my new "place"! read more

My experience at the sugar studio was amazing!!! They have a super fun and relaxing atmosphere and they go above and beyond to make you feel comfortable and relaxed. I had jasmine do my brow shaping and tint, she did and awesome job. (I'm someone who is very particular about my brows and I've been to places that totally messed them up big time!). When jasmine was done and handed me the mirror I was surprised how amazing my they looked, I would definitely recommend sugar studio for any brow or waxing needs! I had a Brazilian sugar wax which is a lot less painful compared to a traditional Brazilian wax! I am now a member of the "coochie gangsta" club which is $45 a month to get Brazilian sugars. Jen made my first experience sugaring so comfortable, I normally get traditional waxes but wanted to try sugaring because no matter how much waxes the pain never gets easier; even though you hear "keep the maintenance up and the pain is more tolerable" which wasn't true in my case so I decided to try sugaring. It also exfoliates your skin & takes off dead skin which is what intrigued me. read more

Never tried sugaring before but this place was awesome. I'm coming from San Diego and I never thought I would find a place like this in Oak Harbor. I'm used to waxing and with sugaring the pain level on a scale from 1-10, it's about a 3-4. The vajayjay turned out soooo beautiful lol. Moved here in August from San Diego and was looking for a great spot for waxing. Thought it would be hard to find a replacement because my waxing lady in San Diego was amazing. I found Sugar Studio through Yelp and I just say, I love this place. I love the sugaring, and definitely think it's better than regular waxing for Brazilian. I've never had sugaring done until recently and I am sold! I love how they have memberships for certain services (I purchased a membership), which will save you some money if you decide to do it every month. For the membership I purchased, if I don't want to have the sugaring done, I can swap out the service for either a massage or facial. Today, I had a facial and it was amazing. I can't remember the name of the lady, but she was really good. She was nice and gentle, and I left today feeling very relaxed. The employees/ladies that work there are ALL nice and know what they're doing. The estheticians are knowledgeable & it's obvious they care about making sure their clients leave happy. They were awesome. I had never been sugared before which is basically a large gooey ball of what looks like honey and Courtney talked me through the process. It stung a bit but was so much better than a regular hard or soft wax Brazilian, even though I'm pregnant. The clarify facial was awesome and I almost fell asleep half way through. I can't even express how happy I am that this cute little gem is in Oak Harbor! Today I went in for an appointment and the place is very cute, clean and more spacious than it looks from the outside. Karli was my technician and I received a brazilian. Need I mention that this was only my 2nd time with the sugar method and I am surprised that it is not very popular. It is less painful than wax, all natural (the sugar base is made of sugar, water, and lemon juice) and in my case super fast. I must have been in and out in 10 minutes. I loved it! The cost is $55 for a brazilian but I signed up for the monthly membership which makes it $45 and you can trade the brazilian for a 45 minute massage if you don't need a brazilian for the month. They also offer a sugar scrub which I will be trying out tonight. It smells great! Overall an amazing experience and great place. Highly recommended if you are nearby. read more
