I want to start by saying this review has NOTHING to do with my stylist, who was and is amazing. I…read morewill definitely be returning because of her. However, my experience with the front desk staff and the booking process was incredibly frustrating to say the least. I called a couple of months in advance to schedule my appointment and then called again the Monday before my appointment (that Saturday) to confirm the price of the service I wanted (balayage). The woman I spoke to quoted me $203.00, which I was fine with and had planned my finances accordingly. When I arrived for my appointment, everything with the stylist went smoothly, but when I went to check out, I was told the total was $328.93--$125.93 MORE than the price I was quoted just days earlier. This is a huge discrepancy, and it caught me off guard, especially after I had specifically confirmed the price only days before. Not only was I frustrated by the unexpected cost, but it also meant I couldn't tip my stylist as generously as I had planned. This lack of transparency and poor communication from the front desk is completely unacceptable. It's a huge disappointment because the stylist was wonderful, but the experience overall was marred by the miscommunication. I strongly urge the salon to address their pricing clarity and ensure that customers are quoted accurate information to avoid situations like this in the future. Just a total bummer of an experience.

I recently went in for my second back waxing appointment here, and unfortunately the experience was…read morenoticeably worse than my first visit. I'm new to waxing, so at first I wasn't sure whether what happened was normal, but after talking with my wife afterward, it sounds like it was not. During my first visit, after the waxing was completed, my back was wiped down and some type of soothing cream was applied. This time, the moment the final strip was removed, the technician immediately walked out saying, "I'll see you at the front." There was no cleanup, no wipe down, and no aftercare product applied at all. I had to put my shirt back on over a raw, sticky back, which was pretty uncomfortable. Additionally, the wax/oil felt significantly hotter than during my first appointment. For a service that ends up costing around $100 with tip, I expected a bit more of a spa-like experience and consistency. To be fair, this place receives very good reviews overall, so maybe this was just an off experience. I even wondered afterward if I had somehow offended the esthetician, though I can't imagine how since I'm not much of a talker. They seemed perfectly fine when checking me out and even scheduled me for another appointment in 4 weeks, so I'm honestly just trying to make sense of the difference between visits. Unfortunately, this experience was enough that I won't be returning.

First off, Hai works alone so if you're expecting a busy nail salon with several techs, not the place. She's been doing nails for over 20 years. Not bad at all for the area. My pedicure came out perfect. No complaints from me. She doesn't do artificial nails ( I don't do fake nails but for those who might). I recently had a pedicure at my first nail salon in Oak Harbor, and it wasn't the best experience…read more I rarely get pedicures myself, so I was really hoping for a good one. The owner suggested I put my feet in the water while she picked my color, but I wish she had asked me to pick a color beforehand. I told her I wanted pink, but she ended up using red. Also, I wanted to warn everyone who's considering a pedicure there that she doesn't file nails or remove dead skin from your feet. I paid a lot for something I could easily do myself at home. Plus, I noticed she missed a lot of spots on the nail polish, which didn't look professionally done. It was very disappointing. She also asked how much I was tipping her in front of another customer and had me walk barefoot to her machine while my foot nails were drying. I would give no stars if I could, I'm definitely not going back to this salon.
