Her stylist "Cotori" was new, and what followed warranted this one star review. Citori left the toner in for 20 minutes with my wife's head in a bowl. Uncomfortable best describes that portion of experience not to mention this error extinguished the highlights all together. What a colossal screw up. Next, after being warned by my wife that her hair is already thin and fragile, and it was once caught in a drain by another stylist a few years back at a salon in Edmonds, Citori assured my wife that wouldn't happen. Over the far too long, 3.5 hour appointment that dragged on, Citori did I fact anage to Knott my wife's hair and had to cut out a huge chunk of it which was devastating ti my wife. This visit resulted in loss of hair and no difference in color to the tune of $155.00. Worst of all, my wife contacted the salon owner Heather Middleton who said she was unable to provide a refund and suggested my wife return for another re-coloring. This should have never been offered because recoloring right after a recoloring treatment would have damaged her hair further. When my wife questioned Middleton about this offer to recolor, she agreed it was tii early to do that. After offering a conditioning treatment, Middleton stopped all further communication. Middleton should have refunded my wife, no questions asked. Instead, she excused her obligation to do the right thing by saying the stylists are independent. That should have had no bearing on the decision to refund. For that poor customer service decision, she gets this horrible review.

She made him feel as if she has the appt arranged for either service (since after all it was a superset) Fast fwd to the day of my birthday appt, my boyfriend drops me off. The stylist aka Melissa who happems to also be the shop owner, then proceeds to inform me we only had an hour booked and could only do a haircut. Offers no apology, no care, no concern what so over. Just lazily keeps saying all we can do is a haircut.... When I explained the situation & understanding of how the appt was booked her response was literally "I'm sorry that they told you that but we would never book an appt without knowing" As is this surprise was made up.... Completely unwilling to work this out for a new client. Completely unapologetic to the situation & offers no fix to said issue. No offer of another appointment.. In a time where small businesses are dependent upon their customers, Melissa the shop owner sure did screw her way out of $400 this day. Her customer service was horrible. She offered no real apology, no ounce of empathy & no desire to try and fix what they messed up. Simple lazy response to what was supposed to be a special day. I wouldn't give a dime to a salon that gives no effort in making their clients happy. And this all falls on the shop owner. What an example you are setting for your employees to follow Melissa I can assure you, treat enough people this way and your salon will be non existent. On a brighter note...I only had to take a short walk down the Main Street to find a salon that was more than willing to take Genisis services & you better believe the whole salon heard of the experience you just gave, Melissa. As a neighboring salon, they could not believe you took no effort in making This right. Glad to not have given you a dime.

I came in with dry, damaged, uneven color and left with the best hair I've ever had. Walking into a new salon can feel intimidating--especially after having past experiences where stylists fried my thin, fine hair. But from the second I walked in, every single stylist looked like a model, yet they made me feel so welcome and hyped me up without even trying. An employee offered me a drink right away while I waited, and then I met Hannah. She was warm, professional, easy to talk to, and genuinely interested in helping me figure out a plan for my hair. I wasn't exactly sure what I wanted, but she talked through everything with me and we landed on a cut and balayage that turned out better than I could've imagined. What made the experience even more special was the energy of the whole salon. Justyne (an owner and brow/skin specialist) popped in and included me in conversation with her and Hannah like I was part of the crew. Kelee, another owner, came over in between clients, cracking jokes and chatting with us. And right next to me was Lindsay, who was doing extensions and talking about how much she loves her work--her attention to detail was amazing and her vibe was just as kind and genuine as everyone else's. It's rare to find a place where the talent, atmosphere, and customer care are all this good. I left with beautiful hair and a full heart.
