In the beginning I had a very pleasant experience with desert sun (I bought some tanning package for my wife for our anniversary). Customer service was great, the prices were fair, my wife loved the beds and their products... no issues. My wife became such a frequent goer that we upgraded to some deluxe package that cost $71.17 a month. Then we discovered in October that my wife was pregnant and as we all know, baking in tanning beds while a bun is baking in the oven is a NO-NO. Therefore, we unfortunately had to cancel our membership, we go into the location and the clerk behind the desk said "ok gotcha you're canceled". A month later we see the charge for 71.17 comes out and I say oh no this is a mistake we canceled. That's where the unpleasant experience begins. We called the oak harbor location and they were no help and directed us to corporate who I had to leave messages for several times. To keep a long, and frustrating story short , 3 months go by with the $71.17 coming out each month and then FINALLY I get an answer from corporate. I spoke to a girl who was no help and directed me to her supervisor Catrina and that's when they gave me the unfortunate response that I was SOL and because there was no confirmation that my wife's membership was canceled BACK IN OCTOBER that I could not have my money reimbursed. Mind you, it's their policy to ensure you get a confirmation via email or a printed out one there on site once you cancel the membership. So there ya go, people behind a desk with a smile but don't do their job correctly and cancel your membership when asked nor do they email or print out a confirmation for you so there's nothing you can do about it. And for you esteemed mathematicians, that's a lost grand total of $213.30!! Exactly what a family could use as their expecting a hungry baby boy!
And keep in mind I didn't spend the whole review bashing desert sun, as stated before my wife truly enjoyed her time there, just very unfortunate and upsetting how things ended. They made a mistake and it cost me a pretty penny. As a father I will say, I'm not mad Desert Sun..... just disappointed read more
