I had only had one spray tan in the past, and the girl did an awesome job, but I didn't put enough effort into the before and after care to make sure it lasted as long as possible. This time, when I booked with Amy, I made sure to listen closely and take notes on what I needed to do before and after my spray tan. Amy and I had a quick phone call when I reached out about the appointment. I scheduled at least a month in advance, so I can't really speak to how easily you could get in last minute. I had no problems scheduling. Our phone call was super helpful. We went through all of the instructions and she gave me a lot of before care advice that I followed until my appointment. When it was finally appointment day, I went in for my spray tan! Amy was super welcoming and kind. She told me my skin looked good for the spray tan, which was music to my ears, because I had been doing all of her before care suggestions! We talked a bit about which spray tan option I would go for and what shade I wanted to achieve. We ended up deciding on a rapid tan option with a medium shade. I think I left it on for about 4-5 hours... Throughout my appointment, Amy was very respectful and friendly. She gave me product recommendations for body wash and sunscreen, which was super helpful! When the appointment ended, we realized it was raining outside. I didn't have an umbrella, so Amy offered to walk me out to my car with one of her umbrellas! It was one of the nicest things ever. She escorted me to my car and we said our goodbyes. She made it clear that I could reach out to her with any questions or concerns, which was super nice! After 4-5 hours, I took a shower and rinsed off (no soap). When I woke up the next day, I had an absolutely beautiful bronze glow! I truly was amazed by how gorgeous the color was. It got me extra excited for my trip. :) The spray tan lasted throughout the entirety of my trip, although it did fade a bit (which was inevitable because I was in the ocean quite a bit). When we packed up to come home, I still had a little bit of color on my body. I was surprised that it lasted that long! I know that it was due to the advice that Amy gave me for after care. As a tip: she only accepts cash so make sure you have that on hand. Don't worry though, she'll go through all of this with you before your appointment! Overall, I had a 10/10 experience with Amy and Simply Bronzed! I would highly recommend her to anyone. Thank you Amy!!!! :)

This team of skilled technicians makes this fabulously cool salon what it is, and not only has my hair always turned out just right, everyone I've brought here (of which there have been many) has been beautified to perfection. -- MY DETAILS -- This salon is truly a local staple: it was founded by the Mom of my go-to colorist Colleen. It's now changed locations, names, and hands over the years, but it is and always will be a family-style run business. In the years I've gotten my hair done by this team, I've NEVER ONCE seen any client leave unhappy, and I've been a client since I moved here in 2007... so long ago that was at their original location: where "FIVE GUYS BURGERS & FRIES" sits in Burlington! Several stars go to my miracle-worker Colleen. She took me from bland mousey brown to my true self: a vibrant ginger! She and Tiffany (Tiff is great at cuts, esp for both sexes) also helped get my style back after surgeons literally shaved half my head straight up the back (no joke... brain surgery does that to you). They got me back looking decent even when I felt nowhere near it. Colleen has been patient and kind with my forgetfulness & headaches & pain that causes me to reschedule far too often. The entire staff is friendly and fun, and many of whom I've since learned are childhood friends, which adds to the calm, friendly atmosphere here. So whether you're a new face or a long-time client, you'll feel welcomed as well as fantastic. She made him feel as if she has the appt arranged for either service (since after all it was a superset) Fast fwd to the day of my birthday appt, my boyfriend drops me off. The stylist aka Melissa who happems to also be the shop owner, then proceeds to inform me we only had an hour booked and could only do a haircut. Offers no apology, no care, no concern what so over. Just lazily keeps saying all we can do is a haircut.... When I explained the situation & understanding of how the appt was booked her response was literally "I'm sorry that they told you that but we would never book an appt without knowing" As is this surprise was made up.... Completely unwilling to work this out for a new client. Completely unapologetic to the situation & offers no fix to said issue. No offer of another appointment.. In a time where small businesses are dependent upon their customers, Melissa the shop owner sure did screw her way out of $400 this day. Her customer service was horrible. She offered no real apology, no ounce of empathy & no desire to try and fix what they messed up. Simple lazy response to what was supposed to be a special day. I wouldn't give a dime to a salon that gives no effort in making their clients happy. And this all falls on the shop owner. What an example you are setting for your employees to follow Melissa I can assure you, treat enough people this way and your salon will be non existent. On a brighter note...I only had to take a short walk down the Main Street to find a salon that was more than willing to take Genisis services & you better believe the whole salon heard of the experience you just gave, Melissa.
