I've wanted to try Cousins Maine Lobster for quite some time. Well...finally, the time came -- and…read moreit was literally right outside our building. They were parked outside the main entrance and arrived about 15 minutes late. That was understandable, as they were here during rush hour. They were supposed to arrive at 4 p.m. We went down about 15 minutes early. Some people were standing around in the lobby, which turned into a disorganized line of sorts. I somehow managed to get in line first. Our building social director gave the first 30 people to arrive coupons to save $10. Can't complain about that! Once the truck arrived, they hit the road running. They did all their prep work in advance, so the food came out quickly. I ordered two Connecticut lobster rolls, one lobster bisque, and one clam chowder. We got plastic forks and spoons, plenty of napkins, and four small packets of oyster crackers. As for how the food was---We both liked our starters. I had the lobster bisque. The bisque had a silky texture and a generous amount of lobster. I liked that it didn't have any sherry. My husband liked his clam chowder. It was full of cubed potatoes and clam pieces and was very filling. While he is not a fan of lobster, he really enjoyed it. The lobster rolls were good. They used New England style rolls, which we always appreciate. Our only complaint is that the rolls needed more butter as they were on the dry side. Otherwise, the lobster portion was generous and cooked properly. All in all, it didn't disappoint. While it wasn't cheap, it was worth splurging. If they ever come by again, we'll be in line!

The mozzarella one is all cheese inside with the jalapeño one is a hotdog inside. Both were insanely delicious but I had a slight preference for the cheese one. The batter is delicious and the sugar topping creates that perfect savory and sweet balance. We also got an order of the Chinese donuts which came with chocolate and strawberry dipping sauces. Lastly, we ordered the triple sauced chicken which came with rice. Everything was delicious but the corn dogs are for sure the standouts! You must try one! This is a family run business and you can tell they put a lot of work into their food. Go to Facebook or Instagram to find out where they'll be and try out their food. I'll be hunting them down for another mozzarella corn dog.

Miss Kim's is a food truck mainly seen in Chesapeake , rotating around the city with their delicious affordable meals. I can't complain. The flavors are there and I sure am glad that Chesapeake is a host of a non-chain place such as Miss Kim's because the authenticity is well tasted in each umami filled bite. I had an Arroz con Pollo bowl, which was absolutely OUTSTANDING. The bowl can be misleading because it seems like it's small. But it is PACKED with food and it is delicious! Everything was fresh and flavorful. I couldn't even eat it all. That might have been because I started with an empanada. LOVED every bite of that as well! One of the best surprises, though, were the two fried plantains in the bowl. One of my faves! I also have to give them props for offering Mexican Coke! Seriously... it's the real thing. Will definitely be on the lookout for Sofrito for another great lunch!

My friend has the tacos and she said her tacos at home are better. Even the bowl was just ok. Definitely not representative of Puerto Rican food at all. How can the food be both salty and flavorless.
