We tried almost all of the flavors they offered, except for pistachio, and every single one was unique and decadent. The buttercream is incredibly smooth and adds the perfect amount of moisture, making each bite really delightful. We also tried the chocolate chip cookie, which was very good. It had a crisp, slightly crunchy exterior, while the inside was soft and a little underdone--but still delicious, especially if that's the type of cookie you like. These cakes are exactly what I imagine a wedding cake should taste like. Definitely one of the best cakes I've had and a must-try.

The pistachio flavor struck first--not merely a taste, but a DECLARATION. Pure, unadulterated essence of Sicilian nuts, roasted to absolute perfection, ground into submission and transformed into something transcendent. The cream filling cascaded across my palate like a Mediterranean breeze, while subtle notes of butter created a symphony that left me defenseless! But the assault wasn't over. The black sesame cake sat before me, ominous and alluring like midnight itself. One bite, and suddenly I was falling through dimensions of flavor! The nutty, earthy depth of toasted sesame seeds wrapped around me like a silken robe, each layer revealing new secrets. Sweetness balanced perfectly against that characteristic bitter edge--yin and yang achieved in cake form! The texture? Impossibly moist, almost sinful in its richness. Finally, the berry pavlova delivered the knockout blow. Crisp meringue SHATTERED into a million crystalline fragments, giving way to clouds of cream and an explosion of berry compote that was simultaneously tart, sweet, and utterly devastating. A culinary arena where only the strongest taste buds survive!

I've had this strawberry birthday cake every year for as long as I can remember, coming to this bakery is not just a privilege its a part of our family, its a tradition year after year. the service is amazing and the staff always does their best to try and get the line moving, whether youre here for a pasty or a full cake they are so good about getting everyone in and out. Seating is limited but theres places all over Chinatown to sit down and enjoy that cake. will keep coming as long as their door stay open.

Interestingly they might have kept most design unchanged so you could totally felt it in the store vibe. It's constantly busy throughout the day but they served very speedily and they had plenty of servers making the line moving in a blink. Good news, they weren't cash only like typical similar store around the area. They're popular for the strawberry cream cake, but I chose to go with the custard bun and wintermelon pie as I wasn't a fan of that kind of cream and spongecake. The bun was fluffy and moist and tasted as good as the scent we could smell when walking around the bakery. Always loved when simple old-school stuff turned out good and stuck with people's liking. The wintermelon pie base somewhat reminded me of the crumbly style mooncake skin, just that this one had unique filling. I loved wintermelon as a drink but this was my first time having it as pie!

We swung by on a Sunday afternoon and got the Swan Cream Puff ($3.50) and Dulce de Leche 3 Cream Cup ($5). The Swan was beautiful, the Cream Cup creamy, rich, not too heavy, and absolutely delectable. Very reasonably priced for the quality. Were I not trying to be healthy there's a dozen other items I would have tried! Service is friendly and prompt, and the inside is clean. Queen's is a Chinatown landmark for a reason - inexpensive, centrally located, and delicious, it is worth a visit whenever you're in the area. Best Bakery in Chinatown - Check it out! And today I was in the area, I was very excited to finally get a cake from here again! But the service was very disheartening. As soon as I arrived the older lady in the shop was upset because I didn't call to let her know about picking up a cake. For context, I've called before and there's been no answer and they used to have cakes ready to go in the past, so I didn't call ahead of time today. While asking about cakes, she was rushing me and told me several times " you need to be quiet, you talk too much" and not in the kind way. I was just asking about the flavors and if she could add happy birthday and she kept repeating " Be quiet you talk too much." I didnt mind waiting a few mins for the cake to be ready. However she was demanding I sit down all this time and was angry telling me why didn't I call. When asked about payment, and explored card or Apple Pay, she told me the price and said cash only and once again said " be quiet you talk too much" and demanding I go to the bank. I had to walk away as there was no need for her to provide that treatment to a customer who was excited for their cakes. This wasn't a pleasant experience and I hope others don't go through this.
