I stopped here for breakfast while in town touring. I scouted this place out before I arrived and OMG..... This spot was everything!!!!! From the time I walked in I was greeted with a smile and got seated right away. I was told my waiters name and that he would be over shortly. My waiter arrived with a very energetic attitude-- he was very knowledgeable of the menu and was also very professional, which made my ordering smooth, I wish I could remember his name. I do remember he had a bald head and a blazer on. The food arrived pretty fast and also hot and fresh. The presentation of the food was amazing and so was the taste of everything. This place did not disappoint. The decor is really nice-with a New Orleans type of vibe. The music was good too. It was a breath of fresh air to receive such top notch service and enjoy every single thing on my plate. I would definitely recommend giving this place a try if you're thinking about it and I will definitely return if I'm ever in Detroit again.

My friend and I stopped here for breakfast during our most recent visit to Detroit. They were short staffed so it took a while to get seated. Once we were seated, our server came within a couple minutes to get our drink orders. She was very pleasant and answered all of our questions. We ordered our food with no issues and once it came out... amazing! Everything tastes so good. I had the Cinnamon roll French toast, eggs and turkey sausage. I will definitely be returning. It's clean and very pretty inside. Located in a good location with street parking.

We stopped in late afternoon. It was not busy, just two other tables. We waited 2-3 minutes for someone to acknowledge us and seat us. My husband asked about an item on the menu and the server said it was her first day and she didn't know. The look of the interior was cool but attention to detail was missing. The bar had dead flowers in vases. It would be better to just throw them out and have none. The floor under our table was dirty with food and the table wobbled spilling our water. We ordered cheesy grits but they were bland with just some cheese sprinkled on top. Our breakfast sandwich was good though I asked for turkey bacon and did not get it. The music was so loud that I could not hear my husband or the server. We finally asked our server if they could turn it down and she did. There is an automatic 20% tip added to your bill so maybe that's why the service was poor.

In Detroit for a business meeting, hotel front desk recommended 2 nearby spots for brunch with no details about either one. I decided to come here ... delicious brunch with excellent playlist in the background --a nice surprise and treat for my NOLA roots!

Went here for my birthday. They wouldn't seat us until the whole party was there. It was three of us and we were waiting for one person. The restaurant was slow since brunch was winding down. I asked could we be seated because I wanted to order drinks and food for the table since it was my birthday. They would not let me sit at the table, but insisted that we sit the bar even though the restaurant was nearly empty. That really frustrated me so I ended up actually not ordering a drink even when we were seated. The food was delicious good, but the portion sizes did not match the prices. The food was way too expensive for the small amount of servings you were given. I would try to go back here but not during the weekend brunch, maybe during a lunch special or dinner special but I don't think paying $22 for a slice of toast and three wings and $24 for the equivalent of a plate of grits is acceptable. The food being delicious is the only reason for there not being a lower rating.

First off I have to stop listening to social media influencers they are dangerous. Because this place isn't that good! Now it is the food good yeah certain things on the menu. Heads up Gratuity is here even if it's only two people. Those Mocktails are Oceanspray so if you don't want any high fructose corn syrup skip the mocktail... or juice selection unless it's in-house made. (They have some stuff that's house made or by other vendors) They are still relatively new so don't expect top notch on point service. They are still trying to figure it out. Like they sat me at the bar and they didn't give us any silverware. We ordered appetizers and they came out super close to our food. The kitchen was behind and they kept telling us our food was coming it took about an hour and some change. (Best time to go is maybe at 2pm ish lighter traffic) I ordered the cinnamon roll French toast! Sounds amazing right. It's Dry so dry and hard! Syrup or not. Eggs were cold. Cheese add is $1 egg add on $6. Appetizer was Hot honey Salmon! We are all on a hot honey wave. Well don't expect that here it's a fancy cocktail sauce that's definitely suppose to be on a shrimp. It's not a taste of hot or honey in there baby. Listen when you go just don't have your hopes high. Just expect brunch.. basic food It's like a casual vibe here looks like people link for meetings here and celebrate birthdays a good spot to stop after church or something.

My daughter and the wings and French toast.

From the moment I walked in the atmosphere, staff, presentation, knowledge base was superb. Immediate attention from the staff. They took the time to answer all of our questions. I was impressed by the non-stereotypical add ons. I just retired and my daughter treated me. I chose Sugah Please Breakfast Brunch-support black based businesses. I selected the blackened salmon and grits and selected wings with French toast. My salmon and grits were delicious. The salmon was cooked perfectly and topped with a veggie relish that put this dish over the top. Norris was one of our initial servers. He stated that he was the one that suggested the veggie relish on top of the salmon. I am a foodie and this bit of knowledge was very impressive. I will be returning to try something new -again and again. Thank you so much.

Had the best pancakes of my whole life here. They look normal but oh my lawd they were amazing. Bacon was Music was a whole vibe. We got a hug before we left, felt like my cousin owned the place. Gratuity was included on the bill and we didn't notice so we tipped twice. But, that's on us. We will be back fs.

Upon entry, the restaurant wasn't busy, but we waited about 10 minutes before anyone acknowledged us. We then waited an additional 10 minutes to be seated. They might have been short staffed- which is understandable. The chairs at the table were at an awkward height, so it was a little difficult to enjoy the food based on the angle. The food was good though!

The food was amazing. The service was very slow. The bartender was very attentive and polite. The hostess not so much which is sad as she had the most amazing smile. I did like the ambiance a lot. I will come back for a round 2 to see if I can raise these stars!

Here is the lay of the land: Check in at the little red table in the center of the outdoor courtyard if you want "full service". - which means eating and drinking at a table with wait staff. It is not seat yourself at the outdoor tables, like we originally thought. There is a nice sized bar indoors and seating at the bar is first come first served. We ordered several of the small plate "snacks" and I can tell you that the hummus is not to be missed. It is served with (homemade?) tortilla chips that are absolutely addictive. They have lots of choices for wine, beer, and cocktails. Towards the back entrance of the property, there is a drink truck where you can also order "walkaway" food and drinks. Not entirely sure where you sit with the food/drinks you order, as most of the seating seemed reserved for full service. Additionally, there is a photo booth for pics (long line) and Warda Patisserie is right next door and accessible through a garden walkway.

The inside restaurant area is also beautiful. We wanted to sit inside at the bar, so we waited for some seats to open up. If you want to sit outside, all you have to do is order at the bar and they'll serve your drinks in plastic cups for you to take outside. The rhubarb pie punch was so delicious I had to order it twice! Probably one of my favorite cocktails I've ever had. I also ordered the maurixio cattelan, which tasted like ginger ale. For a snack before dinner, we chose to get the burrata and it was so refreshing. The service was great and our bartender was super friendly! The logo with the little lamb is adorable. I bought one of their wine glasses with their logo on it too for just $10.

The theme was "Yes, Chef: An exploration of culinary icons through a cocktail lens." Each drink was inspired by or dedicated to a famous culinary icon, and you can read about each one in the index. We each ordered one drink from each section. From the Opening, I chose the Diaspora Club, which was so refreshing and delicious. Then from the Principals, I chose the Chingona, which was a little bit spicy and savory but still so refreshing. To Finish, I chose the Chocolatier Cosmo, which came with a tiny house-made salted dark chocolate. I loved all three cocktails I ordered, especially the chocolatier cosmo because it was perfectly sweet and went so well with the small piece of chocolate. For food, we started off with the crispy pork belly milk bread. For my entree, I ordered the miso butter gnocchi. It was kind of on the salty side but I still really liked it. The apple sofrito added a bit of sweetness to it. For dessert, we had to get the rhubarb coffee cake, which came with strawberry ice cream. Omg one of the best desserts I've ever had!! I never thought of combining cinnamon coffee cake with rhubarb or strawberry but it's perfect, and I might have to make something like that soon. Service was great and we were seated right away at 8pm on a Saturday despite not having a reservation. Food and drinks came out promptly and timed perfectly. We spent about 1.5 hours here and we never felt rushed.

Our server was very welcoming and helped to set up our food order into courses that allowed us a very relaxing evening Cocktails were really good. I had a Last Word and it was very well done. The restaurant is decorated very nicely with warm wood trim. The bar area looked stellar and very French-bistro like. I will sit there next time No so Highs Food was good, but just OK. Between the two of us we had the beet salad, burger and steak tartare. Burger was good, but not the best smash burger that I've had. Beet salad was fine, however the cream cheese was a bit overpowering against the orange oil. It was dying for some citrus. Steak tartare was a bit dry, meaning that a small dab of olive oil would have added to the richness and overall mouth feel. I did not really taste the egg although I did see a dab of yolk on the tartare. Needed a bit of salt also to enhance the taste Menu was small, but it did cover a cross section of French bistro dishes. All in all, I thought it was a bit overpriced. So I will have to consider returning for a full meal. I would come back for a burger and beer at the bar.
