The service is terrible! We got in there got offered drinks pretty quick and food which is fine. But then sat in there for over an hour and never got offered refills may drink was empty for about 45 mins. Towards the end my youngest boy had a burger and his burger split on him and fell out of bun on the floor and I simply asked would they be willing to make him another burger didn't need whole plate just sandwich. He's only 4 years old so accidents do happen and I wouldn't be upset if they said no but usually a restaurant would do something for a kid! Not SUE!! They made another plate and told me they would charge me for it and just knock half off for the other which basically forced me to spend more money which still wasn't a problem necessarily it was just the attitude I was given behind all of this stuff and then finally when I got chance for drinks just said can I just get two to go cause I been here over an hour and never got one refill. Well that took another ten minutes. Then when I got the bill I had my card out she walked away and so I went up front to pay since she didn't take my card the other girl couldn't ring it up so she went and got waitress again the waitress ran card and put final copy down to sign and just walked off again! Just one thing after another the worst I have ever seen! I haven't been back here in almost a year and I told myself I wouldn't come back because of the crap service and in the past getting served cold wings and shit it is just a terrible restaurant and owner is full blame for it! I have had so many people tell me similar experiences and don't care to go there anymore either! Only thing this place has going for it is occasionally some good singers come and sing and play and maybe sit at bar and have a drink or two and watch sports but don't go here for good food and service! Not to mention cost is high for what you get. Hell with the food and service this should be McDonalds prices and I mean the cheap menu of McDonald's! Definitely ask around and get plenty of opinions before going here! Hopefully the owner will do something about her staff and train them better but that would require her getting up out of chair where she sits and talks with friends she knows while there instead of walking around and running her restaurant properly and making sure her guest are happy! The wings and food here are top-tier. They have really cheap prices and the best wings I've ever had. The servers are really fast and nice and the atmosphere has has a nice little country corner vibe there's always karaoke or games are going on. It's always a fun and nice place to eat. No food and no service! Unfortunately or perhaps fortunately we did not get any food. After 1 hour and 20 minutes at this establishment we decided to call it. It was a bad sign when we walked in and we're told to sit wherever we would like, and after two walk throughs found one dirty table available. After making our way to the front desk and making someone aware, we were told they would clean it. Great, we thought! Secretly amused that without saying what table it was, the hostess went right to it. After the two walk throughs and standing at the table waiting to be cleaned for ten minutes, we were in, sitting with menus in hand. Now, we do understand and keep in mind it's a Saturday night and I'm sure understaffed HOWEVER we are patrons wanting to spend our money and purchase a product within a reasonable amount of time! We ordered wings, and wings only mind you. And after 55 minutes and 3 different times asking the waitress what had happened, she finally said the order was never made. Well, that is obvious! HOWEVER, with the first two times we asked ( after 30 minutes and 50 minutes) after seeing people come in after us and get served, we were told different stories, they are very busy, they are short staffed, there's new people working. Ok, again understood but as it turns out.....it was a lie! She never checked with the kitchen on our order previously. After being a server for 21 years that is completely unacceptable. What if I was diabetic and relied on eating within a REASONABLE amount of time??? My husband and I looked forward to trying this business as we pass by it daily, but apparently it was not meant to be. We will still make another attempt to try their food, but food only - to go. We do not find a need to walk lapses through the restaurant, beg someone to clean a table nor wait a ridiculous amount of time for nothing. There is only a certain amount of time before someone reaches their boiling point or low blood sugar level for that matter. Just thankful we continued to ask or we would still be sitting there, skeletons by now. Service is a hard pass and unacceptable. I ordered the fire and ice chicken sandwich with the seasoned chips and fried mushrooms, chose a yuengling and water for the drink. Food was not very good. The sandwich taste burnt, the chips and mushrooms was ok and the yuengling was good. But everything tasted like it was all fried together. The sandwich was soggy. My friend had a peice of fried pickle in the same basket as his wings. The water taste like sink water but the service was good. The table was also dirty. read more

Moved back here after several years. Decided to stop in for a beer after work. Bartender bragged it was "redneck" and "white trash" since he's worked there, then claiming he's worked as a bartender there since it opened in 2008. Nevermind he looked too young to have been legal when they opened. Asking about one of the regular DJs that worked there at least from 2013 to 2018, he lied and claimed Brian had never worked there except as a fill in and they've never served IPAs (used to be one of the only places in town that did). Like he said. It's trashy, very trashy, in the highest end of Anderson, with Bosch and major European companies surrounding it, and the growing part of Anderson county's expensive neighborhoods. They seem to have forgotten how to clean the bar/restaurant/, public areas completely. I've never heard anyone voluntarily brag "trashy", but hey, who are any of us to argue with their own employee's explanation of why they don't carry any IPAs but one? NVM they used to be the only place in the county that had the best options. They appear to be catering to the out of town migrants building two distribution/manufacturing facilities. On a twist of the old judgey statement, when the out of town contractors are gone, they're still going to be in the high end of town with a low cleanliness rating from the state health and "trashy" atmosphere, "trashy" service and rude behavior. read more

Had not been to Sue's in many years due to bad experiences but decided to try again today because our current wing restaurant was closed for holiday. Brought the wrong wings but we ate them anyway. Then charged us 10 dollars more because they no longer have the special advertised their napkin holders. Will not be back. read more

The closest restaurant to me and I've been there once. I cannot explain why I with other than it was more convenient and I was already out. So we finally stop in and not bad. The service was not fluid and a little spotty. However, it was positive and respectful and in all fairness it was off hours so breaks and lunches are likely occurring. Personal standpoint, be more attentive and engaging. Now let's get to the food. I am a big fan of appetizers so ordered a sampler. Well done! Was extremely disappointed. Food took over 30 minutes to arrive. When we got our food the fries were not done. The bread on my Ruben was not toasted, so it was soggy, there was just a dot of saurkraut and thousand island dressing. Didn't even taste like a Ruben. Won't be going back. read more

The waitress gave herself a tip on top of what I gave her, on top of double charging us. - To beat the band, the food was COLD, and we didn't get any refills. We sent the food back and it only got worse after that. Sue the owner made it right for my husband and I, after several days of calling and trying. Our friends also got double charged and the waitress helped herself to their bank accounts as well- $10 tip for poor service on their bill...our friends went through the same BS with calling and trying to get their money back....never again read more

Very, very underwhelming. Messed up an extremely simple order. Ended up with bbq wings???? ahhh but I digress. The fried pickles tasted as if they were put in a dehydrator and then fried in old oil. Nearly inedible. It is quite unfortunate as this is one of the few options in the area. They could definitely spend some time cleaning as well. With all that said, I'm not sure they even care if they are a good (or even ok) restaurant. It appears that they want to operate as more of a bar and I should've picked up on that with all of the burnt rubber and donut marks in the parking lot and leaving the facility.. or maybe everyone was so disappointed in the food they left in a rage. Just read another review and was exposed to the same horrible wait and service. Continued to ask about our food and was continually told it would be read soon and they were short staffed. This was a Tuesday, and the place was nearly empty. Waited an hour and a half and simply told the waitress we weren't going to wait any longer and asked for the bill for the drinks we had. She went into a big explanation that our food order got mixed up and would be ready in a few minutes and if we left, we would have to pay for the food we never received!!! I dropped a twenty on the table to more than cover the drinks bill and walked out never be back in this pathetic establishment. I go in after work and the beer is always iced cold and the food is always good. Although they are like a lot of places and get very busy and understaffed you may have a small wait for food but that's understandable with the way the world is now and everyone not wanting to work. I highly recommend this place and go weekly. read more

Been here several times but not coming back. Hostess/waitress acted if she could care less. Had to ask for silverware. Got Tim's nachos, which states on menu "need someone to share with"--what a joke!! A small plate of nachos you couldn't share--other restaurants give you 3 times as much!!! Friend ordered Hot "wings" with onion rings instead of fries. Had to send back as they did not put onion rings in basket, but fries. Wings sauce was not hot--also mixed with BBQ sauce which friend doesn't eat. Waitress did not mention that Tim's sauce is HOT, much hotter than better than supposed "hot"sauce. They really do have some of the best wings in the area so you should definitely give em a try. They are always so busy we normally order to go which is very convenient with the walk up window for pickup orders. They have other great items in the menu too but wings are the best. Sues wings and things was great! My dad and I were on our way to New Orleans and stopped for a quick bite. Super convenient location; right off the highway! As always in the south, everyone was so friendly and welcoming. The place itself was pretty big and accommodating for all size parties. It had a small town feel inside, decorated with lots of sports things and pictures. The food was really good and really cheap, always a plus! I got grilled chicken fingers with mixed veggies and honey mustard. They were great. I was worried the chicken was going to be greasy but it was perfect and real tasty along with the veggies. My dad got a grouper sandwich which he said was fantastic. These fish go for like 15-20$ a pop now, especially in places like Florida and it was nice to find the sandwich for 9$. And dad said "one of the best he's had!" Overall great experience for a quick pit stop on our road trip! read more

Meh. For a restaurant with "wings" in the name I expected more. We recently moved to the area and visited Sue's on a Saturday around 11:20am. There were only 2 other tables occupied when we came in. I ordered 12 wings and my wife got the "summer salad" from the "daily specials" menu. The server came back and let us know that the "pasta salad" was not made yet, so they only had the chicken salad part of her order (the daily special was not made... then why do you have it on the special menu?). It also took nearly 30 minutes to get my wings and fries. Because of the wait, I was expecting piping hot food... wrong again... the wings were barely warm and had no flavor. The fries were cold! We decided to just eat them and mark this place off the list as "one-and-done!" read more

This is my go to place for wings. Although, none of their sauces are spicy. The have hot damn and fire but they aren't hot at all. They have a good taste though. Their wings are fried nicely. They even have good burgers. Wing places don't always have good burgers. We love their fried mushrooms as well. The knock on this place is the service. It's why I do drive through instead of eating in. The wait staff is slow, very slow. That's been every time, not a one time complaint. I know how challenging that job can be so I don't jump to complain about it. At Sue's it's been that way everytime. read more

The wings are big! The rest is just okay, always walk in and nobody ever comes to the front to seat us.

The prices are incredibly affordable. You get a ton of food for a little $$. The fried wings were average at best, as neither the hot nor fire wings were very spicy at all. The French fries and fried pickles were both soggy and almost inedible. If you are looking for quantity of food over quality of food, then this is the place for you!
