We broke up approximately eight months ago. Throughout those eight months, we have been at Rosa's at the same time on multiple occasions without incident. I have never approached her, spoken to her, or caused a disturbance. This had never been an issue before, which made the decision to remove me that night particularly confusing and upsetting, and came across as an act of intimidation. What disappointed me most was the way the situation was handled. As a business that I have frequented and genuinely enjoyed, I expected more professionalism and consideration towards customers, as this not only affected my night, but the group of friends with me as well. As I was being escorted out, I was informed that this ban was only for that night, as if I would want to return after that. I have heard other people express reluctance about attending Rosa's when this photographer is present. I cannot speak for their individual experiences, but I believe management should take customer concerns seriously and consider how decisions like this affect the people who support the business. At the very least, allow customers to enjoy a space without needing to worry about employees utilizing their power to carry out personal vendettas. If there were legitimate safety concerns, I would expect management to handle them professionally and fairly. However, I would not consider being kicked out with the dangerous implication of a safety concern professional or fair. A business should be able to balance the concerns of its event hosts with fairness, professionalism, and respect for its customers. Instead, I left feeling disrespected, and unwelcome at an establishment I had supported. Unfortunately, this experience has cost Rosa's a customer. I hope management reflects on how this situation was handled and considers whether its current approach is in the best interests of the business and the community it serves.
