My boyfriend & I placed a pickup order to this location on accident. My boyfriend called to either get it canceled/refunded & the girl he spoke to had absolutely no clue about any of the questions we asked. Her answer to everything was "I don't know." So I'm not sure why she couldn't pass the phone to someone who did- we were told we couldn't get a refund because the sandwich was already made but she didn't even have the name yet so how could she know? On the app it said our order was still being made too so that's confusing. After a lot of questioning, she told us "my manager said we can refund you but you cant order from here anymore." HELLO?! How on earth is this the conclusion to our problem... They didn't stay on the phone afterwards to make sure the whole refund process goes correctly, so I suppose we'll be waiting on that to see if it even happens. Went tonight to get my son a sandwich. He always gets a foot long Turkey on wheat bread with American cheese, a lot of pickles and honey mustard. A lot of pickles is double rows and double stacked which on a foot long "12inch", with one inch long pickles is about 44-48 pickles. The girl making the sandwich grabs a handful and spreads them on . At that point there were about 18 pickles and not covering the ends. I asked for a little more. She grabbed a few and I said still a little more it's not even covering end to end. She said the manager doesn't let then ot more. I asked for the managers number. She said thre manager was there and/ she took off to the back. She was gone for a few minutes and her and the manager walked out. I explained that all my son likes is the extra pickles and if they could put them on. She said it costs money to add extra. So I said ok so in place of every other item he is not getting to add the pickles in their place. Now keep in mind there are 9 items you can get, lettuce, tomatoes, spinach, pickles, onion, bell pepper, olives, pepperoncini and pickles. Those 9 items times the 6 pickles they normally would put on would be 54 pickles. So I said how about putting the main 7 items but pickles instead. She said they don't substitute items and there were already that many on the sandwich. She then instructed the worker to count the pickles. Haha, yes she did! The worker proceeded to grab all the pickles off the sandwich and count them out in piles of 6 on one of the papers they wrap the sandwich in. Drum roll...... there were only 5 piles plus 3 extra. So I asked again for at least the 7 piles of 6 pickles. She instructed the worker to get 3 more pickles making it it 6 piles of 6 pickles. This is where I said this is BS! The manager said not to cuss and she could refuse service for that. Then she instructed the worker to put one of the piles of 6 pickles back which the worker did. I said "really?" She asked if I wanted the sandwich or not. I said yes. The worker dumped the pickles back on the sandwich. I then asked dir her to put lots of honey mustard on both sides of the sandwich. The worker did and i said thank you and turned and walked out without the sandwich. When the worker went back to get the manager she did not put on new gloves so who knows what she did or touched. Also you are never supposed to put food back into the containers. What if someone was allergic to wheat and she put the pickles back that had been on the sandwich? My son has allergies and that's nothing to mess around with. The complete lack of customer care/service or flat out friendliness still surprises me but shouldn't. So on a positive note. I then drove to the Subway off Ford in Redlands. The gentleman there was very nice. He stated he was there for the customer when I asked for the amount of pickles. Went to this subway in the Vons center after forgetting to get cookies from the Calimesa Subway. Service was friendly and they did have the cookies I wanted but while waiting to pay for them there was a worker behind the cashier who had a cart with inserts and pans. Well, he dropped a couple of the lids on the floor and in my astonishment he picked them up and put them back on the cart as if the 10 second rule applied. Not a good impression. I always have a problem when I come here either the line is to long or the associates give attitude and they don't want to be there I believe the guys name was josh last time I went her was so rude. His facial expressions and his body language defiantly showed he did not want to be there. I've never had a complaint about subway I usually like it. Tonight was horrible. The lettuce tray looked like it was sitting there all day it was very low to the bottom with olives and red onions in it. I asked the guy Christian if he could get the lettuce from the other side because the lettuce he was putting in looked nasty he said he can't because his manger said it's wasteful. So what he did was pick out the onions and peppers out. Then he was putting the wrong items on the other sandwich we ordered all he was doing is looking at a girl in line. So my previous review of this place was taken down because the owner cried like a little girl. SO ATTENTION YELP: I am not calling the "employee" any names in THIS review, so do your job and keep a real customer review up. Why a one star? This is the worse Subway I have ever been to and my experience was so horrible that I will never eat at another one again. I am a vegetarian, so if I am going to pay nearly 7.00 for six inches of bread and vegetables, there better be a significant amount of veggies. The person serving me was slow as hell, to begin with. It took them 8 minutes to make a single sandwich (yes 8 minutes, I noted my watch when I walked in). So when he was making my sandwich he literally put three pieces of onion and three pieces of bell pepper on it. I asked for more, and he added 2 more tiny pieces. I told him to stop being ridiculous and make a real sandwich, to which he said no and informed me that the owner is making him to "portion control". I told him to either pile it on, or throw the sandwich away and throw $7.00 down the drain over a handful of vegetables. He still refused so I walked out. This place has a ridiculous business model and that kid working there was rude. Also, he looked unsanitary and dirty (Look Yelp, not an insult to him, this is relevant because this is a place that serves food and dirty people shouldn't handle food) and I saw hair on the food prep area. I don't know what is wrong with the workers here but they do not know how to follow directions. I order my sandwiches online. 3 sandwiches, all the same size, 2 of 3 were the same bread and same type of sandwich just a few different toppings. One of the same sandwiches had toppings added that were not asked for... not just one topping like 3-4 added that weren't asked for! What if someone is allergic to something and then the workers are careless and just add those items not okay!! No one wants to pick all those items out of their sandwich either. AND none of them were toasted!! They never toast our sandwiches when we order them online! Why is that? I just don't get it! seriously disappointed in this locations lack in effort and pure carelessness. I even had 3 cookies in my order that they didn't put in the bag, I looked in the bag right before I left the store and realized. I used to love this subway. We have eaten here for years sometimes weekly. Lately they never get our order right, ever. I order through the app Because its easy and convenient and we are always busy and it always has good deals but there is something wrong every single time. I placed my order for a 6foot sandwich a week early for my daughters birthday party! When my fiancé went to get the sandwich they were extremely rude and gave him a hard time to pay for it. When we got the sandwich home we noticed they put all the spreads on the sandwich instead of on the side.
