I liked the ambiance of the Yucaipa Dairy Queen given the faerie lights outside and the tables. Indoors the store has a lot of seating. The drive through service looks to be about as fast as walk in service. I enjoyed my ice cream dessert after a long day. I came in today excited as usual to get some ice cream with my family. I always look past how unclean this particular Dairy Queen appears because of how much joy ice cream brings my family. This DQ is very busy... always understaffed, you have to wait a very long time to place your oder. You would think the manager would schedule accordingly, oh wait, that would mean more payroll, can't do that! I ordered a banana split, but if you want whip cream and a cherry it's extra...LOL! Isn't that part of a banana split? Oh and the boat is so small the bananas don't fit in it...LMAO... REALLY? And remember when you would get three scoops, not any more, only two scoops now. I absolutely love this Dairy Queen that's so close to home! I always get their Banana Split blizzards and they don't disappoint. Delicious consistency every single time! Drive thru is the ONLY option I would recommend as this spot tends to attract customers with a bit of smell and... let's just say, not the best of ideas if wanting to use their restroom. Service is always spot on every time we have a DQ craving. Staff is wonderful, fast, and I've never had any complaints (again, we ONLY do drive thru and never really go in). Was about 18th in line for ice cream since everything is drive thru it took around 30 min. Few items sold out. My problem was the tiramisu shake I got was very milky and had little tiramisu flavor. I won't stop going here but that was a sad day for a shake. read more

I was excited to use a coupon I got in the mail for a buy any size blizzard for $1.99. I ordered a large chocolate brownie blizzard. I get up to the window, and he takes the coupon and says "you need to buy two blizzards for this coupon to be accepted." I asked him where on the coupon that it says that (because it doesn't) and he replies with "I'm not sure, everyone gets confused when they try to use it, but you need to buy two." First of all, why wasn't I informed I needed to buy two blizzards in the drive-thru while I was ordering, I mean if "everyone" gets confused? Second, this is a form of false advertising. The coupon clearly says BUY ANY SIZE BLIZZARD for $1.99p. Nowhere on the coupon does it say anything about having to buy 2. So my bf ended up ordering a blizzard to make the coupon valid, instead of the dipped cone he originally wanted. So our below $5.00 dairy queen trip turned into almost $9.00. Thursday March 16 2023 3:30pm The workers COMPLETELY ignored the long line of people inside the store. Many gave up and left. The male employee (white, with a light brown afro) ONLY took orders and served food to the drive thru. He moved VERY slowly. In the 20 mins I waited inside, he only served two cars. The female employee (white, bleached blonde) served one elderly woman in front of me in 20 mins. The elderly woman said she was charged double for her order, and the female worker denied it. Maybe the worker is pocketing the difference? Then I was first in line, finally, but the female started texting on her cellphone, then disappeared into the back. I stood there 5 more mins then she came out, and asked me what I was waiting for. I responded, "To Order?" She didn't understand. I repeated. She looked at me blankly. made the drive over to DQ with the wife for an evening treat. She ordered the hot fudge sundae and I ordered the strawberry sundae AND the peach cobbler blizzard. Both sundaes were delicious. The peach blizzard had very little flavor with chunks of something in it. It wasn't peach because again, no flavor. Fast forward when I got home and the stomach pains started. I woke up several times last night with the stomach pains which resulted in several trips to the bathroom. I won't go into detail suffice to say I lost weight I attribute the situation to food poisoning by the peach blizzard. Within the last two months I came to the store, obviously it is a hot day and we ordered blizzards. I called The manager right away because you were supposed to be able to hold them upside down, which is not an expectation that I typically hold them to, but the consistency was more like a very watery milkshake. I didn't leave a review then because the manager assured me that when I came back it would be replaced. Here I am, asking BRANDON to Look into it because the manager at the time said he would definitely write my information down. Brandon said that there is no Way this is possible because every single person that has complained has come back within the next day or two for their replacement LOL when I asked for his corporate number And managers info - He said there is no district that they report to, that apparently other entities actually call in to THEM - And that there is no one above him. So apparently he manages two stores and he is also the owner? I find that incredibly hard to believe . I don't go to Dairy Queen very often even though I really enjoy your soft serve ice cream. But, we were in the area and wanted ice cream for dessert. Not only did we enjoy our ice cream but the staff was fantastic. The guy on the register was efficient and friendly. The two other guys making the food and ice cream were working hard and getting the orders out super quick. Service at fast food locations is generally pretty poor but these guys were doing a great job! read more

The drive thru is pretty awesome! The view is nice while you wait. The line was pretty long so there is a wait but it is nice that you don't need to go in to order. Got the wonder woman cookie collision- combining brownie dough, cookie dough and fudge it was pretty good. One of our favorite locations for DQ! read more

The only reason I gave Yucaipa DQ a one star is because there wasn't a "no star" available. I've been to Dairy Queen's across the US and this is by far the worst one ever! This was my fifth and last time here, and each time my order was made incorrectly. This is sad because I grew up enjoying a trip to DQ. read more

Over all it was a good ice cream only down fall was the line was super long and the wait was super long as well. They have a posted sign that says highing so they might be down staff. The girl was very quick to take my order but sounded super out of breath so she might have been running around the store. The inside is closed to the public looks like they are remodeling? Worst service from Hannah . I had a comment to make regarding my two previous visits to DQ . She was very rude and acted as though I had no right to comment ! I asked for her name and she said why did I need to know her name . My bf had never had an orange Julius so I told him we have to get him one. Drive thru line was too long so we went in, this location has the nicest team working! You can clearly see they're busy/running around and we were greeted with smiles, the guy at the register (I wish I would've gotten his name) so friendly! This is at the Yucaipa location. Yes, a bunch of kids work there. All workers either need to be fired or trained better to not give you watery ice cream. I say fired because you know exactly what you're doing when you give watery ice cream. You definitely need better workers or someone to hold them accountable for poor service. The girl purposely did not flip the ice cream because she knew it wasn't solid enough. They could have easily turned us away and said we're too close to closing, then it wouldn't have been an issue. She even asked us if someone said last car, or something like that, but we didn't know what she was talking about. The other workers in the back said no to her question, since we didn't know what she was even saying. That could have been her out, to say we're closing shortly and gave us a choice to get watery ice cream or go elsewhere. We had to go home and put the New York Cheesecake Blizzard in the freezer to harden it up. The sad part is we don't usually go to Dairy Queen, but decided to go, not knowing the hours. Waited in line in the drive thru for 35 minutes only to realize people inside were getting in and out in less than 10 minutes so we ultimately decided to go inside. Ordered our blizzards and when they came out all of them were extremely melted and just thrown on the counter, none were flipped and the worker just put them down and ran to the back because he knew how bad they were and if they were to be flipped they would've spilt everywhere. Very disappointed with the customer service by the whole team as no one decided to offer to make us new ones even after we had to ask for napkins and lids to help clean up the mess they had made from melting over the top. At that point we just decided to take them and freeze them for the next day as it was pretty clear the staff was trying to avoid us and weren't going to make us new ones. read more
