What stood out most was the attitude. No smile, no friendliness, no effort to make customers feel welcome. Everyone behind the counter looked like they didn't want to be there. I've been a Starbucks Gold member since high school, almost 25 years now, and this was one of the least welcoming Starbucks experiences I've had. Customer service doesn't have to be over the top, but basic kindness and courtesy go a long way. Note to the district manager, check in on your employees.

She informed us there would be a 20-minute wait because she needed to help other customers, despite there being only three other people in the store, none of whom were waiting to order. When we said we'd rather leave, she reversed course and explained she actually needed to prepare samples for other customers first -- a detail she hadn't mentioned initially. The interaction felt dismissive and disrespectful, particularly toward a senior customer, and I found the lack of transparency frustrating. Having worked in customer service myself, I was surprised by this level of service at a company that prides itself on the customer experience.
