We stopped here while traveling through Williams and had one of the most uncomfortable customer service experiences we've had at a Subway. My family does not visit Subway often, so we were simply answering questions as they were asked and trying to work through the ordering process. Instead of being guided through the order, we were met with impatience at nearly every step. When I realized I had forgotten to select cheese after my sandwich had been placed in the oven, the employee became visibly frustrated and scolded me for not mentioning it earlier. When I mentioned lettuce, I was sharply told to wait until we got to that part of the order. Throughout the interaction, every hesitation seemed to be met with irritation. The employee's tone, facial expressions, and overall attitude made it clear that we were inconveniencing her simply by ordering. The experience became so uncomfortable that I eventually stopped trying to customize my sandwich and completed the order without even choosing a sauce because I just wanted the interaction to end. What bothered me most was seeing the effect it had on my son. He is naturally shy around strangers, and by the end of the order he was visibly uncomfortable, avoiding eye contact, and clearly embarrassed by the way we were being treated. The food was fine. The customer service was not. As travelers passing through town, we expected a normal sandwich order. Instead, we left feeling rushed, unwelcome, and embarrassed. read more

Very, very rude female staff last night. As soon as I walked in the door I was greeted with a employee yelling at me " if you are here for subway or will be at least 30 minutes " When I expressed the fact that they are continuously unwilling to serve food late at night I was told they do not serve "the bar crowd" " the employee was cleaning restrooms and could not be interrupted" So I bought a prepackaged subway sandwich from the cold case and was the worst sandwich ever!!! Inside the Loves Travel Shop, as is a Carl's Jr. We didn't have energy to really think much after 36ish hours on the road, so instead of something new we settled on Subway for our first meal in Williams. We both got our standard sandwiches, mine being a spicy Italian on white bread with American cheese and mustard. The restaurant was clean, employees were friendly, and the restrooms were kept up. I came in, craving my annual sandwich. No one was at the counter (which isn't unusual), but when the lady came out a few minutes later, you could just see and feel the anger coming off of her. She was speaking quietly and wouldn't look at me. I asked her to repeat herself and she was rude, with her tone and attitude. This subway is wonderfully convenient for those staying in Williams who want to get to to the Grand Canyon early for hiking. They are open 24 hours, so you can get your sandwich and be on the trail by sunrise if you want. They were very generous with the toppings and even offered to wrap our foot long sandwiches separately so we could have one for lunch and one for supper (we kept them on ice) without the sandwiches getting soggy and messy. My only complaint is that they were unable to take my electronic gift card. read more

We were a family of 16 and only a 4th of us wanted subway. There is a Carl's Jr. right next door so the remaining 12 went there and waited in line. We only had 3 additional guest waiting before us with maybe 6 sandwiches total to make. Guest at the Carl's Jr. that had a much longer line and in addition our 12 family members were served quicker than we were and we arroyo the line much earlier than they did. The food was good and the place was open 24 hours which was very convenient. I am giving a bad review because I had terrible customer service. I was assisted by Tina. At first I told Tina I wanted wheat bread and as she reached for it I changed my mind and said I preferred flat bread. Wow the dirtiest subway I have ever seen. Lots of cross contamination with the toppings, the cutting boards were not wiped, and the young teen seemed like she didn't want to be there. I ordered a salad and she was going to mix it in this black salad bowl that was dirty! I told her to just place the condiments in the togo container. Thankfully my food didn't touch the cutting board. I also had to ask for her to get my toppings from the section that wasn't used yet because the other side was a complete mess!! It was disgusting! At the register was a sweet older lady and I quietly pulled her aside and told her that I have never seen a Subway food chain this dirty. I have managed many restaurants and worked in the industry for many years. Every health inspection I have excelled so I know what I'm talking about! So I was shedding some light to the lady of what I was observing and made a few suggestions and told her this is a violation of health codes. She then quietly told me that for as long as she worked there, they have never had a health inspection!!! I could not believe it! I paid for my salad and literally threw it away! I really hope that she just wasn't aware that inspections did take place but in either case, the area where food goes was just concerning enough! I decided to come here for lunch before heading up to the Grand Canyon on a Friday afternoon, since it was across the street from my hotel. Subway restaurants is known to be the anti-fast food nation, promoting healthy eating and healthy lifestyle. For most of that, it's true. Heathy eating and a healthy lifestyle promotes healthy people and your outlook on life is better. Only thing is that Subway offers no so healthy options, but sometimes, you just need to cheat and have your favorite sub. Add bacon with your tuna sub? Yes! Have a spicy Italian footlong and add extra cheese and mayonnaise? Yes!! That helps with variety and value to your day, so it helps me with my choices with my food selection when I came here to Williams, Arizona. I noticed this Subway restaurant after driving somewhat aimlessly around town and thought that this was a good budget friendly meal option that was basically healthy, quick, and easy. Most of the time, if you see what you like, you just make a last second decision to get it instead of trying to find a more expensive sit down place. Often enough, subway is a great choice, not in terms of healthy choices, but they are budget friendly as well. The overall experience here at the Subway restaurant here in Williams, AZ was decidedly average. You're in and out in 10 minutes or less. I'm happy with what I had: footlong tuna with bacon. All of the veggies except jalapeños. Italian herb and cheese bread with cheddar cheese. This Subway restaurant is located at 1055 North Grand Canyon Highway, right off the I-40. This Subway location shares its space with a gas station mini mart and a Love's location. It's neat to see places like this, where two or more businesses share a common space to do business. Like many subway restaurants, they accept credit cards as well as cash. There is limited number of parking spots there to park and get your footlong on, but with the traffic coming in and out of Williams on any given day, parking should be a breeze. Nearby is a Jack in the Box and a McDonald's. Prices here is as uniform as I've seen them across many subway locations I've been too $5-$6 for classic footlong subs, $7 sometimes, since they're franchisee owned and operated. There are premium subs that cost higher too. My usual go to sandwich would be the spicy Italian, which normally is priced lower than the tuna, which is my 2nd favorite from subway. The service here is quick, friendly, and painless. You know what you want and you are getting a good value by going to subway. I enjoy Subway's fresh baked cookies, so I usually get 2, sometimes 3. This visit to Subway here in Williams, AZ is no different. I got the macadamia nut ones and it tasted so good! The Subway restaurant is clean and optimum for customer satisfaction. I know i made a better choice by coming here to Subway, versus fast food. Often times, I would opt for fast food or Subway, just because it's a cheap option for me while traveling and everyday life. At first I was a little alarmed to see the line of people in subway at 545am. I almost left when I saw they only have 1 working that early. I was amazed when within a couple of minutes I was next in line. The lady working (noah?) Is the best employee I've ever seen at any subway. She had 3 customers orders going at once without missing a beat and was changing her gloves and keeping the distance between us. One night I came in and he told a guy who was waiting in line right behind us that he couldn't order a sandwich because he was going to go on break, not to mentioned that this gentleman in line had already been waiting for about 5 minutes.
