Since I didn't go to their physical location - which looks like quite a walk from Georgetown - I have yet to see the inside of this place. It was clear that this is a destination for locals and by the steady flow of patrons this is the place to be. My service over these 2 days has been fantastic. Chelle handles the front of the house and Drae handles the back of the house for a winning combination. Chelle manages the dining room with patience and top notch customer service, even calling customers by name. She is the epitome of a professional, even under pressure with numerous orders coming in near closing. Drae is friendly and an accomplished cook and car enthusiast, as seen by the decor in the restaurant. There is always a comforting tune playing and the venue has scheduled events featuring local musicians performing at their building next door. It is obvious the there is a lot going on at Drae's Lake Route. Check it out when in the South Seattle area. You won't be disappointed.

I came about an hour before closing, so a lot of the empanadas are leftover from earlier in the day kept under the heat lamp rather than a fresh batch, which I can understand. So when I ordered one beef and one cheese, they were both tasty but a little stale than what you would get fresh. The owner also asked if I wanted a little salsa cup, which really added to the flavour of the empanadas. Next time I'll have to come much earlier for a better taste of the empanadas among the other dishes they have here. I plan to come back real soon, it's such a joy to support these small businesses out in South Park.
