I haven't been to Subway much in recent times as I find Jersey Mike's to be the best sub in town these days. I was at this Subway location some months ago and asked about a sandwich called the Cold Cut sandwich and I asked what was on it...the person behind the counter ddn't know what was on the...what the heck???!!! Fast forward to earlier this week...I went here for lunch and got a tuna sub. There was barely enough tuna on this sandwich to cover the bread. If I wanted a lettuce and tomato sandwich I would have asked for it!!! To add insult to injury I asked how much it would cost to add some tuna. They wanted two more dollars to put some more tuna on the sandwich. Needless to say I do not recommend this location. Maybe my experience is a sign of how Subway is running their business throughout all their franchises but I was not at all happy with my recent experience. read more

Came with a very large group on the way to a field trip. The workers were so nice and willing to accommodate multiple wheelchairs in the small space. They gave everyone a free cookie and we so so kind. Can not recommend this Subway enough for their generosity and accommodations. read more

After driving to the location and back during my lunch hour, I was amazed to find two sandwiches filled with onions. Unfortunately, onions are the most prominent item on both sandwiches as they absolutely put next to nothing of substance on the sandwich (see pictures below). When I called the store, the person with whom I spoke argued with me that I did not specify any onions. So incredibly friendly here. Every time I go in, I am greeted with a big smile and hello from everyone that is behind the counter. Store is very clean. I never get any pushback when I ask for extra of any ingredient like tomatoes or olives or whatever. They gladly give me extra and are not stingy about it. Some Subways you go to and you say something like extra olives and they'll grab three more and put it on reluctantly. It's my favorite Subway and I'll often drive an extra 10 minutes to go to this one over another one closer by because of how friendly and generous they are. I also almost never give reviews. Hadn't had Subway in a while so stopped in while driving by. Pretty much your average Subway. I will say, like other reviewers mentioned, the workers did seem a bit standoffish. There was a lady and a man. The lady was nice. The man was nice too (very short spoken, probably heard 5 words from him the whole time), but again, just seemed a bit unhappy to serve you. Hmm.. So there's a big sign inside that says 2 regular foot-longs (which is what we got) are $5 each after 4pm, but we were still charged full price. My friend paid, so I didn't realize it until we drove away unfortunately. I had what I think was the manager make my sandwich, and he was so sloppy - slapping the meat all over the place, not listening to a word of what I was saying and putting toppings on as he pleased, haha. I hate to even give this place one star. Owner/manager was rude and arrogant.. completely unapproachable. I went in to order the spicy italian. Told him I did not want salami on it, only pepperoni. I do that at every Subway I go to with no problems. Apparently it's a problem with him because he told me it would be $2 more. Nothing like a little midday snack ---- Jarrod style!! While a foot-long sub is usually my preference, I decided to partake in half that and go with a 6 incher. This, apparently, meant that I would only receive half the normal service. To be fair, I've frequented this location and it is typically a "foot long" experience. I'm used to being greeted as I walk in the door, I receive smiles as the fixins make their way into my bread, and my checkout experience is usually accompanied by some funny chatter with the manager/owner. Today's "6-inch" experience was not horrible. I received my food quickly and was in and out expeditiously. It was just a very faded experience. No energy. And the manager must have been frustrated by the fact that his credit card machine was on the fritz because the friendly banter was absent from the transaction. Dear Higgins Road Subway Staff: I'd suggest a shot of Red Bull before the lunch rush to keep things lively. Don't be afraid to smack your co-worker on the heiny to pep him up (I'm told if you say the words "Good Game" after a rump smacking, that it's all good!) Good service & staff at this location. The one thing I would like this location to improve on is providing customers with fresh baked cookies. Bought chocolate chip cookies from here multiple times and the cookies always taste hard, like they were from the day before. They need to provide cookies that are soft. I just reviewed my favorite Subway, so I thought I should review my least favorite Subway too! This one wins that award hands down. The staff always has some sort of issue making my sub. One time the sub was put together poorly so it was a mess trying to eat it and the whole thing fell apart, another time they put green peppers on it when I didn't ask for them and then looked irritated when I asked her to take them off, etc. Is it really that hard to make a sub? Also the owner doesn't seem very friendly and is it really that hard to believe I don't want chips and a drink with my sub?? And yes I'm sure I don't want a cookie. This place is always packed but I'm guessing it's because of a great location. One perk: they have the falafel here! Yum. read more
