The interior decor can be described in one word: Dude! There are a handful of tables inside and a bar where beer on tap is served. As a first-timer, the young woman at the register was friendly and helpful in helping me make decisions after being overwhelmed by their large menu. So many choices! I decided on the Acapulco Gold: BBQ chicken breast pieces, Swiss cheese, lettuce, tomato, pickle, and dressing. It usually comes with onions too, but I asked that ingredient be left out. She guided me to try it on garlic bread, which was a wise choice (thank you), and her finger measurements helped me decide on how big a sandwich I should get. I made it a combo, which came with a bag of chips and a fountain drink. The sandwich was messy but, as is often the case with messy food, it was incredibly delicious! All the flavors melded well together. Every ingredient tasted so fresh, especially the bread. This is THE place to come if you are craving a sandwich! Note: street parking or pay in a nearby lot

But what really made me fall in love with this place are the drinks. In true stoner fashion, there are excellent drink options. Kool aids, sodas, and lots and lots of iced tea options that are all just begging to be mixed together to make the perfect beverage fit your vibe at that moment. Personally, I chose the Strawberry Dragonfruit tea which was very lightly sweetened, a splash of black tea. I could have been more adventurous and added some sprite or whatever the lemon lime stuff is for the bubbles... but another day.

The restaurant itself is what I would consider a hole in the wall, which I love! Seating is pretty straightforward and you can grab chips or a drink from the refrigerator. This was my second or third time stopping in and I still had some questions that the folks behind the counter were happy to answer.

The staff were friendly and attentive, even though they were busy getting the orders out. There was a steady line of people picking sandwiches up that they had ordered and people coming into order a sandwich so I felt good about where I was going to eat as popular as this place was, I ordered a roast beef and Swiss on squaw bread. With a side of macaroni salad the wait wasn't too long. I got my sandwich and salad and headed out back into my truck and the sandwich was a good meal. The Mac salad was tasty and fresh. Definitely want to come back again when I'm working in this area and try out another different sandwich maybe invite some friends if they're open on weekends and chill out on the patio area it's near the RCC campus

Right when we walked in the door, we were hit with the smell of freshly baking bread. We ordered a variety of items from a chicken salad salad, a tuna salad salad, a tuna salad wrap with avocado, a toasted grilled cheese and a turkey avocado sandwich on a croissant. The stars of the show may have been the potato salad and the pasta salad. All and all everything tasted fresh and delicious. My 4-year-old picky eater requested we go back the next day and that's how I knew it was top notch. As if this place couldn't get any better, we had impeccable service from the husband and wife owners each day. They informed us they've been in business over 25 years and the long line developing behind us was a testament just to house special this place actually is. Definitely give this spot a try!

The next time I came in but I never returned today I was craving a delias grinder ....when I called in the phone service was old school professional, not what I'm used to anymore. And when I got to the restaurant, the woman that it helped me. And cashed me out was extremely hospitable, respectful and treated me like a freaking customer. (: We were very grateful for that. I got the Italian Grinder with no red onions and substituted the ham for turkey. I chose the pasta salad as my side, and the sandwich also came with some kind of vinaigrette. The flavors were good, but I think the bread started to come apart near the end, and I personally wish the red peppers had more of a pickled aspect! I also got the Lemon Cheesecake Bar (?), which was yummy, but it does have nuts on top. I think a crumble topping would be even better instead. (: The inside feels a bit dated, but the employees definitely seemed to be keeping it clean. As customers came and went, they cleared the dirty tables pretty quickly. Overall, I'd give this place a 4/5, but 5 stars for the accommodation. :)

There are cookies on this heated surface by the cash register and oh man they looked so good. My food was prepared really fast. I don't even like sweet potatoes and planned to give them to my coworker but they were so good. I ate my entire bowl and saved the cookie for later. Both were so tasty. Once again, I stand by claim that this is the most delicious sandwich there is! Specifically at this location, they have it down right. Of course the carrot, Daikon, jalapeno and cilantro with the fresh banh mi make this top notch!! Wowza!

Full disclosure: I'm always suspicious of places that straddle the "fusion" food fence. I find…read more"fusion" usually translates to smothering something in an off-the-shelf international aisle sauce or wrapping it in a tortilla. Now, let me be clear, this restaurant does NOT mention the term fusion - at all. However, their menu whispers, "Hey there..." Crispy pork belly, lomo saltado, spam and egg. And, oh, brothers and sisters, they have gotten as close to paying the proper homage to all fusion cultures as I've seen. SPAM AND EGG: I'm chubby so SPAM is like my kryptonite. I had to have it. This sandwich threw me for a look. I'm used to other places overcooking the spam. NOT so at C&D. The spam was juicy. The fried egg was fluffy. The spicy sauce was genuinly spicy. I loved it so much that I've had it twice in three days. CRISPY PORK: I love the Chinese/Filipino Crispy Pork. The pork was nice and juicy. The skin was crunchy. Really great flavor. The only drawback was my own fault...of eating it cold because I had to eat the Spam and Egg sandwich first. LOMO SALTADO: I've got this sandwich sitting on my counter calling to me, in the queue while I finish my 2nd Spam and Egg Sandwich. I will come back to this review later today to fill in this blank. UPDATE: It was good! The meat was soft and juicy. Not quite the lomo saltado meat or flavor I'm used to or would expect, so the sandwich's name is a little misleading, but the flavor is good nonetheless. VIETNAMESE COFFEE (Large): I liked it. Yep. Not as overly sweet as I'm used to at Mr. Bagguette in LA, and that's a great thing. The only drawback is that it has a caffeine KICK. I felt the caffeine flowing through my veins 10 minutes after I took my first sip. Bread: In banh mi, the bread is the make-or-break. Here, the bread is not your typical medium to hard crunchy exterior and soft interior. The bread is on the softer side on the outside. It is a great change in pace for me because I haven't cut the top palette of my mouth like I usually do with harder bread. AND...that means that the sandwich doesn't lose it's character when I ate the sandwich cold later. STAFF: Very friendly! They are there to serve the customer. I've been greeted with a smile and genuine happiness. Great work C&D. You have a customer!
