1 star. Writing this to warn people, not to vent. I don't usually leave reviews, but I saw something today that other customers need to know before they eat here. I went in around 10am, right after opening, planning to grab a sandwich, and used the restroom first. There was dried (not fresh) diarrhea on the toilet seat and wall, and dried vomit on the toilet and floor, meaning this had clearly been sitting there since before the store opened. There was also what appeared to be drug paraphernalia by the trash can. The sink looked like it hadn't been cleaned in over a week. When I stepped out to flag it to the employee, I got a clear look at the food prep area. The workstation was visibly dirty, and the toppings (lettuce and other produce) looked old and sitting out well past when they should've been. I'm not posting this out of spite. This wasn't a one off mess from a rush of customers, it was still there at opening, which means it's been neglected for a while. If a restroom is that far gone, I have no way of knowing what standards (if any) are being kept behind the counter where your food is handled. I left without ordering, and I'd encourage anyone reading this to do the same until this location gets inspected and cleaned up. read more

I came in a Sunday morning and had a small order. But it was fast and fresh. Everything looked clean.

If I could give this Subway location ZERO stars, I absolutely would. I ordered a cheese pizza through the Subway app, drove all the way there, and when I arrived they casually told me they had NO pizzas. I asked for a 6-inch sub instead--same price, same value--and they refused. I asked for a simple gift card so I could at least get my $7 back, and they refused that too. No food. No refund. No store credit. NOTHING. I was completely scammed. This is blatant FRAUD. On top of that, the employee I dealt with (wearing a mask and hiding behind it) was the rudest, most disrespectful worker I have ever encountered. He offered zero help, zero solutions, and zero professionalism. I demand to speak to the store manager about this situation, and I expect that employee to be held accountable for his disgusting behavior. I wasted my time, gas, and money. I will NEVER return to this Subway again. GIVE ME MY MONEY BACK. The management will get back to me with my refund. read more

This place needs to be shut down by the heath department. My friend asked the girl at the counter to please change her gloves since she had touched the computer with her gloves she said no and then told him she was denying service. He said fine and asked to do a survey so it was recorded. While he was taking the survey she called security and had him removed from the store. All because she didn't want to change her dirty gloves. He was polite and never said anything rude to her. He was professional and she was as rude and had hickys all over her neck which isn't very professional when you are in front of public. Went in orderd a sandwich, subway club on flat Bread. Employee asked if wanted provolone. I wanted pepper jack. she began putting on yhe cold cuts then cheese. I said needed roast beef, she said she was mak6the sandwich, The cheese looked like provolone, i daid i wanted pepper jack, she said that's what it was. I know what pepper jack looks like has bits and pieces of peppers. this was plane, she told me back off and don't touch glass as i was looking where the pepper jack was stored. i told her again I wanted the pepper jack not provolone, she claimed thats what she put on and she was constructing the sandwich. I canceled the order and left. Very unprofessional, rude. that person needs to be fired. This subway is better than others. Must be the owners. I've eaten here a couple of times. Nester service, equality of toppings and cleanliness. They also toast my sandwich the way I like it. Overall subway is ok but this location is excellent read more

I walked in and ordered a sandwich. Irene was toasting the sandwich and headed straight to the register to charge me. She typed and used the mouse with the same gloves she was making my sandwich. I politely asked if she could change her gloves before touching the vegetables and she asked why? I explained and she said no! This is what we do all the time. She then invited me to go to another location as she refused service. She then went to the register and started saying why would I touch the keypad if I was already logged in. She continued to grab a spray bottle with cleaning chemical next to the computer with the same gloves saying you see ? This is what we use everything is clean. She refunded me and called security to ask me out of the store as I was sitting completing the survey. Security person asked me out and I said I would leave the store as soon as I was done with my survey. She decided to call the Police. I didn't get the security guards name but this is not the way to deescalate what was being escalated by employee. Anyway. I left the store and got in my car to browse around for food when a police car parked behind me. They approached me saying I was giving everyone a hard time and that all the business there where owned by safety people and they got me banned from the plaza, not just subway. Police officer said I could get a fine and get incarcerated if I was ever seen in this plaza, all this for asking Irene to please change her gloves to make my sub. Irene was Unprofessional as well as the security person. This was so embarrassing and humiliating. read more

Can someone please put Paradise Valley out of it's misery and get new management here? This is the THIRD time in a row that my order was done either with lettuce and tomato, without "Jimmy" peppers or without any Jimmy peppers. What on earth do you have against peppers? We're in the Southwest???!!! This Jimmys is the only restaurant where I have to add my own cheese and veggies because their portions are as if we are in the Great Depression. New Management or get us a Chompies! That is $17 plus $22 plus $27 worth of orders gotten wrong! They are all clean. Nice folks that work here, but CLUELESS! Employees were not wearing masks..I asked them why they were not wearing masks..their reply was we are not required to wear them..They are hanging and talking over the sandwich board..spreading germs..I will not be returning to this Subway...the Subway on Greenway and 32nd st. were wearing masks..so I guess will go to that Subway. Beyond my usual "chains are chains" commentary, I will give this subway serious props. It's definitely on my list of top locations, and certainly the best I've been to in the valley. I grabbed the Spicy Italian on this specific trip and it was made fast and fresh. On par for what I expect from Subway. I give the guy working tonight major props, there was a huge line that never seemed to end but he kept his cool and did his best to crank out everyone's sandwich. There were even a couple of people in front of me who were snippy or pulled the ever vague "I want everything on it." with no further direction and he catered to everyone. Good service! read more

All Subways are not created equal. At this location in particular, the bread and the ingredients were so fresh. So fresh that the tomatoes had a nice crunch to it. There wasn't a spot on brown lettuce anywhere ... that was a little unfamiliar with me because I'm used to noticing a few brown spots on lettuce at many different locations. The bread taste as if it was baked right before I got there. It was perfect! I picked up a Subway Club sandwich on Italian Herb and Cheese with all my favorite fixings ... Lettuce, tomato, red onion, pickles, green peppers, banana peppers, oregano, pepper, oil and Subway Vinaigrette, mayo and spicy mustard. I got it toasted. I took a few bites the minute I got it and saved the rest of lunch the next day. It was just as good as it was during the first bite. I'd definitely visit again! read more

I love this location since there is never a time where I've come in and it was dirty. It is always clean and it is not far. The vegan options are nice. I takes about 3 minutes for me to walk to this subway from my apartment....and it is always worth it. The guys that make sandwiches there are the best in the business and they are always so friendly and polite. If you go late enough they will even give you freebies...because they are only going to throw them out anyway....so they just give them away. I went into Subway to get sandwiches for my family and upon walking in there were three customers including myself and we all had masks on. The two people that were not wearing masks with the two employees that were making sandwiches, leaning over open bins of food talking over the food which only means that you're spitting on the food because that's a fact. When you talk to you spit infecting all our food that you want to feel safe by. The one female employee was saying " Really... have you known anybody who's gotten Covid. Have you known anybody who's died of covid. This is been my choice to not wear a mask this whole time." SHOULD SHE REALLY BE IN THE FOOD SERVICE INDUSTRY AND REALLY SUBWAY... When we walked into Subway tonight to order and pick up sandwiches for dinner, the first thing we noticed was that none of the 5 customers in front of us were wearing a mask. I can't rate the food or service provided since we turned right around and walked out. I do not feel that it is the job of the teenage Subway workers making the sandwiches to enforce wearing masks, however we were just not in the mood to catch Covid tonight. It's a Subway. No need to comment about the food. But the servers, let's call them sandwich artists, are friendly and fast at this location, deserving of a review. I've come here for years. The faces change, but the service is quite consistent, indicating this franchise is well managed. I've also witnessed them using temperature probes on more than one occasion, testing the safety of their meats... reassuring. About to walk into The Oink Cafe next door? I went a few minutes before lunch time the other day. Their were only 2 employees, and were very under staffed. About 7 different customers walked in at once, and the 2 employees started filling up all of the veggies / meats / cheeses that they didn't have a good supply of. I would have thought they would have done that a litter earlier, instead of when 7 people walked in. I was second in line and it took awhile for the two people in front of me to tell the employees their order, and then pay for the order. I noticed that the lettuce didn't look fresh on my sandwich and that it was browning in quite a few spots. This Subway is not up to par with the other Subway stores I have been to. read more

Of course there seem to be a million and one Subway shops but I wanted to make special mention of the shop near Target, next to Paradise Valley Mall. I went there on Saturday to grab a quick sandwich on the go and they had a special on roast beef sandwiches on Saturdays and it was really good. The meat was cold and tasted fresh, the toppings were fresh and actually had flavor. The bread was very good, honey oat. And the service was surprisingly good. I was greeted as I walked in the door with a hello. I didn't have to wait. They were gracious and smiled at me, friendly, helpful. And when I left, they said goodbye, have a nice day.... I was shocked, I never get treated this well at Subway. My sandwich, I ate in the car, but it was very good. read more

Ugh. Worst sandwich ever! I usually go to this location because the employees are always really friendly and their sandwich artists are just that! Today, however, was an entirely different story. Looks like they've hired some new employees and Luc is anything BUT a sandwich artist! From the way he destroyed the bread to the way he placed the mayo/mustard on top of one another -- DOWN THE CENTER OF THE BREAD, NO LESS -- who does that??!!...someone teach this kid how to make a sandwich!!
