We stopped at this Taco John's when in Paducah for a weekend. It was a Saturday afternoon and it wasn't busy at all, so we were the only customers. We stood in the lobby for a few minutes before we were greeted and it was the manager who came up because the employees we could see were busy not paying us any attention. She took our orders and we talked for a minute and told us that they're collecting to help rebuild a church (church?) that was damaged in a recent tornado by rounding up our payment. I was intrigued by one of the local specials (a chicken ranch burrito, as I recall), so that's what I ordered, but with chips and cheese. Yes, Taco John's is known for their Potato Olés (ok, tots), but I prefer chips and cheese. Largely because if I have some Potato Olés I want to have MORE Potato Olés. The dining room was very clean and I was digging the overhead music (80s and 90s). The drink station could have used some attention. Our food deliver was about 8 minutes, and it was hot and accurate. I wasn't crazy about the ranch chicken burrito, to be honest. America's never-ending fascination with ranch dressing is crazy and I don't really get it, but I like it when well placed and the right quantity. This was a little too much ranch for my taste, but it was still good. I think next time I'll stick with my regular Taco Bravo. Add this to the list of Taco John's that I've visited! My search continues.
