I usually stop in for iced tea. Today the line was quite long, but I decided to wait because their ice tea is always fresh. While I was waiting, I noticed the girl at the counter had her hair back, hat on, but long hair hanging down on either side of her face. I was food prep for many years, and that's a no-no. After waiting 25 minutes in line, I told them (a young man appeared the last 5 minutes) that I just wanted a large drink, and he charged me. I went to the dispenser, and it was completely empty. I got their attention and asked if they had another in the back. They said no and just gave me a deer in the headlights look. I wanted a refund but figured that would even take longer. It seemed that most of the staff at lunchtime during our visit on a Friday were brand new, plus they were swamped with orders. A few mistakes were made on several orders ahead of ours, immediately caught and corrected, but it took a long time for our sandwich to be made and payment accepted. Our order was for takeout, but they didn't put our sandwich in a bag or give us napkins. We were rushed, so I didn't notice if there was a napkin dispenser at the tables. The young man behind the counter at 3pm on March 17th is officially the rudest server I have ever encountered. He came out from the back, walked up to the sink, washed his hands, and pretended I wasn't there. Then he walked over to the prep area, still ignoring me, and finally asked what I wanted. He was spectacular in his arrogance. A woman came out from the back who was relatively normal, but she wanted to spend her time telling the young man how a girl came in and asked about him. The young kid Zack was extremely rude to me, this was the second time. His tone of voice and delivery was harsh, condescending, controlling to me. I am 75 yrs old and I have never been spoken to in that manner. I was so angry and surprised by his manner, I left the store, completely amazed at what just occurred. I come up here camping regularly. Having a dinner from this subway is always something I look forward to. The staff is super nice and attentive. Everything is always clean and organized. And the ingredients are always great. On a recent visit the attendant even went out of his way to go grab a fresh uncut avocado for my sandwich. read more

This Mt. Shasta, CA Subway, is one scary location indeed! Subway, I have always found to have the freshness of their product, at the forefront! But not here, in this Mt. Shasta, CA location! I had asked the server if they had fresh Tuna available, as the Tuna in the case was obvious to the eye, dried out & brown in color. Yuk! The young man, nonchalantly replied, "No, that's all we got." Stopped in on my road trip and was shocked by how clean it was. I got a club sandwich and some cookies and I finished everything it was really good. The young girl who I assume was a shift lead or manager was very kind when she rang me up. And the two boys making the sandwiches were awesome very fast and nice to talk to. The sandwich was fine but I walked in on them yelling at a customer wanting something they didn't have anymore. It was all really aggressive and I was treated the same way. The employee started badmouthing him once he was gone. Really unprofessional and off putting. read more

I had lunch here on the day I went in for my driving test (DMV is only a few steps away). I was pretty happy with what I ate. I got a grilled chicken sandwich and it was tasty, exactly how I ordered it. Everything tasted fresh. There were 3 of us (me, Dad and my friend/neighbor). Our sandwich maker was a pregnant girl who had a really positive attitude. She got all the sandwiches made in a timely order and got everything right. She was kind of laughing and joking with us, but still got her work done. The place looked and smelled clean too. So I would say this is a good Sub shop. read more

Nice friendly staff at this location, they are conveniently located off of I-5. 5 of us went in for lunch on our way north on a Thursday. It was exceptionally clean. I liked that they had jalapeño and cheese bread, which is hard to find in some of the subway locations these days. We shared 3 footlongs among us. Came to subway. Nice clean place very nice employees but the manager Melissa is NOT an asset to the business. She throws customers bread to there sandwiches around not even landing on the prep area, yells at her employees like she is queen of subway, and doesn't listen well to the customers requests. If i based me coming back solely on the way she threw our sandwiches around landing on places they don't belong I would never return. But the other employees were nice, caring and gave us hope that this place is a location I could return too. read more
