Fast forward to us stopping here for a quick bite on the way to our destination and I figured I'd try it again even though Shake Shack is what I usually choose at rest stops when available. We stopped here on a Tuesday afternoon on the way to PA and Paul S. helped take our order. I ended up getting the chicken sandwich deluxe and was so blown away! Completely different sandwich and experience than the other one I had. Topping it off with Paul's recommendation for the honey roasted BBQ sauce *drool*, some lemonade (with real lemon pulp!) and their waffle fries, I became an instant fan! The food court is pretty clean and open. There are table and booth seating and it usually isn't a problem to find a seat. Now we stop here each time we head this way and I haven't been disappointed. Looking forward to the next trip!

We were warmly greeted upon arrival and seated at a high top in the middle of the room with views of the flat sceens. The place isnt too big, maybe 20 tables or so and a bar with maybe 10 chairs. Place is very clean. There was only one other party being served when we arrived at around 11:45. Our waitress greeted us and took our order. The room is lively which I had not noticed when we walked in. However, by the time our waitress brought our waters, almost all other tables were full and the volume was starting to get loud. At that point it was hard to hear the TVs. Within a few minutes there was a line at the door. The three people working the counter and tables were scrambling to keep up. They did their best, but if this is the normal lunch crowd, they could use some more help in the front of the house. The kitchen was keeping up but the food was sitting on counter waiting for pickup. Again, not the staff's fault. They were moving fast and keeping calm. There was at least as much orders to go as for inhouse. Kudos to them for their positive and friendly attitudes while getting slammed. Our burgers and fries came pretty quickly. Burgers are decent size (6oz) and cooked medium. I had blue cheese and George had cheddar. The fries were perfectly cooked and seasoned. Although they have a full service bar, it was too early to enjoy. I will definitely return with my family. Very decent food and service.

I drove for 10 minutes and once I got to eat my food it was still piping hot and super fresh. I would def poke those vent holes open if you're going to eat it any later than that. I do not understand how so many hot chicken places will drown their chicken in hot oils, seasoning powders and so on and they're still bland! The sandwich also has a reeeeally good bun and the sauce they put on it was perfect. There's many components to a good hot chicken sandwich and HDHC does it right!
