There were no seats at the highly touted back room, with a view, so we decided to sit at the bar...excellent decision. BTW, the view at the back area is not worth getting stressed about. However, it is a great area. Our bartender was Marissa; she was great. When in Rome...we both decided to get the whitefish. Mine was just the regular seasoning and my wife got the scampi version. Both were very good. We both had one of the Vierling's brews (cant remember which one) and we both enjoyed it. Vierling also has a blueberry brew and blueberries are actually dropped into it before served. We may go back today just to try it. It was a great experience and struck up a conservation with a young local. He wrote down several recommendations for us, including Black Rock Brewery and Portside, which deserve a review. Unfortunately tonight I didn't get here early enough so I sat out by the bar, which is absolutely fine. I started with a French onion soup, which I normally do when I'm here, tonight it was a little less oniony than it usually is, but that just could simply be a function of whoever was ladling it up. It's still absolutely delicious. For dinner, I had the chicken piccata with a baked potato and steamed green beans. The steamed green beans are a staple while there are a variety of other sides, such as onion rings or Alfredo, etc. I was a little disappointed in the piccata this time. It was less lemony and more oily than I remember. The lemon wedge helped, but I don't think that piccata would have to need additional lemon to the sauce. The green beans also a little heavy on the butter as was the baked potato. I don't want to say that the meal wasn't flavorful, because it was and my server while really busy was an absolute gem, only that it was a little heavy with the melted butter. After many excellent experiences here, this won't turn me off to coming back again and trying something else. Especially if I can get a table in the back!

I've eaten these many times and they're generally awesome and hearty. The burritos I got were not only underwhelming but offensively short changed. This is the "loaded" breakfast burrito. 570 calories with eggs, cheese, bacon, ham and sausage. My burrito came with maybe two of those things? The image here is halfway through the burrito. The first half was a rolled up tortilla and nothing else. There was no ham or bacon to be found at all, and there was about a 1/4" piece of sausage at the absolute bottom of the burrito. The second burrito had no bacon, ham or cheese and had only about a 1/2" slice of ham, similarly oriented on only one corner of the burrito. What I want to know is, was this because of A. Employee negligence or improper training (my guess is no), B. The store location making up cost on a BOGO deal by asking employees to short the product or, C. Shrinkflation at the corporate level. I don't know, but what I can tell you is that I'm massively disappointed and cannot recommend eating here. Edit 10/12/24: I'll update this because it's the fair thing to do. Someone at Hardee's (corporate CS maybe?) called me about my experience. They told me there was a training issue and offered me two free combo meals and I think some added coupons as well, and told me they would have my name at the store to either redeem or pick those up. I wasn't about to be the guy that shows up to the store and says, " Hey, I left a 1 star review - can I have my free meal?", but it was good customer service for them to respond to me, so I wanted to give it a second chance. I ordered the same meal and paid for it without saying anything - I will say, it was an improvement on what I received from the last time, but I still feel it fell short of expectations. Reference points for those expectations? 1. Historic experience - is it consistent with prior orders, 2. Does it feel realistic that this meets the nutrition information listed on the website, 3. Does it match at least a loose approximation of the product images published on the website. On all three of these points, it fell short. I've updated my review from 1 to 3 stars because the food was marginally better and they made an attempt at customer service, which means they stand behind their product. Waived down an employee and was AGAIN told it would be "5 or 10 minutes". We were then told we could talk to a manager if we wanted a refund. If we hadn't paid using the app we would have left. To be fair, they were absolutely slammed and there must have been 10 cars waiting for their orders at the drive through as well as a few cars waiting for curbside. Poor customer service and probably work processes. Who's checking online orders? Why can't the app indicate longer wait times than usual? Did the employees actually check on the status of the online order? Hire/schedule more employees for busy times based on sales data. Telling customers it will be 5 or 10 minutes (multiple times) isn't helpful unless that is actually the wait time. Give the customer a coupon for their next visit.
