Incredible sandwich. I lived in Marquette in college and Togo's was a staple back then. A decade later and it's still just as delicious. Big menu, great selection of sandwiches, their cheesy bread is incredible and always soft, the ingredients are fresh, it's just an all-around great sub. And for the price, you can't beat it! Had a great chat with one of the workers there, seemed like a fun group to work with. Always love to see the college kids and locals in the shop, and the drive thru is super convenient. I was waiting in line and several workers looked over but never smiled or said hello. The cashier was very polite, and took a while to gather our order that several coworkers completed online. Overall I didn't feel welcomed, just another paying customer. It was a nice size shop that would be easy to hop in for lunch and dine in, but doesn't have a very warm and cozy feeling. The online ordering system is not ideal for ones that want to modify. Had one coworker that was disappointed she couldn't remove onions. The sub was very oily, and the bread fell apart, yes I ordered oil on my sub, but the bread didn't hold together well. There was a good amount of meat and toppings. The potato salad needed a lot of salt and pepper but the potatoes were cooked perfectly. I do wish the pickle was cut in half but that's just a personal preference. read more

This sub is a #8 which means it should have ham, bologna and salami on it. Not only are the meats razor thin (notice how they're sliced thinner than the piece of cheese) but there are only 2 meats not the 3 there should be. Pitiful amount of protein for a sub sandwich. My husband's sandwich was just as thin. For some reason my photos will not post. There were 2 meats (not 3) and they were thinner than the slice of cheese. Very underwhelming. read more

Togo's wasn't bad. Not a sandwich I would write home about, but it was edible. I think part of it is understanding their menu and customizing what's on the sandwich. I ordered the Italian, and the options that came with it- particularly the pickles, didn't suit my palate. On a future visit I'd pay more attention to whats included and make modifications. Employee that took the order was friendly and efficient. Customer area was very basic, there are a few tables, but it's definitely a Togo restaurant. read more

Best subs in USA. This Togos has been slinging great subs for over 45 years. Try the #19 or any of the Italian combos. Fresh and consistently tasty. I eat Togos wherever I find them from Marquette MI to Sacramento CA area. read more

The only downside is the breads are not really crisp Italian sub rolls found in big cities like Chicago. The bread is much like every chain sub shop. I go here anyway because of the memories it brings back as a NMU student. This one option, even if only one bread choice, would move this to the best sub shop ever. read more

This is a Marquette favorite and has been for many years. Staff works hard and are very polite. I can't quite explain why it is, but it's Subway 2.0 to this day. So good. The menu has many subs. Select your fav and customize. They're good with that. They have drive-thru, delivery or pick up. Order in advance during busy times. My only suggestion was that staff cleaned seats then tables with the same wet rag. Spray the tables and wipe clean please. read more

There is always some comfort in knowing a restaurant has been around for 50 years. It tells me they have done something right. In the case of my visit to Togo's, I'd say they are doing just fine. This isn't a cookie cutter, chain sub shop. It is an old school, big sub and bigger dessert store. Could it be a little cleaner, sure. Could the subs be better? I honestly don't know what they should improve on. I had the large Club on 3 cheese bread, classic style. When I was handed the sub, I was immediately impressed by the weight. This is a serious sub. The bread was tasty and the rest of the sandwich followed the bread's lead. No need for chips, this sub filled me up. My buddy finished his sub and picked up their chocolate chip bar. It was freaking huge. In my humble opinion, they will probably be around another 50 years. read more

The food was tolerable, nothing to write home about. The worse part of the last visit was not what we ordered . Received a Tuna sand that was half the size of the other large sand received. Called to get credit. NO GO ! They said they had to give to manager to do refund. So we waited a couple days nothing. Called back to remind. waited again, nothing ! E-mailed , Nothing ! Wanted to try something local as we passed through town. Ordered pizza sub. The bread is so huge it's hard to taste the ingredients. The mushrooms were bland canned mushrooms. Husband ordered the steak and cheese and was really disappointed in the measurements (see picture) would have been best with peppers and onions like most steak and cheese sandwiches. This was my husband's favorite sub shop in college, so I was super excited to try it on a recent visit to Marquette. It didn't disappoint!! I was told to order a large - which was way too big, but I ate it anyhow. I made my own sub with lots of veggies and Togo sauce. The Three Cheese Italian bread was the best sub bread I have ever had! These subs really are huge and they are super tasty. The shop is a standard sub shop - tables and chairs, plenty of napkins. They offer a pick-up window and delivery. This was a stop for food without having any food options around. The bread was very dry and I felt it needed grilling. I also felt the pastrami was very less inside. I could not feel the meat. The sandwich seemed very dry and I could not finish it due to the lack of filling and dryness. It is good to have when you don't have anything else open. read more

We were in town for a family funeral from out of state and hadn't had a Togo in years. SO Disappointing! We ordered 4 subs, and they were all wrong! My husband asked for extra mayo on his and got extra lettuce. My sister asked for extra lettuce and got a light glob of it in the middle of her sandwich that wouldn't cover the whole thing. My daughter ordered a turkey/provolone and asked for lettuce, mayo, and pickles only, and it had no mayo and was soaked in vinegar! It was inedible. Mine was the best screw up....I ordered an Italian chicken (hot) with only the chicken, cheese, sauce, and mushrooms. The guy asked me if I wanted double or triple the mushrooms, and I said double. My sandwich only had chicken and sauce on it. The staff in the back were too busy flirting and goofing around with each other, and obviously not paying attention and doing their job correctly. I mean, how can you screw up so badly on 4 subs?! It was a waste of my time and money sitting there that I will never get back. Definitely not the Togos that I remember. Second time to TOGOs in 15 years. Friends in the lower peninsula rave about this place. Like there is none like it anywhere in the world. First visit years ago, it was OK. This time, a different item on the menu "Mother of All Destruction". Wow, what a sandwich! TOGO's opened in 1964 and has been feeding the locals and college students ever since I love places with a worldwide chain of one. Fresh baked bread in house. Several choices of bread. Meats that are grilled on the flattop rather than the entire sandwich being toasted. Many choices to choose from. Many looked good. What did my traveling companion order? Tuna Salad..... Guess it was OK, tuna, mayo and spices. Wait times can be long, you can order in advance. If in Marquette, you need to try this place at least once. Togo's is the iconic sub shop of Marquette and has really great subs. The bread is really soft and fresh. Their Hot Pastrami and Classic Italian are my favorites. I have ordered from both locations, and they are both great. They can get busy at meal times and calling an order can get a bit frustrating if you're asked to hold. read more

I really wish I had something nice to say, we're not picky people and love small town places. The Italian cheese bread was decent, but cold, on my cold sandwich that was supposed to be hot. There was nothing enjoyable about this experience. The staff weren't friendly, it took 45 minutes to make 2 sandwiches for my husband and I. It was hardly busy, there was 1 other person in line when we got there, and two people waiting inside. The cashier was not helpful and we saw another staff member arguing with a customer about an order that was messed up. 45 long minutes later we got our sandwiches only after asking. They had been sitting on the counter in the back. Both were cold and supposed to be hot. We agreed we could have gotten a comparable sub at Walmart and skipped the 45 min wait. It did not seem like anyone was accountable in this place. I'd say I'd order drive through next time but - we won't be back! read more
