Filthy, dirty, smelly. An that was just the guy behind the counter. I know times are hard but there is no reason to go around smelling like you never took a bath or shower a day in your life. If it was the clothing that was that smelly and dirty. Wash it some way. I can not go to a place that has that smell. Workers are not given breaks and are expected to close the store off the clock. They serve expired food and the bins have mold in them...Instead of simply replacing them, they continue to use them. They also don't properly store the meats in the case. read more

I don't get the other reviews here... I stopped in at 8:45 PM with two young men working the restaurant. Restaurant was clean, incredibly easy to get to off of the interstate and I experienced none of the issues that other people have complained about. I had a chicken breast chopped salad. I get the same order all of the time. I had plenty of ingredients. In fact, I had to ask server to not put as much cheese in my salad as he had in his hand. Four stars is about as good as I give to a fast food style restaurant. I had a clean restaurant, courteous service and a good salad. read more

Another disappointing visit. I paid $7.75 for a fiotlong steak and cheese. I paid $3.00 to add extra steak. I've been here twice in a year and a half. Both times the "sandwich artists" were both unfriendly and unaccommodating. Yesterday was my list visit. When I asked for a lot of black olives, the girl put about five or six on. I asked for more and she put about five more. I asked for more a third time and she put about five more. I gave up. My 7 year old grabbed a cup and started putting water in it and a different girl wanted to charge me for the cup because it wasn't a water cup. I asked where the cup was for "just water" because it wasn't on the counter and she pointed to a space behind something that I couldn't see behind, on the counter. I said "give me one of those then." I called my son over, poured his water out of the Subway cup and into the clear plastic cup, leaned over to toss the Subway cup (with lid and straw in it because he began to drink already) and she said "give it to me" and set it on the counter behind her which left me with the impression that she was going to put it back into the cup holder, although I don't know what she really did with it. Repulsive service and I will NEVER suggest that place or return myself. read more

This has got to be one of the saddest subway restaurants I have ever visited in my life. I get the same thing all the time, a tuna sandwich with a bunch of spinach and vegetables. It's a pretty heavy sandwich that I have gotten in store after store after store. This place actually only puts four olives on their sandwich and then gives the excuse that olives are expensive. Well your salary is expensive! I'm paying eight dollars, eight freaking dollars for a sandwich, load that puppy up with some olives. It's the only subway on earth that follows the directions of how to make that sandwich. Yes, they have a sign up in the back that tells you how to properly make the sandwich. But this is Zthe only place that follows that rule. I just got another Subway sandwich from around the corner from my house yesterday and they loaded up so many olives on there it must've been almost a full can! And they did it because of what I said about the Manteno restaurant, the workers were like "oh, yeah them". I will never go back there to spend eight dollars for a piece of bread that was stale to begin with. Stay away from the Manteno Subway, it's worth it to go down to Bourbonnais to get yourself a real sammich! Say no to Manteno subway! One last note, I was about ready to slap that kid in the face because of his disrespectful attitude towards an elder. I would've gotten my rear end kicked in had I have ever spoken to an adult that way when I was a child, a teenager, a young adult. I would lay odds that if my grandmother were still here she would be giving me a tap on the back of my head if I said something out of line. Not sure why this place has all the bad reviews. The ladies working were pretty pleasant to me yesterday. They made my sandwich fast and the right way. Nothing bothers me more than a shitty sandwich artist. I am extra picky because I worked at one in my hometown through high school and college - sometimes I can't believe I even still eat at Subways. I've been to a LOT of Subways, I'm talking all over the country. This Subway by far is the cleanest and has the freshest food. The manager that runs the store remembers all the regulars and it has a very friendly vibe. The lobby is always cleaned and the tables are never sticky(which seems to be an issue with other subways). I'm very impressed with this specific establishment, the workers are friendly and make a mean sandwich. I definitely prefer this Subway to its other counterparts. I give it an A+ read more

This is by far one of the cleanest subways I've ever been too, their service is great and fast. I don't know what's up that guys butt but all you have to do is ask for more vegetables on your sandwich and they'll do it, I know how they work there they would never give you a hard time for it they have a formula to fallow and if you want more of something just ask.
