Subway is advertising freshly sliced meats, Lets set it straight Subway's fresh is slicing early everyday and then let sit in a container in the cooler in the front. I ordered a Turkey and Ham with the total weight of the meat about 4 oz on a footlong, 5 thin slices of turkey and 5 piece of ham slices thin enough you could almost see through it. plus I ordered a footlong Philly cheesesteak, it had about let's say 5 ounces of meat. I sat in the store and ate 1/2 of the cheesesteak and started talking with the people behind the counter about the sandwich's. I told them I hadn't been to Subway for 15 years because I would rather go to Jersey Mikes how they slice the meat in front of you so you know your getting a fresh sandwich. they ask me which was better and I told them Jersey Mikes is better. The sandwich's had so little meat i told them that they expect the customer to load up on lettuce, tomato, onions and other veggies to fill up the sandwich. by the way I forgot the cheesesteak is cold and cooked already and needs to be put in the over for a few minutes thats why they ask you to toast the roll do it can heat the meat. I ask the people in the store what happens when a customer doesn't want a toast roll how do they heat the meat, they showed me a rubber flexable tub they put the meat in to heat up. Very disappointed about how little the serving of meat was. Before I left the lady ask if i wanted any more meat and cheese, I said no thank you and left. I bet that the meat that isn't sold that day is used the next day and still said to be freshly cut. I'm sorry but Jersey Mike's is about 100 yards away from this store. 1 good thing is the store is very clean and organized out in the lobby. read more
