You could rely on the local specialities like snapper soup, mushroom bisque and the house-made crab cakes. All that is gone now. Now the 1906 menu is a sort of Whole-Food Nutrition and Macro / Fitness fusion cuisine. Simply put: very veggie, low fat, not particularly pathbreaking, and only modestly flavorful. I don't think Mr. DuPont would approve. The ambiance is lovely... but I considered the old restaurant to be a very tastefully appointed dining room. The food was classic diner food done really, really, really well--we ordered brunch and everyone was thrilled with their meals. The portions were on point and the execution of each dish was just perfectly spot on. It was a beautiful day so we sat outside (which is just tables looking onto the parking lot). My only complaint was there were consistently non-diner workers outside taking smoke breaks that wafted over, which wasn't pleasant...but not the restaurant's fault at all (just worth noting that you may want to sit inside if that sort of thing bothers you).

Great service, prompt food. Nice environment inside, very large space with booths.
