The service during this visit was amazing! The staff was so helpful and nice :) I went around 9 pm on a Sunday evening and the two employees (one young girl and another woman) really amazed me. I ended up chatting with them for a few minutes afterwards to and thanked them for their kindness. The food is always amazing and as expected of subway. Decided to stop in and pick up a sandwich to-go. After I got home, I noticed that they added on $1.61 tip- not cool. Buyer beware. Update- I received an email from the owner the next day. He explained that they do not have control over a tip on the other side of the register and said that I must have done something. Asked for a veggie sub, guess what... Actually got one! It was great! Everything I asked was put on! I'm not a big fan of sandwiches, but wanted veggies and was walking past. This is my neighborhood Subway and I find myself here quite often for lunch or dinner. The location is a small one with the counter taking up much of the restaurant. They have about 5 booths for people that would like to stay to eat. It's always clean. I'm impressed with all the sandwich artists- they are efficient, professional, and follow sanitary practices. The couple who owns this franchise often works the counter and is always friendly and smiling- they seem to take pride in their business. Subway in general is a great sandwich place. Usually a 6" sub is enough for a lunch or light dinner. Sometimes I have a whole footlong. On rare occasions, I'll get 3 cookies for dessert- they always are so soft and delicious. In Hawaii it's hard to find some fresh vegetables, but Subway always seems to have ripe and delicious tomatoes. I like the meat quality- both cold cuts and tuna. I also like their diversified and amble choices of sauces. You'll find me here at least once a week. read more

Solid sandwich but unfortunately the owner has set his prices a bit higher than locations that aren't in waikiki. I always thought that since it's a franchised chain that there was some sort of consistency with pricing but just like any other place in Waikiki they price gouge you due to their location so it's a big bummer, I only grab one when I'm in a rush otherwise I hit the one on king street where it's cheaper and honestly the people that work at that one are more pleasant. I had a large order of 12 sandwiches for a workshop and missed the deadline to order online for delivery the next day. She said no problem and allowed me to email the list to her. Subway Eat Fresh! Out of a bag?! That's where avocados come from it you ask for it on your sub. It looks like green baby food mush and they squeeze it out like poop. Not appetizing at all. It makes me want to donate avocados to them from my grandmas back yard so they can put it in my sandwich! Outside of the avocado gripe I always wonder of how many employees they keep back there, no matter how busy it is more employees come out to help customers as the line gets longer. You guys get stars for always moving that line but this is by far the most expensive subway on this island. There are no $5 foot long specials, its $7 and other specialty subs are $9-$10. Crazy! It's subway. It's "eat fresh." Except that their chicken is the icky mush that McDonald's chicken used to be. I want real chicken! I ate a bacon chicken ranch sandwich while very hungry, and was oh-so-pleased with the taste. But I think that's because it was drowning in ranch and the bacon was yum. The second time, I noticed her putting those sickly white pieces of chicken on my bread and they became foamy pieces of non-chicken in my mouth. Ew? Yes. But! You can get a footlong sandwich for only $6 and share it with a friend! Okay, so you might not be full, but you fed yourself for only $3. Pat yourself on the back and buy a white chocolate mac cookie (or double chocolate cookie, both are equally good). Do not get the marinara chicken, the marinara--which they get by dipping into the meatball container and fishing for left sauce--does not cover up the foamy chicken texture nor flavor. Not tasty! Overall, a sort-of quasi-healthy "freash" alternative to McDonald's. read more

If I could give this place zero stars I would. I live here in Hawai'i one street away and I tried to use the coupon which subway sent to me in here and I was told I could not. Problem being I have been sent this coupon before in the past from subway and I could at this location? So the lady said it was one of the ones they weren't taking but showed me the ones she was talking about and it's not that coupon so I told her this and she just was like I cannot take this and showed me the coupons they were so I asked her well is it possible to get the coupon where i would end to paying more but was told I wasn't allowed. Subway is usually always great. Especially after days of eating out, a nice fresh meal is satisfying. This Subway is very different from the one's back home in California. They had a great selection of chips too! Maui onion isn't always offered in California. HOWEVER, no $5 footlongs! It's $6! No fault of this particular location though. read more

My dryer broke down so I took my clothes to the laundromat in Waikiki next to the Hawaiian Monarch Hotel. I walked across the street and got a 12" BLT with Honey & Oat bread. I got all the veggies except the jalapeño. Overall, the BLT sub was Ono. But, the service was great as the "sandwich artist" that helped us was friendly and outgoing. This location is a short walk from my apartment, which makes it very convenient for me. The service and food is pretty much standard Subway.
