Five people working and the service was slow. My bread for my sub was rockhard on the top and chewy on the bottom.

Can't mess up too bad at subway. The five stars are for the manager that looks like the clown guy from the movie air bud.

I was craving Dairy Queen and was coming back home from a summer holiday weekend and found this…read morestop along highway 35. The reviews seemed harsh but I went hoping for the best. It's at the end of a court - annoying location if there is high traffic to try and get out. Let's try to be a little fair to the location and say it's understaffed like most fast food places are post COVID, those who are behind the counter are under-appreciated, and ...this is a high volume traffic location next to a major highway and down the road from a casino. However, like other reviews did say, it IS kind of gross. Bathrooms and tables aren't kept, and most trashes are overflowing. However, the food seem to be what I expected, the price was fair, and it didn't seem that sketchy. So if you're coming to this location and especially it's a high traffic time or during a holiday weekend - don't expect much except your chicken fingers and ice cream treat and move along. If you want to dine in - bring some hand sanitizer, wipes, and try to be kind to the three staff members behind the counter trying to just hustle with the rest of us.

Lobby was closed so we had to go to the window to get the sauce. Half way back to Duluth feeling sick and wishing we went somewhere else.

For generations, it…read morehas been a must-visit destination for travelers heading, making it much more than just a restaurant. It's a Minnesota tradition. As soon as I announced I was going to Hinckley everyone who had been told me I just had to try Tobie's. What makes Tobies special is the combination of comfort food, an incredible bakery, and the nostalgic feeling that comes with walking through the doors. Fresh-baked breads, pastries, pies, cookies, and their famous caramel rolls line the bakery shelves, while their signature cornbread is a favorite that many visitors take home. Be sure to browse the gift shop, where you'll find locally made products, snacks, and their popular popcorn blends that make great road trip treats or souvenirs. Whether you're stopping for breakfast before exploring the area, grabbing lunch on your way to a Hinckley Knights game, or picking up baked goods for the drive home, Tobies is part of the experience. Our favorites were the apple fritter and the caramel roll. We also picked up bread and English muffins. If we had any more room we would have tried the ice cream, but there is always next time.

We made our stop about 8am on a Sunday in June. We didn't go to the sit-down restaurant, just the bakery counter. We picked out an apple fritter, maple fried roll, and cinnamon roll. My husband had a coffee, too. I'm very glad they had napkins and also packaged moist towelettes for us to take as we headed out. Everything was quite good. The apple fritter was special because it was still warm, and so fresh that it still had an airy texture. The bite of maple fried roll I had was good. The bulk of the cinnamon roll was mine, and wow, it was fantastic. I loved the generous amount of frosting, and the bread was soft and good. There are many more things here I want to try, but they will need to wait for another trip north!
