That being said, the place is legitimately a great business within a small town that does not possess many options. First and foremost, these guys lead the way with a really nice beer selection. It does not remain static like many of their competitors' lineups. They often change their taps (something like twenty or more) and take chances with unique flavors. How many bars have a Salted Nut Roll beer? From a food perspective, I can say that while not having tried a ton, that which I have has all been on the better side. Daily specials and HH are also something to expect, with the former often as unique as you might get. And if you're in the mood for a good burger, I would liken Kev's to a Boulder Taphouse, all in ways similar to quality, portion, and creation. At the crux, though, are the staff and owners. They are great people that I consistently choose to surround myself with, hardworking, friendly and fun. It is a young atmosphere within a sports/burger-bar environment. One-hundred percent worth trying if you are new to the area or passing through town.

I thought the fries were a little soggy (literally the only negative) but they were deliciously seasoned. I had a shaved beef with Au Jus. Now I know that sounds dull but it wasn't! The roll was super-soft but lightly toasted with a buttery taste and the beef (I'm told by the VERY fabulous waitress) is sliced from their weekly prime-rib special. I had it with a slide of slaw and GOOD LORD they actually know how to make excellent slaw! Again - same fabulous waitress says that the dressing is house-made. It really, REALLY was good. Add three tap beers and our lunch was a sweet $33. I wish we had an easier more frequent reason to stop because the menu has me intrigued! I definitely recommend it!

Everything was ok -- filled the void -- but nothing to write home about. I still love the deck area they have, but must note it's a little odd, they have these huge tables with comfortable seating but the seating for smaller parties is a metal chair. He gave us a brief history of the bar, which is extensive. The Old Saloon has been around with the current name since 1975 (the building is a lot older). The current owner has been at the helm for 30 years! Obviously, he's knows what he's doing. The interaction left a very negative impression and took away from what was supposed to be a special evening. Based on this experience, I would not recommend this restaurant for special occasions. Their motto is "eat quickly and get out"
