We made our stop about 8am on a Sunday in June. We didn't go to the sit-down restaurant, just the bakery counter. We picked out an apple fritter, maple fried roll, and cinnamon roll. My husband had a coffee, too. I'm very glad they had napkins and also packaged moist towelettes for us to take as we headed out. Everything was quite good. The apple fritter was special because it was still warm, and so fresh that it still had an airy texture. The bite of maple fried roll I had was good. The bulk of the cinnamon roll was mine, and wow, it was fantastic. I loved the generous amount of frosting, and the bread was soft and good. There are many more things here I want to try, but they will need to wait for another trip north!

Sure, there's Franzia and Chateau-le-Shit if you want it but there was a plenty good selection of very nice bottles in the $10-20 range. If you're a baller, they even stock VCP champagne. Of course, there's plenty of beer by the 6 pack or case and again, plenty good selections too. (Including a brand called Good Ass Beer) I was happily surprised at the prices - they are about the same as my wine shop at home. If you're headed to points north and need a stock up, or you don't want to pay inflated casino prices (or suffer their terrible wine choices) this is a worthwhile stop.

I try to avoid beef but I'm not hardcore about it. The burrito was about as thick around as a broom handle. So not all that filling. It was filled with a brown goo which I suppose was bean? I couldn't see or taste any chicken but I didn't inspect all that carefully. The service was quick. The price was $11 and change for the burrito, taco and soda. For me as an adult male it was a light snack. When I went to check to see if they gave me a chicken burrito or not, I noticed there was no receipt. So the value was not great, the taste was bland and even though I asked for hot sauce (and it came up on the order board), none was provided. I was back on the highway so it was too late to circle back. To get a filling meal for me would seem to be ballpark $18-$20. Had to stop for more food about 10 miles down the road. I doubt I'll be back.
