I think as we get older maybe our taste buds change, but I can for sure say that this place is not the same White Castle that we grew up with. The first thing that through me off guard was the tone from the worker over the intercom. The sound came off as annoyed when we asked to just have a minute to look over the menu. With our family of five in the car it became clear we should go with the new castle deal of ten new castle sandwiches, 20 chicken rings, with a thing of fries. When we got to the window, just like the intercom, the same guy just appeared so annoyed and unhappy. We received our food within seconds after paying which we thought was very impressive. We pulled over into their parking lot and pulled out our food for the kids and ourselves. We noticed that the burger buns were so soggy which meant one thing. The food must be frozen......just like their grocery store items. I understand why the grocery store items are not the best from White Castle, but expect fresh food items when I go out to eat. Unfortunately due to the service from an unhappy worker and the lack of fresh ingredients we will not be returning to this White Castle. I will say the Chicken Rings were the best item out of everything. Even our one year old daughter loved them, but even still, that is not enough to win us over to want to return. HAVE AGAIN: Why, White Castle cheeseburgers with ketchup, of course. This is the first White Castle I've seen that is part of a gas station and not a stand-alone, well, white castle building. So, I missed it completely upon a late night arrival even though I drove right past. Luckily, they were open in the morning and so I had my cheeseburgers for breakfast. read more

My family and I just went through the drive through and I was not impressed with the service. The guy taking our order and handing out our food was VERY rude. We mentioned multiple times that we wanted ketchup multiple times and our request was ignored. We won't be coming back!!! read more

I have always gone through the drive thru at this location. Every time I go there seems to be a little bit of a delay. This most recent time was delayed as well. I was in no hurry so it doesn't affect my score. The food was exactly what you expect. It was consistent with other White Castles and I enjoyed it. They got our order exactly right. And the prices haven't changed much even with everything else going up in price so that was great to see. Overall I enjoyed my visit. read more

My Mom and I stopped here on our way home we went through the drive through after we placed our order i was asked to go to lane 2 to pay and get our order after ending my debit card though bank teller type contraption with a cup for payment and a basket for our order we waited at least 15 minutes while the 2 customers behind us got there order and left, I checked my acct and order was processed women at drive through did acknowledge me when she saw me so I waited a few more minutes and finally went in to get my card and to see about our order which was just getting done so after the total of at least 20 minutes and me going in we finally got our order and they had 3 cooks 2 working ordering and i think one more doing running I have ordered a crave case many times before from a different location and didn't have that long of a wait. won't recommend or go back I'll drive to Forest lake for White Castle read more

I was taken to White Castle in Minneapolis Minnesota when I was about 15 by my brother-in-law. I loved them. I have always bought them at Costco in Phoenix for our family. My son who is now 24 loves them. We made a trip up to Duluth Minnesota for the 4th. On our way back we stopped in Hinkley so my son could try them. He thought they were awesome. I love the ones with jalapeño cheese. I would stop there again. read more

Probably the cleanest and well-staffed White Castle I have been to. It is inside of a gas station, so the only seating is just 5 stools at a counter, but they still have a full menu. I grew up outside of Chicago, so we HAD to stop when we saw this location. Mozzarella sticks are the best here and I prefer my sliders with cheese :) The new chicken and waffles sandwich was actually pretty good. I couldn't eat White Castle every day, or even every season, but man, still so good! read more

This is a tiny White Castle but good. Service was fast and friendly. This place cooks the onions properly. I have had plenty of other White Castles that serve you under cooked onions on your burgers. This tiny white castle is located inside a gas station way back in the corner. They serve the full menu and the place is very well staffed for being so small. The highlight is the older lady at the cashier counter. she was SO polite! and not the fake sweet because the boss says you have to be like that but genuinely VERY nice. Not to mention she knew the entire menu in her head and ran the cash register with ease. The coolest part is while sitting waiting very patiently for my large order the lady gave me a cup and told me to get a free glass of pop while i was waiting.That was totally unexpected and i thought that was VERY impressive customer service. read more

I was on a recent trip to Minnesota, and having never had White Castle before, because they are not in the area where I live, I wanted to give them a try. This White Castle location is actually in a Mobile gas station, which I thought was an interesting set up, and though not uncommon nowadays, I was not expecting this. White Castle, is pretty typical in terms of food served, burgers, chicken, other sandwiches, fries, and soda, typical fast food fare. Being fast food, the price is inexpensive as should be expected. The food itself, I thought was okay, I got a #1 combo meal, and asked for my burgers to be plain, as I usually only like ketchup on my burgers. The meat was cooked well, though it had an onion flavor, though I had asked for my burgers to be plain, my guess is the relation to where the meat and onions are cooked on the grill must be close together. The fries in my opinion were noting to write home about, they tasted pretty average to me. This White Castle had a computerized soda machine, which had endless options for drink combinations which I liked, as your drink, to a degree is "customizable". Though I am glad I experienced White Castle, and I would be willing to eat it again if I came across another White Castle location, it is not a restaurant I would go out of my way to eat at or try and find if I were on another trip in the area. read more

The first time I came here they forgot the bacon on my BACON fries, I just brushed it off. THEN they forgot my fish nibblers. I went back their and asked for more they refused. DISGRACE. Having grown up in the Midwest, White Castle is something I try to take advantage of whenever I can. When returning from a week with 18 boys scouts in the boundary waters eating freeze dried food, I was really looking forward to a nice beefy slider. Unfortunately, we stopped at this restaurant for lunch instead of going into St. Paul. I have to say that the sliders we had bore an external physical resemblance to the sliders elsewhere, but they had almost no flavor, were not seared did not have more than a few grains of onion and were served with wet buns. These sliders had almost no flavor at all and their texture was unappetizing. The flavor was more like eating soggy cardboard with some cheese on it. If White Castle cares about their franchise, they need to step in and fix this site immediately. Do yourself a favor, don't get your food at a gas station.. One day later, we are half-way home and have had to stop to let boys use bathrooms 3-times in the past 4 hours due to diarrhea. read more
