There were apologies and eventually the owner came out and compensated the entire meal. But that's not a good business model. Will I go back? Absolutely. That seems steep, especially at a restaurant where lunch can already add up quickly and most people probably aren't carrying enough cash to cover a full meal. To their credit, there was ample signage about the surcharge, so it was not a surprise at checkout. Still, at this price point, adding nearly 4% for using a card left a bad impression. I have to be honest and say this is one of the better cheesesteaks I've had in my lifetime and trust me I've eaten a lot of cheesesteaks all over the United States.
