The food was great - my chili dog and my wife's breakfast sandwich and onion rings. Our server was prompt and helpful. The only downside of our visit came when we tried to pay. The kiosk next to our car had a slot for inserting a credit card but it didn't seem to be working. When our food was delivered I told the server and gave him my card to pay. I'm not sure what happened after that but when he finally returned with the card he didn't bring a receipt, so I guess we got a freebie. Despite that, we'll probably return because the food was good enough to ignore what was likely a one-time glitch. read more

this particular sonic is awful. there is a girl there who is named BAMBI or BAMBO. she treated my husband terribly and made comments about him not able to speak the language well. he has a strong accent but does speak clearly. she was busy rap singing foul language And it was like we were bothering or interrupting her. We tried to order but had to leave. We do not recommend this place. read more

What a freaking joke. I stop dealing with this location because of mistakes. It's been 5 years since I have been here. It was a simple order. From the time I put my order in till the time I got it was a difficult task. Now the app tells me to pull in to a mark stall and enter the number. Nothing is numbered. Basically you gotta figure that out in your own.. ( they know about it get comments on it . But do nothing.I ordered smash burgers with out pickles. It came with pickles but was missing everything else. My order did on time . But how do mess up that consistently .my receipt was right for what I ordered. If you look at the poor customer reviews. This place has a long standing of very poor customer service. I will not be back. I do not recommend this place. I honestly feel corporate doesn't care about this location. It would not have years of poor reviews. read more

Love the food but never give you ketchup when you ask and never napkins. Bathroom is disgusting!! Stinks no toilet paper and toilets always broken!! read more

I checked in and waited half an hour after app and screen said hop was on the way. I finally hit the call button and they brought it right out. I ordered ice cream and it was completely melted and ruined. The employees were just standing inside doing nothing. Manager didn't care. Tried contacting Sonic Customer Service. No help there either. read more

Stopped here for lunch on Tuesday September 9th at 12:35. Greeted on drive through speaker by what sounded like a young female who was cackling beyond control. After a moment she came back to take my order but was unable to control her maniacal laughter. No wonder the parking lot was totally empty. I left and spent money at another business. read more

it doesn't even deserve 1 start. I took someone to Sonic for their very first visit, and unfortunately, the experience was terrible from start to finish. Their order was incorrect, and I let the carhop know before they even went back inside. No one ever came back out to correct it. After waiting, I pushed the red button to speak with the person taking orders, who assured me the issue would be fixed, but again, nothing happened. I finally called the customer service hotline, and instead of resolving it properly, they offered a $5 gift card for a meal that cost much more. When I asked for a refund for the amount of the incorrect meal, I was met with the same dismissive attitude. The staff was rude, unhelpful, and clearly uninterested in making things right. It's especially disappointing because this was someone's first Sonic experience and as a longtime customer, I expected better. Sonic really needs to address training and accountability at this location. Good food doesn't make up for poor service. read more

Food is great. Service is usually good too. The only issue is they always forget sauces even when we're the only car there. The ice cream machine seems to be down each time we go as well. read more

The absolute worst. You are going to wait FOREVER. Ordered at 3:20. Estimated pickup time 3:26pm, ( arrived after estimated pick up time) other patrons ordered after we advised we were picking up an order and got food well before us. 3:46pm ended up pressing the button again politely asking for an update on our order. 4:00 we just left. Unacceptable and unfortunate!! read more

This is the worst experience I've ever had, I ordered four chicken tenders and one hotdog with two milkshake, took us a half an hour to get the order and only after I had yelled at one of the delivery people I'm disgusted I would never come here again read more

Sent a very detailed message in April to no response. Please see my attached photo. Remembered that I had messaged regarding my last experience as I was nearby and considering lunch. Glad I didn't bother since they didn't bother with me. read more

I placed an order on the app and then arrived and selected stall 9. Easy enough, right? Wrong. This was the most miserable experience I've ever had. Order placed at 12:20 and it is currently 1:23. I am one of 3 vehicles parked here and there isn't a line in the drive thru. The mobile ordering and stalls are made for a customers convenience but you choose to neglect those customers the most. Do yourself a favor and just as I'm going to stop this here and not waste anymore time on sonic, do not waste your time coming here. I've completed their feedback survey, tried to call their store, and now I'm posting a review all while still waiting. read more

Used to love going to Sonic when I lived in TX. Hanover, you suck for ruining a good thing! Slow, slow ,slow, and the food quality is garbage. Get orders wrong. They just do nothing right at this location read more

I have been eating at Sonic since I was young in the South so I have experienced many. The Sonic in Hanover PA is by far the worst I have ever seen they either open late or they are habitually out of it seems whatever I want. They are extremely slow and you be sure they will get something wrong if you have the patience to wait. Close it and open somewhere else. It has gone through several managers and it does not change it is taking up space that something else could be using. Paul read more

food is good in my opinion but it is so slow like it's called sonic for a reason shouldn't it be fast

Here I am talking about the Sonic in Hanover. We pulled up to the stall to place an order, hit the red button. 5 minutes... 5 minutes later, we are told "only service drive thru thank you" ubrupt and short. So we pulled into drive thru. We sat there for a good bit before we were greeted with " the only thing I can serve you is burgers and tots." Again abrupt and short. This time will be the last review. read more

I giving this a 2 star becuse sometimes I get good service but not really. But tonight when I bought a blast and paid almost $4 for a small. I would like it to be filled properly. Not filled half way and the rest with whipped cream. It's not hard to fill it up the the proper amount. It's the laziness. But yall complain that you don't get paid enough. Im sorry you can't even fill a cup properly what make you think you deserve $15hr. Don't get me wrong kitchen staff is great but your switchboard/car hops need better training. And this is coming from a past Sonic worker who worked in San Diego California one of the most popular stores in the country. Keep trying people. read more

This place is horrible. We have been there twice and they had no ice cream whatsoever. We went to the Drive In part and they said they don't have enough people to serve you. That's fine, but put a sign up so people know not to go in that area. Then waited in line for drive thru to be told they have no ice cream. I WILL NEVER GO BACK! read more

Do not go here. Dirty employees. Shitty slow service and food. Run the other direction

We waited over 30 minutes in the Drive-Thru for our order, and when we received it, the shakes were melted ,the food looked like crap ,the lids were not on the shakes properly so when they were handed out, they spilled all over the car and myself. We were also cussed at by one of the female workers and called b****** because we had called to inquire how long of a wait we had yet to endure. This kind of behavior is unacceptable and we will never be eating here again. read more

I wanted to do the survey but lost my receipt so I'm not here. My third time at this location and they are always quick and usually very friendly. Good selection of food also. Anyways, we did drive up and our burger was Not correct, but Abbi made it right and gave us the right burger quickly and with no issue. Thank you Abbi at Hanover sonic ! read more

So incredibly slow, have waited in the drive through for over a half hour. They let someone in the drive through hold up the line that ordered 6-8 bags of ice instead of them pulling over. Don't plan to be back at this location. read more

Staff doesn't listen to orders, isn't timely and half the time things are wrong. How is it that on 3 Friday's in a row, this particular restaurant only sells drinks (beverages) during the diner hours? I get you're short staffed, but why even open with one person just getting her hours for the week. Most families enjoy going out for a quick bite on Friday night after a long work week. I've called corporate and now waiting for a response. Good luck with getting a bite to eat here. read more

The drive up stalls are not working. However, did not know this because it seemed to be working -"we'll be with you..." after pushing red button. Post that they're not working!! this sonic got me fucked up. first charging my card then not giving me my food because the card machine "wasn't working", i am waiting at least 20 mins in line every time i'm there even if it's just one other car in line, and when i ordered mozz stick and cinnabites they have me bbq sauce??? 10/10 sucks. read more

This Sonic location seems to be very hit-or-miss. At times we have gotten fantastic, attentive service, and completely correct orders. Other times we have gotten bad service, many screw-ups with our order, and stomach troubles to boot. We have always used carhop service, never the drive-thru or park and sit at the tables, so maybe there are some differences. Be advised (particularly if you're vegan/vegetarian) that you'll often find a wayward piece of fried chicken in your tater tots. It's a fast food place, so of course it's going to be greasy and bad for you. Normally I have an iron stomach, but more often than not, Sonic food does not agree with me (unless I stick to drinks and/or ice cream). My memory is apparently short, though, and I listen to my stupid brain saying "ooooh get the chili dog!" or "jalapeno burger!" read more

went on my birthday a couple days ago and was in the drive thru line for about 10 minutes, there were people in front of me also waiting and after probably another 10 minutes passed the line started moving. Got excited at first because we've been waiting for 20 minutes, but everyone was leaving. The website said it was open at the time, but saw no one inside while the line continued to add on. Never had a issue before this, all I and my friends wanted was a red bull slushee and some food. I have sympathy if they didn't have any employees to work that day or whatever, but at least post something online or even put signs at the entrance. read more

This place is horrendous. We have gone there multiple times and they are always out of something. We went there today to get milkshakes and they were out at 3:00pm They close at 11:00 pm would recommend the tropical treat down the road if you actually want to get something rather than sit in line for 5 min and be told there out. read more

I usually don't give fast food restaurants five stars but we had such a good customer service from Hannah today. She came out in the rain (downpour) to get us our meal. She had a smile and was cheery. I don't know if be that smiley. She also went back and got a new milkshake for my babe when a fly flew in it. My kids report the tots are awesome, but strawberry slushy do not go with them (but are great separate), and the milkshakes are thick. read more

This is the worst place to eat. The portions are super small. My step mom and brother who eat like a bird had to go to McDonald's because they were still hungry. I think that sonic is a good place for a snack or someone who doesn't have much time for lunch but not for a meal. read more

i went to sonic today and they didn't cook my dads hot dog...it was pink. the lady working was very loud and didn't give me my chilly cheese tots the convo was "can i get an 11 with chilly cheese tots instead of fries and a coke" the worker : "so you want bbq sauce" my dad "no honey mustard and chilly cheese tots" the worker "so bbq sauce?" We came here for a quick treat while on vacation. My children and I ordered a shake and two frozen, flavored drinks with ice cream (forgot what they were called). It is frustrating that their menu is confusing since there is no place that lists all the flavors and add ins-maybe the regulars find the menu easier, but I felt lost, and noticed that each menu was different at each parking stall. The food was good, not great. Will take the kids to Dairy Queen next time probably. read more

The food I ordered was not correct. They gave me honey mustard instead of barbecue sauce and my grilled cheese sandwich was just a piece of cheese and bread. Took the family there on MLK Day for a treat. We watched the 4 employees on staff yelling at each other/arguing in the little kitchen. Staff was totally overwhelmed. You should have seen the face on the girl taking orders over the speaker! Not having a good day at all. Took forever to get food. Literally 20 minutes. Now I know why we don't eat at places like this. Food was ok but they were out of ice cream?! NO milkshakes isn't that what they advertise as a lure to go in? read more
