It reminds me of Bush's; good sized pieces, good crust, not very assertive in terms of seasoning (which some might call bland). The bone-in chicken was fresh, hot, and replenished frequently. The tenders were good. I wasn't hungry enough to try everything on the buffet, but if you are, it's probably a good deal. They have a slightly wimpy but adequate salad bar, and a nice array of hot sides. The mashed potatoes were good, you could choose between cream or brown gravy, and the other sides looked good. A buffet that includes the drink is a nice touch. The service was not great. My not very friendly cashier gave me a styrofoam plate (school lunch leftovers I think, with a section marked MILK, ), but not a real tray, and gave no explanation on how to approach seconds at the buffet. While I was there, two different customers had to go ask for a new plate, and almost always had to wait because the cashier was busy elsewhere. When I knocked over my drink, I mopped up what I could with napkins then notified the counter people. They were so unrestrained I wasn't sure they'd even heard me, but one did grab a mop and bucket. I apologized to them as they cleaned up, but no one ever said anything. I don't expect them to be happy about an extra clean up, but decent customer service requires at least acknowledging an embarrassed and apologetic customer!!

We stood in line for about 15 minutes because the cashier appeared to be having trouble with the register. We were patient and understood that everyone has to learn, but by the time it was our turn, breakfast had ended by one minute. We asked if we could still order breakfast, and we were told yes. As we continued ordering, I overheard what seemed to be a manager say, "If they want their breakfast food, they have to order it now," instead of speaking directly to us. We then had to separate and pay for our breakfast order before finishing the rest of our meal.After being told our three breakfast bowls could be made, we were then informed they actually couldn't. We were offered substitutions we didn't want, so we requested a refund and ordered from the lunch menu instead. Throughout the interaction, the cashier seemed visibly frustrated, repeatedly sighing and acting as though we were an inconvenience. I work in fast food myself, so I understand stressful situations happen. However, customer service means remaining professional and treating guests with respect. Wife and I left central Texas and headed east for a Thursday wedding. Looked for bites close to our hotel; swung in for food ahead of our check in time. Simple order at the counter process; make it your way! First, the staff (all 2 of them) produced the most glorious Caesar Salad. Tossed at our request it could have been served at the fanciest steakhouse in Texas. Might consider a pepper grinder behind the counter. Both of our pizzas were delicious. My modified Dominic kept the Alfredo Sauce, chopped Basil, Asiago, Sausage, and Red Onion. Added Roasted Garlic and Mushrooms and got rid of the Tomato slices. MOD is quick and basically blows away just about any national pizza chain in quality and product. Skip the HUT and Dominos and go here instead.
