The sausage patty itself was lukewarm. The muffin wasn't even toasted. The egg was room temperature, too. I ate two bites and cast it to the wildlife on the side of the road. I'm betting even they would pass on that disaster. There was not one redeemable quality about that meal. I do not get McDonald's very much. Maybe two or three times a year. When I do get it, it's because I still acknowledge the fact that the sausage McMuffin with Egg, when it's served hot and fresh, is easily the best breakfast sandwich on the market. It is without peer when it's properly served. The McDonald's in Mount Horeb has always been terrible, and they ruined my Tuesday morning by serving up a joke of a sandwich. I frankly thought this place would have been closed years ago due to incompetence and a lack of cleanliness.
