I'm from Texas and working up here in Illinois and Iowa. One of my coworkers recommended Culver's for a Good burger. So I had to make sure he wasn't pulling my leg. As I pulled up to Drive through the place was jammed packed. So that automatically let me know that people will wait in line for something delicious. Well to make this short and delicious. Unreal. Ordered Culver's deluxe single, they did NOT include the patty. Basically gave me a glorified grilled cheese but paid burger price. Unbelievable. I guess they must've forgot they sell patties at the burger joint. Tread lightly you've been warned! read more

4/5 times I have went here through the drive thru my order has been mistaken and messed up. The food is only good when they put the right things on it. Dinning in is the only way to eat here if you even want to get what you ordered but even then you might have a wait of up to 15-20 minutes. read more

I usually love culvers but $28 for a kids meal and 2 sandwich baskets is pretty steep, especially when my sandwich was burnt and dry. I have going here for years and the quality and quantity has really depreciated. I won't be coming back. Said something to manager and she just smiled. read more

I always stop here while driving back home to Iowa. It's at the perfect point to grab a cup of coffee in the morning, stretch my legs, use the facilities...all good stuff. I also notice that a lot of people bring their dogs out to do those very same things - it's enjoyable to watch them play on the small lawn. This past summer, this Culver's even hosted a classic car expo - very cool! Driving home on Sunday afternoon, one usually gets a little parched and/or road weary, so obtaining a large soda or maybe some frozen custard or a greasy burger is a sure way to cure this boredom. I've also made a promise to myself that I would never consume fried cheese curds anywhere but this particular Culver's. They've always been divine - well, as divine as fried cheese can be, but that's pretty damn holy, IMHO - I've mostly done this to prevent myself from gorging on the plump little chrunchy cheesy goodies. This Culver's is far enough away that I can't get to it often - maybe 3-4 times/year - and I figure that infrequent of consumption of greasy goodness won't line my arteries with all THAT much saturated fat...will it? read more

Definitely do the lemon ice. Soooo yummy and only 84 calories. I'm a new fan. I can check all my calories per meal in their brochure. Much easier to stick to a diet. read more

Totally impressed with our food last night. I had the chicken cashew salad and my husband had the mushroom Swiss burger. Both were delicious, served promptly, hot. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. We will definitely be eating there again during our stay in Galena read more

Went in about an hour ago for some custard. Here on vacation... ordered 3 custards... one of them with fudge... first the girl that made it accidentally made too large of a custard (my wife ordered a mini and they made her a large.... they put 3 FULL SCOOPS in the cup, realized it wasn't the correct size and just tossed it in the trash.... WHAT A WASTE OF FOOD!!!! Should of just made the mistake and gave it to the customer.... then they made it and it was literal soup.... it looked like it was sitting there for a half hour.... I replied: "are we supposed to eat this?" He said: "do you want me to make you another?" No one will eat that soup..... how it passed between two different people and still got served is beyond me. Anyone with any common sense would not let that be served ever... you really need to look at who you employ... it was a bunch of kids running a restaurant... unacceptable.... bad experience.... really boggles the mind on how these kids thought someone would eat that.... and on top of that Witnessed them waste perfectly good dairy because it was too big.... It seems that Happy Joe's and Culver's are the main fast food places in the Galena area. For the love of God and all that is holy skip Happy Joe's and go to Culver's. Just like most other Culver's the food was great, ice cream was tasty, restaurant was clean, and prices were reasonable. read more

Horrible drive thru service. You have to wait very long. When we got home to eat our food half of the order was missing!! You'd think for the outrageous priced food the least they can do it make sure you have all the food you ordered.... very upset on how this establishment is run. read more

Best Culver's ever. We had our food in less than 2 minutes after filling our drinks and finding a table (even though the parking lot was packed). I absolutely adore their "share" nights too. Such a great way to support the community! read more
