Popped into this corner cafe , which is located right next to the trolley company. If you're looking for a quick sweet snack and a cup of coffee while you wait for the trolley , this is the place to go. It's located directly next door. They have a private bathroom here , which you need to ask the workers for the key to access. This place provides delicious handcrafted churrosmade fresh throughout the day. We sampled the combo , which had two churros and a dipping sauce and added an iced pistachio coffee. The churros and the dipping sauce were absolutely incredible. One of the best churros I have ever tasted. They have numerous flavor options for the churros.And also many different kinds of dipping sauce , it made it hard to choose. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. They paused to let me take some photos.And also showed me their quick efficient process of making the churros fresh to order. There's plenty of tables inside the cafe to sit down and enjoy your order. It's also air conditioned , in case you're trying to get out of the heat and looking for some shade. We discovered this new addition to downtown Galena and found it is the exact restaurant we never knew we needed! Corner Churro Cafe is your new destination for high quality coffee and delicious churro desserts! With great indoor seating and outdoor seating, you can come as an individual or as a group. The shop is open, spacious, and clean. They had adorable decorations ready for the upcoming Halloween holiday. The staff are friendly and helpful. Given the expansive menu, they are happy to answer questions about the different options. I got a basic black cold brew and my husband got the hazelnut latte iced. We both loved our drinks and got our caffeine fix for our drive home. For a snack, we shared the "El traditional" churro, which comes with two regular cinnamon/sugar churros. It was perfect for us to share. If I had been more hungry, the S'mores Churro looked decadent and delicious! Prices were reasonable, portions were perfect, and the entire experience was positive from start to finish. We cannot wait to go back to Corner Churro Cafe next time we are in town! read more

Took Jr's here for the 1st time. Very clean! Hard to choose between which Churros we wanted. We decided on chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry. They were all a hit with all of us. Loved them all. My favorite was the chocolate. Spanish-Mexican Churros are the bomb! We will be back to try the other flavors and items on the menu! read more

This was my second time here and both times I've been more than satisfied with the coffee, service and ambiance. We ordered a raspberry latte, a blueberry lotus energy drink, and an iced chai. At first, I was given a raspberry tea but as soon as I mentioned the mistake, they let me keep that drink and made me the latte. They even warned me of potential milk curling (due to the raspberry syrup) but I took the risk and got it anyways -- it was great! The barista was very kind and full of compliments, which is always nice. The churros smelled amazing and I will definitely have to get one next time. Absolutely delicious churros! I've hated churros my entire life and as we were passing by, my dad couldn't resist the smell and said we had to stop. We ordered the Signature Dip and Dream Combo. The churros looked different than the ones I've had before, so i decided I'd give them a try and holy moly were they amazing! The texture- perfectly crispy, sweetness- perfectly balanced and dipping it in their dark hot chocolate? Perfection! I wouldn't change a thing. If anything, they changed me and the way I viewed churros and I'm not saying this as someone who hasn't had churros in ten years. I do check ins and try the things I dislike every few years, I tried churros again last year and hated them. All to say these churros entirely changed the way I view churros! They're amazing! If you disagree- I don't trust you or your taste buds! Which is a strong statement, I get, but these are just too good and I haven't stopped thinking about them since I had them and now panicking because I know I can't get these unless I'm in galena. read more

I sampled every flavor (because how could I not?), and the apple was the standout sweet, warm, and perfectly spiced. My wife ordered a coffee, and it was just as impressive. Great strength, balanced sweetness, and incredibly fresh. Honestly, it paired perfectly with the churros. We kept saying, "If this place were in Chicago, it would be an instant hit." Walked past this place and had to try it out. I believe they just opened a few months ago. All the coffee drinks our group ordered were VERY high quality (I'm from Seattle and very picky about coffee) - the caramel macchiato and vanilla lattes were awesome. And the churros were delicious - made fresh to order with strawberry, vanilla and Dulce de leche filling. Will definitely come back here!!! read more

Cute place. Very clean. Not quite restaurant feel but also not quite a coffee shop. I asked for an order of Churros y Chocolate and the young guy at the counter had absolutely no idea what I had ordered (womp womp). Churros were delicious and the chocolate was also very good (not quite as thick as in Madrid but just as tasty!). My only complaint would be the price. It is quite literally fried dough covered in cinnamon and sugar. With their prices they are making a massive profit on the product. read more

They were all good in their own right but we ranked them: Best: Strawberry, Apple, Vanilla, Dulce de Leche, Nutella and Guava (which was unique).
